"That cave is the death priest's base of operation. I am sure there will be others inside. Let's go warn the others. Heck, we could drop some rocks on their heads." He scans the area as they near the gnoll's cave, searching for any particularly large rocks ...

"Hmm. That's a bunch of zombies that are not in the cave with the priest. Do we take this opportunity to slip inside, or do we get back to the main group and help them deal with those guys?"
"We need to warn the others, if this lot catch them by surprise they could be in real trouble."
"Thanks for the information Pim, I never liked that merchant. Is the girl climbing up the pipe? Is she trustworthy being trained by the Necromancer? There are a load of zombies coming we could have to move."
Pimlan shakes his head "No she can't fit up the chimney. But she did warn us that the place is trapped or I suppose hinted at it. Currently the necromancer is preoccupied with some new subject of some sort of undead nature I would assume."

Gyb
"Not just rocks", Gyb replies to Meinhardt. "A log or tree. Several at once could be hit with a good roll." He too starts looking for something suitable to pitch over the edge.
"We need to warn the others, if this lot catch them by surprise they could be in real trouble."
"Yes, now that you say it, that is the best course of action. We need to help our companions from the known threat that approaches."

"Gyb's idea does have merit. If there is something immediately available to drop on those things we could manage both that and a warning."

Loyn-Dwarf fighter
Loyn listens to the halfling “Pim, Where’s Bugs, you left without him…why didn’t he come with? How were you able to converse with this girl without being noticed? Maybe she’s the trap?” Loyn keeps an eye on his surroundings while pacing around.

Not wanting to get in the middle of a melee with some sort of beast with Gnolls that are hyped up, Keya stas near the rear, getting ready to light torch if needed.

One Short Of A Baker's Dozen
Splitting The Party Into Thirds
Early Afternoon, Warm Clear
Seeing fallen logs and large rocks all over the top of this ridge, the gang of four hurries to catch up with the slow moving shamblers walking the ledge below them. They collect some natural ammunition as they pass through a copse of trees, exiting just as the zombies are crawling up to meet the trio of Loyn, Renna, and Pimlan, who appear to be chatting at the chimney hole as the monsters advance upon them. (please include d20 rolls for any attacks with rocks or logs)
Pimlan gives out some misleading information, getting a few of his facts misconstrued as he informs the others of what he and Bugs encountered below. He does mention that the girl below said something about a pair of newcomers that are currently being experimented on, whoever that may be. Before he has a chance to offer a rebuttal to Loyn's questions, they all spot the shambling zombies that were headed towards them approaching even closer, with nearly all 8 of them on the same level now, and only a few yards away from the hole.

The odd looking dog sized monster cries out loudly in pain as the Gnolls attack it relentlessly, causing it to immediately turn back around the corner and flee down the stairs. The crazed Gnolls follow behind it with spears and swords ripping at its scaly behind the entire way. Tammuz shrugs at the nearby elves and their companions, wondering if they will follow along behind the attacking Gnolls who chase the creature even deeper inside the complex while shouting war cries and banging the walls with their weapons.
Magdal and Keya watch the cave entrance behind the group, noticing that nothing else has entered behind them yet at this point. Daliedhur risks a look down the passage where the Gnolls ran, seeing a long stairway down and another intersection in the hallway beyond.
The commotion coming from the hallway grows so quickly that Bugs barely has a chance to react. He hears much growling and shouting, likely from the Gnolls he assumes might be nearby, with steel banging off stone loudly as the noise draws nearer. Unsure what to do about it, Bugs suddenly spots a horrifying creature appear at the intersection in the hallway up ahead. It seems about to head down the hall straight for him, apparently running away from the loud noises following it.
He stops short and gulps. The next thing he does is jump up and down, waving his arms while yelling at the creepy dog. "Woof! Woof!" If it doesn't slow down and keeps coming for him, he will turn and run back to the library.

Pimlan"He asked me if I wanted to sneak around or come back up and inform you all of what we discovered. I said I would come back up so you all aren't left wondering what is going on. I plan to go back down and help him." he replies.

Renna
"Did you notice the Smelly-Friends" pointing at the 8 zombies that have snuck up on us.
The Elf is not crazy happy with the 'mad gnoll rush' tactic, but he follows along.
He will stop at the first intersection though, and peer into the side tunnel.

Ithrandir also follows the gnolls, although he doesn't like this at all. If there's an intersection at which Dalieldhur stops, he will do so too, as it makes sense to him.

Magdal
Magdal stares dumbfounded as both the gnolls and the elves run after the strange creature. "That could easily lead them into a trap," she remarks casually. She then starts following bow at the ready not wanting to be left alone here.

Meinhardt
Meinhardt wrestles with the largest rock he can find and makes like a giant, hurling (dropping?) it into the mass of zombies below.
