Thank you Bregalad and Saul, and anyone else that chips in. I will work it into the story line that you are helping me out with some coinage for the items I need.

Good thing I did not take Saul's armor. He would have to go around naked under the cloak. He would be the thief flasher instead of the thief snatcher.

Don't give him any ideas!

:o

Why didn't I think of that! ;)

I honestly thought I'd just head back and get the armor if things got too dangerous, turns out TK missed my intention and kept using it's values for AC and there I was, for all purposes, just naked with a backpack, cloak, belt and boots. I blame the boots for my amazing AC!

Feels odd attacking Pig Sasha like that but you gotta admit that troll had it coming!

Tratiln is now level 3. That gives elves 2 Level I spells and 1 Level II spells, though I don't have any spells currently memorized. We also get 1 more weapon feat at this level.
@tk - I only took a 5% attribute bonus, since I really didn't map the tower

Sorry if anyone else wanted to contribute but I figured that bit would fit with Saul's current mood and 100 isn't really a lot, just really enough for a horse and a bread and board for a few days so if anyone wants to help out I imagine Innana still needs quite a few items.

Saul, Thank you. That will help quite a bit. I hope they have a forge in town so that I can work on those horseshoes for you. Also, I will pay you back as soon as I can.

Don't sweat it, I just want to help out considering we're fighting against some harder enemies now and Saul knows how it is to be in need.

Also if you pay him you're gonna find the money in your pouch later on. Saul is investigating a new skill: Reverse thievery (Patent Pending). :lol:

Regarding the horse shoes, I appreciate the offer and I'll take you up on it if TK says they need changing. Thanks a lot!

Wait a minute... I think I'm playing my thief all wrong, dude's more like a bi-polar bard than a thief. When's the last time anything went missing? Folks, prepare to start checking your equipment every night!

Yes, I am kidding! :D

Is there a smith in town who can repair this shield? I am willing to pay double the cost of a normal shield to have it done, as it is of great personal value to me."

If a craftsman of shields is not available, then the elf will ask where he can purchase a new one.
Innana wrote:Innana overheard Bregalad asking information on a local blacksmith for his shield. Innana clears her throat and waits for Brigalad to turn around. "Hi" Innana smiles, and continues, "I could not help but to overhear that your shield is important to you, and that you may be in need of a blacksmith. Well, it looks like you are in luck, because I am a blacksmith. And if there is a forge that I could use in this town I may be able to do a trade."
TK, is it possible for Innana to repair Bregalad's broken metal shield, using her smithing skill? If so, that would be cool. Bregalad would gladly pay her to do this (and pay for the use of a forge, if one exists in Jessup).

Lots of catching up to do. Will update my char sheet and post later tonight.

TK, a short while ago you asked about the wand from the goblins. That's the Wand of Ganch, unless I'm mistaken, and it's listed in Drudsa's inventory.

Did some minor edits to my latest post, I thought we were outside the inn.

Zeb, try out that wand. What's the worse that can happen? ;)

@everyone, I'm cool with assuming that everything listed for purchases (including a horse for Innana) is readily available at normal price (except for a warhorse, which will cost 1.5x as much) and there is no need to role-play such purchases. Don't forget we're going to start tracking bandages for First Aid.

@elves that have leveled. I'm assuming all three of you will begin to train to take advantage of a weapon feat. I know Bregalad will be focusing on the spear; can I get intentions from the other two as to which weapon to study? If you guys take it pretty easy for the rest of the day there will be four hours total to practice. This four hour block goes for both weapon/new spells, since y'all can now cast 2nd level spells. So, you could spend the four hours practicing with a blade, learning a new spell, or devote two hours to both.

I'm a little unsure about where I stand on allowing you guys to cast 1st level spells in 2nd level slots. At this point I think I'm fine with it.

@Zebediah. Let me know what spell you want to start studying. I had asked about the wand simply because you hadn't used it; I'm guessing that is mainly because an opportunity hasn't come up yet.

@tk - Tratiln will begin to spend a couple hours here and there practice with his sword (normal) to increase the weapon slot. He'll keep working on Analyze and after that will go for a 2nd level spell.

If we are doing 1st level spells in the 2nd level slot, Tratiln will have memorized for the next day:

Rainbow Attack
Sleep
Leap (I think I miswrote it as Levitate in the Standards thread)

@spellcasters - if you want to send me messages I'll update the Standards thread with what spells you have in your spellbooks and what spells you are working on.

Are we going to buy First Aid Kits out of party funds? We should get a lot of them...

There are 1d8+4=12 First Aid kits available in Jessup.

Innana, I forgot that you will probably need a bit more gold to outfit your riding horse (75gp) with Saddle and Tack (25gp) and Saddle Bags (5gp). So, Bregalad will give you 20gp. Including Saul's gift of 100gp, that should give you 120gp. Please, keep the change!

Wow, there is a lot of stuff to address!

First, I suggest a basic game plan for the party:

Lanny recommends spending the rest of this day, plus another 2 full days, in Jessup.

@elves:
1. Recommend to finish learning the spells we have already been studying (Analyze and Ventriloquism) - these could be finished in as little as 2 hours, but willing to dedicate the rest of the day (4 hours) if needed.
2. The following 2 days: Spend completely in weapon training (16 hours) to become skilled with your chosen weapon (Lanny's chosen weapon is the longbow, by the way). This will give us a decisive advantage against the kobolds or any other enemies we decide to pursue.
3. I suggest we elves forget about spending time learning a level 2 spell right now because we have no spell scribing supplies anyway, so it would really be a waste of time to do so right now. Spell scribing supplies will probably only be available in larger towns like Threshold.
4. Elves, don't forget to adjust your saving throws too (if you are now at Level 3).

@Marodin:
1. Lanny has no coinage to purchase first aid kits. If Marodin is willing to purchase the kits this time, Lanny (as the backup healer) will purchase them next time. We might as well buy all 12 of them (I'm sure we will be able to use all of them), and we can divide them up amongst the most likely healers in the group (at least Marodin/Semele/Lanny).
2. I noticed that Semele has scale mail armor. Since we might be in town for a few days, we might have time for her to be properly fitted for plate mail armor for some added protection (assuming there is an armorer here in Jessup). Then everyone in the party would be wearing the most protective armor type available to their character class (Semele's AC would drop from AC4 to AC1, which could prove to be a lifesaver for her, given that she has only 5 hp).
3. I would guess that 2 1/2 days worth of CLW spells, in addition to normal rest, would likely get everyone (including Thordin and Marodin) back up to their maximum hp.

@everyone:
1. TK mentioned a few things that might take a couple of days to finish (like the holy water), so if we all agree to spend these 2 1/2 days in Jessup, then all of these things can be accomplished during this time frame (this can also include using Analyze spells on all of our unidentified magic items).
2. Before leaving town again, Lanny definitely wants to spend time talking to a village elder/town historian about everything the party has found and learned at the tower, but for efficiency's sake, I don't mind waiting until all of the normal "town business" and the technical mumbo-jumbo of levelling up is out of the way.

Frobozz, thanks for taking the time to get us organized. I pretty much agree with everything you've written.

Lucky for you that Marodin was sour with the idea of paying to store his money at the bank, rather than earning interest on it, and decided to carry it all around with him. He will buy the First Aid Kits.
