after examining the parchment and making some notes he addresses the group
im not familiar with the language and cant read the context but at  least i'm sure this word (he undermarks his notes and points to the parchment) means emergency, it could mean "to take" or "use in emergency" but i cannot say with confidence
without certainty I'm not sure administering would fulfill the Hippocratic oath but without help he might also not survive the trip back to the city,  it would be understandable if a legal guardian made the decision to give it to him (he looks at the companions of the victim to see if they are making a decision and gives the note and discs to Ceana)

Well as I said earlier I can use more of my medicines and pray again, it should help him be in better condition, but I don't think it gets him walking. With that he'll prepare his gear and start applying some of his ointment to the burned skin and chanting. If not objections he'll finish the healing prayer.

maybe we can find something in the next room to help.....

to be honest i hesitate to leave without exploring more, i think we have shaken the tree and most of the obstacles have come at us already, it was costly to get the place cleared as much as it is now, there are some sealed tombs in the next room but it seems to me if there was something that could get out it would have already and if there is something still trapped within, we can control how we engage, it wont be the same if we open one tomb at a time and there's all of us to deal with a single threat.

i plan to continue a bit more, can we continue together?

Answering Belloc "I am fine with that, I agree that there is some value checking out what we've opened before departing as not doing so could simply aid others to prosper from our hard earned gains."

The druid pockets the two tablets and the note and watches as Taibhse gives Kain some more healing.
Assuming Kain's breathing improves, she says, "I'll go with and do a bit more exploring. Like you said Belloc, maybe we can find something else to help our injured companions."

Tuurma shrugs and then stretches out, like a cat, flexing her muscles.

"I mean, I have no armor, no shield, no weapon, and...well nothing at all really. So yes, we should at least go through the rooms we've already disturbed. Maybe there's some jewelry or other valuable that we can bring back. Unfortunately I...ehrm...sort of lost track of what thing came from which room, so if you'll lead the way?"

Cormag will offer Tuurma his hand axe for her slaying enjoyment. He is also of a mind to explore while we're here.

I never do this.

Never.

But I feel like I have little other choice.

I have been struggling with the fact that MR hasn’t played in this game since……sometime last year. I know how that would make me feel as a player, especially if there was a possible solution at hand.

So, if you plan on continuing on, which is fine with me, can I have the team retrace one step here and think again about how a DM might try to remedy a single player being out of action for several months?

I despise forcing any players hand, especially in a Sandbox game, but I also can’t let one person sit out for even longer after an easy fix is introduced.

Ceana

Unsure what exactly to do...but trusting Zoon'Deh's mercy and guidance, she props Kain's head up on her knee, takes her waterskin and places one of the tablets in his mouth; giving him a sip of water, she coaxes it down his throat.
"Please work..." she whispers prayerfully.

The Lost Mausoleum
Surviving The Night, Early Morning

After an exhaustive search is completed, nothing more is found inside this room. Taibhse preforms another shamanistic ritual over the groups fallen cleric, but his limited powers here aren't quite strong enough to bring the man back to consciousness.

Belloc is unsure about the note or the newly found pills, handing them over to Ceana who initially stores them away in her pack.

Tuurma doesn't seem bothered by her recent near death experience, mentioning the bad news about her sword and armor. Cormag eagerly offers her another weapon to use after seeing the carnage she caused one day earlier.

After a short talk about searching further before they leave this place, (and some sudden abnormal mind intervention) the group looks back to their fallen friend, having second thoughts about using the smelly snake-eye pills they just found.

Ceana cautiously crushes and mixes one of the snake-eyes with some water before pouring it down the throat of their badly wounded cleric, whispering a prayer to Zoon'Deh as she manually coaxes the mixture down. After a few moments and a bit of messy gurgling, the liquid drains downwards, eventually allowing Kain to slowly open his eyes once again. (healed 5 hit points)

Having no idea what has happened to him, the crew, or even knowing what time of day it is anymore, the first thing Kain does notice is the acid burns covering his hands and other exposed skin. Then he counts one member short of a full party, realizing that Maxon the desert warlock is no longer present inside this forgotten sandstone crypt.

Kainaxarthos

Much obliged! :D And a tip of the hat to OM, who didn't need to force things, but I'm glad he did.

Kain coughs forcefully, expelling the remnants of his demise. "Well, crap. That sucked. Thanks, everyone for not letting me die." He looks at the newcomer and nods. "I suspect I have you to thank as well."

He smiles at Ceana, wincing at the tightness in his face. "Good to see you again." He lowers his voice and glances at Tuurma. "What happened to her? Why'd she lose her armor?"

"Tell Maxon I'm up, and ready to keep moving. I think." He groans as he tries to stand.

"Whoa, whoa take it easy!" she says as Kain tries to get up. "I have another of these pills I forced you to swallow...if you want it. As for Maxon...he didn't make it." She lowers her gaze and shudders.

glad to see Kains recovery but keeps quiet a few moments as the news of his sink in, offers some of the tee still left and as things progress he adds

We were getting ready to move and investigate the room already opened, our thought was that maybe we cleared the immediate dangers and with a bit more coordination we could hopefully handle any remaining threats one at a time.....
do you feel up to it?

Tuurma now seems to recall a bit of what happened during the fight.

"Yes, Maxon, he...he fell to the hordes of the undead. She looks up to the ceiling and stays silent for a while, staying in that stoic pose for quite some time. Maybe saying some internal prayer? Finally she takes a deep breath.

"We must carry on. Obviously some rooms have been left completely undisturbed for years, as the undead have been guarding them. There might be treasures left for us to find, which we are in dire need of. I need new protection, and also, a share should go to a proper burial ceremony for Maxon. Kain, are you able to move with us? As soon as we get back, we should see to it that you get proper healing as well." She looks at the others, "If you all agree?"

Ok, so help me out here. We've checked room 1, 1 and 2 already. Did we search through 5 and 6? We were attacked in room 6 but I don't recall if we searched it? Which room contained the snake eye pills? The topmost long room we should go through for sure, since we already "cleared" (to the extent of our knowledge) it from monsters apart from maybe those one still in their coffers. I can go back and check the thread thoroughly during the weekend if needed to.

Taibhse

Seeing Kain awaken he begins to gather his gear and ready himself to move.

Tuurma still had my hand axe when given the 2nd one. So I'm fine if she keeps two or not, just don't want it lost.

If I'm looking at the map on page 12 correctly, we've cleared all the rooms except for 3 (the whited out room) and 4. Is that right, OM?

Rooms 1 and were entered and searched.

Room 2 was entered but not searched.

Room 3 has not been investigated.

Room 4 was viewed by Crestos, but as of yet not entered.

Room 5 was entered and searched, and you are currently residing in room 6.

Cormag speaks up. I think it makes sense to examine the room to the north. We know roughly what it looks like, thanks to the owl. And we know that we have killed, or re-killed, as the case may be, over a dozen of its undead I didn't keep an accurate count, but a bunch, anyway tenants, if we enter together, we should be able to put down the rest. Once that is done, we can decide if we want to reach the room to the south.

Did we actually search room 2? I thought Cormag was looking into it when the undead attack started, but maybe that was room 3?

Right you are, Vince. (thanks for making me go back and check)

The door to room 2 was forced opened, but the room wasn't searched yet since the monsters were attracted to your banging and came to investigate.

Well, the door is open to Room 4...so we can close it and search 2 & 3, or we can search 4 and then come back to the others. Or we can leave, heal up, restock, and come back later in the day/night. I'm good for either; Ceana is ready to explore. ;)
