Akhilleus
"When we throw the corpses, the worm will be distracted eating them, and we can cross. It's something we need to do fast. That's why we're also bringing the raft along.
Since we'll have to cross in two turns, probably, we’ll need to throw half of the corpses first, and the second half later. Maybe leaving one behind is also a good idea—that way the worm will go for it while we're sailing away."
The warrior strokes his beard.
"How we’ll handle it when we come back from Xambaala and want to keep exploring this place... that's a matter for another time."
If I'm not wrong, we pretty much slept in the room where we slew the snake-men and also prepared the raft. If it's not the same room, then the snake-men are in the adjacent one, which isn’t far at all. So, in a single trip, we should be able to bring both the corpses and the raft to the underwater river side.

It helps to think vertically − I believe we're now actually quite far from the snake-men. We're on this island with a dome at the surface and giant stairs down to Underborea. We killed the snake-men "downstairs" and then brought the wood pieces "upstairs" and we slept in the dome. Now we've decided to go back down for the corpses, but we can just leave the wood up here in the dome (I don't think it's been completely assembled into a raft yet, either).

You're right. I thought we were resting in the room below, with two keeping watch, one at each doorway, and that just Magda and Drest came upstairs looking for driftwood. That can give you an impression of how I read everything
My bad.
So, yes, one thing after another and no need to take the raft

Sik heads down to start the grisly work of dismembering the Snakemen.

Under The Zakath Desert
Ups And Downs Of Adventuring
Still No Idea On Time Or Day
After their rest cycle is complete, the group returns to the massive set of stairs and begins the long descent once again.
Sweating at the bottom, they look around to see no indications of a possible Snakeman ambush.
Just like they did last time, the surviving Snakemen seem to have cleared away any of the bodies that were left behind.
Drest checks his sword again but sees no indication that any reptilian enemies are currently nearby.
Actions? Drest (Sc4) FA:3 AC7 22/22 Magic Sword
Xenos (DS3) FA:3 AC5 15/17
Akhilleus (F4) FA:4 AC4 34/35
Kainaxarthos (C3) FA:2 AC6 19/19
Magda (W2) FA:0 AC9 8/8 Hooded Lantern
Sik (Ba2) FA:2 AC5 17/25
Cyril (Pr3) FA:1 AC8 9/12

"Damnit, I knew we should have gone before we rested," Sik laments, before turning his gaze to the seemingly dead-eyed shaman.

Akhilleus sighs and eyes the prisoner too.
"I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it—Helios knows I hate these bastards. But we could get a lot of information from him. I’d only do it as a last resort. I think we should try crossing the waters like we’ve done before.
One thing we ought to do is get the raft ready from a distance, instead of right next to the river. That way, we reduce the chances of the worm hearing us and coming this way."

Drest
"We can always start asking questions as we cross and if he doesn't answer just toss him in with the slug." Drest says with a chuckle.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
have we been dragging that snakeman we tied up this whole time? I thought we'd abandoned him. My (half joking) reference was to Taibhise.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Let's say Taibhse was taking care of him and there you have it

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Sik was just saying to throw Taibhise in the water. Sort of a meta suggestion

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
No harm done! It's already been weeks of real time since the party climbed out of there, so I get it...
My signature move is to post something about "B," right after Rob explained "A" is going on, and he's understandably not a fan of that sort of thing
I thought you were hinting that "Taibhse" might have been replaced by a disguised snakeman imposter... but that would still come out to the same end result.
I don't quite remember what happened to our captive. I think we let Drest kill it!

Kainaxarthos
He droops his shoulders as the bait plan seems to have faded away. "We're rested, and I think it's a new day? Let's press on and find that gem."
Kain looks to the others. "What do you think? Are you game? I say we go east. Back to that creepy hallway."
