Loch

Loch heads for the mill. Keeping alert as he goes for anything else of interest.

You proceed along the route which you took yesterday, putting the carcasses of cattle behind but haunted by Flynn's words. You spy the mill in the distance, the tall grass in front of it and lining the road still swaying gently with the breeze. The only break in the grass is the area where the rats sprang out and caught the group by surprise.

"Do we want to check out where the rats came from? Maybe it is a tunnel entrance?"

"Good idea, might help prevent further surprises or reveal some clue as to what's going on here"

Loch carefully moves to where he thinks the rats came from, looking for anything that tells him where they might have come from.

As you move into the tall grass where the rats where previously encountered, you find plenty of areas where the grass has been pushed down by the passage of the large rodents but nothing indicating burrows or tunnels.

How long do you plan to search in the grass and how large of an area are you searching?

Loch

Lets say 3 turns of searching, however large an area that allows.

Flynn

In an unaccustomed show of courage, Flynn has joined the searchers in the tall grass. He keeps an eye out for trouble while they seach the ground.

Walking around in the tall grass, you find a number of trails both large and small left by the rats. Flynn doesn't find anything conclusive in his investigation of the trails, managing only to find his way back to the path you followed into the grass. The others however all come to the same conclusion, the majority of the paths lead back to the windmill which is the main fixture on this property. As you are walking around, you find hundreds of rats, startled by your presence who scatter at your approach. You even encounter three more giant rats who seem hesitant to give ground but quickly change their minds, chittering at you as they scatter as well.

"Well, I guess the next stop is the windmill. I wonder if anybody would be upset if we set fire too it?" he looks around at the others "That's a joke, although come to think of it maybe not such a bad idea. I don't fancy taking on a whole nest, based on our last fight"

Loch

"I agree on the windmill, we should hold the burn it down option to a last resort I think."
