Sparrow inspects the various instruments of torture, no longer interested in trying any of them out.

What do you suppose that imp was speaking of when she said she would show us treasure?

"Infernal creatures such as these cannot be trusted. More than likely it was a lie. Making bargains with Devils is unwise even should she have been telling the truth. Imps are sometimes taken as familiars by a more nefarious sort of wizard! We should be wary incase this one had made such a pact. Perhaps it was this vanished neighbouring mages!" the gnome replies whilst tapping at the walls and floor of the chamber.

Finding nothing unusual with the statue of the bull or the cauldron, Ciar moves over to the wracking table, leaned up against the wall and examines it more closely, as well.

Ciar moves over to the wracking table leaned up against the wall and examines it more closely. The horrible device shows evidence of heavy use in the past, but doesn't look to be extraordinary in any way.

Elsewhere, Kassal spends several minutes searching each wall, looking for secret doors. The gnome discovers an unusual looking vertical crack in the northeast corner of the room which looks out of place. Studying the actual crack and the surrounding area more closely, Kassal proudly announces that he's discovered a hidden passage.

Ciar stops what he's doing and moves to where Kassel is, in case he needs help with opening it.

"Well done, backstabber!" exclaims Sylvan. He stays near the back of the party, and will remain with Fulp, closing the visible door if nobody else remains in the room with him. "I'll let those of you more suited for exploring and discovering traps proceed."

The gnome grins wryly at the jibe.

"Say, can you twiddle your fingers and sing some hippy melody and heal people? The poor trap springer you wanna push ahead of you is at deaths door thanks to jumping in front of my daggers! Be a good chap and cast your magic over him would you?" the gnome says jovially.

He will look to see if there is an protrusions or opening mechanisms around the passages entrance.

"What do you think Ciar, can you open it?"

Ciar shrug his shoulders, then winces in pain, and examines the presumed area to see if he can figure out the opening mechanism.

"Don't be running off, buddy," Festus says to Fulp, and then walks over to the newly discovered door.

He looks at it closely and checks out the wall around the edges of it, feeling for anything that might trigger an opening.

The rest of the party, except for Fulp, moves to examine the newly discovered secret door, built of the same stone as the surrounding walls.

Closer study of the immediate area reveals that the bottom of the secret door itself is slightly raised above the floor. While no obvious handles or levers are found, a faint, semi-circle ring, the width of the secret opening, suggest that the door may spin open.

After a few quiet moments, Ciar says, "Doesn't look trapped to me."

He leans into the door, pushing nearest the seam in the wall to see if the door will open that way.

Ciar notices right away that the secret door itself is much thinner than the actual walls surrounding it. As he applies pressure to the door nearest the seam, it begins to easily spin on a well-hidden center axis.

Beyond the door, a passage extends about 10 feet before it turns north.

A light source, and actually entering the passage will be required in order to explore it further.

Ciar looks back at the table with the implements on it and nods his head once.

He makes his way to Fulp's prone body and borrows the inactive man's lantern and a flask of oil. "Don't mind if we use this, do you, mate?"

He turns and heads back to the secret passage, calling over his shoulder, "Oh, blink once for yeah and so on..." When he is back at the entrance to the secret passage, he lights the lantern and enters the passage.
