"My only interest in ingots is in if they are valuable--and it sounds as though they are--and if so, acquiring more of them. If you're having trouble selling them, I might have a possible way to unload them." Rhodri makes a mental note to try talking to Quirin when he gets back from the dwarves' hold.

Now that's a dastardly claim :D Varas has two clerics with him, Jem seems to be semi-permanently trapped two weeks in the past, and Murdoch was scewered by his own teammate. But every time there's a cleric shortage, they blame the scruffy-looking hunter with a limp. Its not even Bertram's expedition this time, he has never been lucky enough to lead a group with a cleric.

March 25th
Noonish

Wendall walks into the tavern to find his comrades.

Well hello Master Dwarf! I see business is as good as ever?
Say, have you seen or heard from my brother Jem at all in the recent past? I realize that he is not much of a tavern person but I tried leaving him a note and he hasn't responded to it. I do hope he is doing ok.

My friends and I are all meeting here before heading to see the Duke. I would like to pick up the tab for drinks and lunch so, don't let any of the others buy their own.

He sets two gold coins on the bar to get things going and looks around the room for his friends.

One ale for starters please!

2gp deducted

Dorvar wanders in and sees Wendall. Hail, Wendall. Has anyone else shown up to go see the Duke yet?

He places his lunch order, and is rebuffed when trying to pay. Thank you, lad. Good way to go broke, you know, buying food and drinks for a dwarf. Good thing we have business with the Duke, so I'll have to limit myself to one. OK, fine. Three. But that's it for now. Dorvar smiles at Wendall and raises his mug towards his skull-bashed friend.

"Wendall's buying?" exclaims Varas. "I'll match the dwarf. Three ales for me too. I don't need to be that sober to hand a scroll to the duke" he laughs.

"Say, Wendall, when did you move on from milk to ale?"

Well, I've heard that booze is an acquired taste....... and I'm trying to acquire it.

So far I've only been able to have one at a time though.
Wendall laughs and snorts out loud.

Varas returns to the tavern, a sour look on his face. "Fleeced by my own companions. Ale and food are on all of you until Harrowing!"

The thief is excited for his horse that's to arrive onHarrowing. He's not going on any adventures until afterwards. He'll deduct 5 sp to cover expenses until then.

Valorei walks into the tavern, the elven sword now resting comfortably at his hip, he is reading a piece of parchment intently while humming some tune. He takes a moment to getting a view of the place, giving his previous companions a cheerful smile before walking up to the bar and getting the dwarfs attention, "I will need a room for myself that will last until this harrowing festival that I have been hearing about." He gives the dwarf the necessary amount of money 5sp? before heading up to his new room, coming down a bit later without his pack, the sword still resting at his side.

He pays for a drink 1cp and settles down at the bar, scribbling away at the parchment and then re-reading it.

March 17, 1 VC - 10:00am

The expedition led by the dwarf Ulf to find an ingredient to craft the cure for his fatal illness departed Vaul heading generally westward toward the swampland rumored to lie in that direction. Hopefully they are able to find what they seek quickly, before the horrific wasting disease brings the life of the dour yet clever dwarf to an early end.

April 1

Before departing on the journey with Rhodri and the new traveling companions, Numen returns to Zirina's table, setting down 20 gold. "The young one--Jord?" he says. "Have need of an additional guard for a journey. I was assured there was gold to be had--all needed were able hands to retrieve it. I will pay for a month's worth of his assistance. Acceptable terms?"

If they are, Numen will purchase some trail rations for the mercenary. If the terms aren't workable, Numen will negotiate accordingly.

Zirina says, "If all you want is him to guard your stuff, we can talk monthly pay rate. If you actually want him in the mix for fighting and exploring and getting that loot, he'll be entitled to a half-share. Are these acceptable conditions?"

The elf's eyes narrow at the young merc. "Yes," Numen says curtly. "I will purchase his rations. I'll be at the gates." With that he leaves to the town market.

Harold sidles up to the bar. "I think I'll actually try a wine this time. That guy over there will be paying for it," he says, tilting his head at The Wendall.

Ghrym laughs. "You all are a bunch of lightweights--you've overpaid by about three times what you've actually drunk." He slides a bottle of imported southern wine across the bar to Harold.

And Ghrym......don't say drunk when Varas is nearby, he gets insulted easily.

More snorting and some snot flying.

Valorei speaks to Ghrym but keeps his question open for any to answer as he glances across all who can hear, "So then, hear of any expeditions opening up headed east or north-east after this Harrowing; Or any strange occurrences, places of interest, or anything of the like rumored to be in that direction?"

After one more ale "with the boys" Wendall slaps his dented in forehead.

Oh my hic gosh! I totally forgot hic something!

Wendall exits the tavern stumbling and heads back to his room. He returns a short while later, sweating and a little out of breath.

His shiny new coat of chain mail is now proudly displayed, oddly enough, on the outside of his grungy, smelly robes. It seems that the awkward boy has never donned or even seen a set of armor before. This might seem hard to believe but, he actually looks more ridiculous than he did before.

Well hic? How do I hic look? He gives Harold a smile and a wink.
