Drez looks for a concealed position to help fight the flying foes. Taking up his crossbow loading it and reading to fire at something coming if from above.

Thomas takes his hammer and shield, a grin on his face, "The corrupt spawn come to us? Good! Let us purge their souls of the taint they currently contain." He will be near Halo and Chewy, his first course of action to be protecting Chewy.

Xano will also take a position of concealment. Ready her bow for the oncoming attack from above. Paladin you lets us know friend or foe upon there approach.

Trotter, halfling ranger

Trotter will blend into the foliage as he can. His bow ready with arrow nocked. He tries to make out the incoming in the distance.

Picture this...
You are traveling up the side of a huge mountain. The road that you are on is basically a rocky pass with a sheer cliff wall on your right side and an extreme drop off down the mountain on your left side. There is very little if any vegetation. There are some smaller boulders and rocks that have fallen from above laying around but, other than that the pass is pretty bare.

Chewy is at full health, as is the entire party.

Morgi flies back up as the figures approach. His eagle eyes can discern that the creatures are man size or slightly larger. They appear to be very dark in color but definitely not the creature you have seen in the picture. These beasts have large dark green wings and dark blue plumage around their head and neck. The most noticeable feature is their huge black antler like horns protruding from the tops of their heads.

They clearly see the party as they fly over and begin heading directly toward the pass you are on. As the party searches unsuccessfully for cover, you estimate that at the speed they are descending, they will be on you in approximately 2 rounds.

Morgi shys away. He looks to gain altitude and position himself so that he is behind the incomg group.

Xano- Is waiting on the Paladin to see if senses evil in the creatures attack . She readies herself to attack when gives the word. Monk does Chewy know what these are? Friend or Foe?

The monk will ready his crossbow. He turns to Chewy and asks, Do you recognize these creatures, Chewy? Are they friendly or should we attack as they get into range?

I can not say for sure. I don't believe I have ever seen such creatures before but, if they are what I think they are, they will surely attack us.

Perhaps we have some way to take them down magically without harming them, until we are sure they are a threat? If we can capture them we might be able to find out what's going on! says Halo, sheathing his sword and taking out his bow and some arrows, and preparing them to fire if he senses evil in the creatures as they close or they begin to fight.

Hail up there, friend or foe?

As he starts preparing a spell, he hears Halo addressing these flying antler creatures. He waits for the creature's response.

Trotter has arrow nocked and aimed at the closest flying creature. Tracking it he mutters, Give me a reason...

Thomas stands his ground, shield and mace in hand, He barks out loud enough for the creatures to hear him, "Come then! All twisted spawn of evil shall be purged through holy flame!"

[Dram]

Xano- Pulls back her bow. Ready to fire at the first sign of trouble. She takes aim the lead beast.

If you are friend or foe you best be telling us now!!

They appear to be flying directly at you in a rapid fashion. They appear to be about to attack you.

I forgot to mention that I will be making all the initiative rolls for my own ease of posting.

The party wins the first attack. When the beasts get about 60 feet away from you, Halo detects that they are very evil!

Make your attack rolls please if you choose to do so.

Thomas plants his feet, his shield held in front of him. He eyes full of wrath and judgement as he calls out, his rough voice echoing along the canyon mountain path they are on, "COME FACE ME DEMONS!" He will swing as soon as one of the wicked creatures is within his reach.
