Black Wolf nods from over near an open door leading into a dark hallway, "Black Wolf, with a strong sword arm! Look, at least, he ain't undead and appears to want to help us, so welcome to the party, and let's get on with exploring this hallway."

"It don't seem like it, we haven't even spent two hours in here by my thinking, but if it has been two days I say we get a move on before we're all too weak to lift a sword." says the brawny fighting man as he turns and peers at the darkness, "I'll lead the way, if all of you are only brave enough to follow."

Ulfgar

"Get moving then, I am right behind you."

Ulfgar follows Black Wolf in.

"Well met to you all, and you are right" - the elf nodded - "I will help as I can to get us out of here"

Naugrim remains near the front rank with Ulfgar, Willow brings up the rear with her bow.

OOC: The corridor is barely wide enough to walk two abreast, single file would be better in case you need to swing swords or maces, but that is up to you. What is your order of march as you go into the dark corridor? Below is a suggested order based on what I've gathered from your posts, but please correct it as you desire.

Black Wolf and Ulfgar at the front (side by side or one behind the other?)
Naugrim
Wendel (magical Light from candlestick)
Orrum
Fergus
Erlthal
Willow

Is there a torch also lit and who holds it?

I scrolled back. It looks like Ulfgar is the torchbearer. Naugrim provided the new torch about the same time as he cast Shield, so we should be on turn 2/10 for this torch. So... we now have two lights, Ulfgar at the front and Wendell with the enchanted candelabra at the back

Ulfgar

Ulfgar will go first, he is shorter and Black Wolf should be able to see over him at least. Maybe even fight over him depending on his weapon.

Ulfgar moves cautiously down the corridor lighting his way. Black Wolf and the rest of you follow. As you move forward you see that the walls of this corridor are fitted stone with wooden beams crossing them and holding what appears to be wooden boards about 8 feet high. The floor is smooth and, unlike the Nave and dais, dusty. It even smells musty and long unused. The only sound you hear is the shuffling of feet as your group moves forward.

A couple of strides into the corridor and you can spy where there is a dark opening about 30 feet ahead on the left side. Ulfgar and Black Wolf, at the front of the party, can barely make out a door another 30 feet further along on the right side.

Black Wolf says of the far door, "That is probably the door in the Alcove off the Nave I tired earlier. It wouldn't open. I guess it was locked."

Beyond this far door the corridor fades into darkness. You can't tell how far forward it continues to go, although you know from the layout of the building so far, it must end not much further ahead either at the front of the Temple or at the Ante-room you first entered. You didn't see a door or opening in either where this corridor ends when you came into the building.

Ulfgar

Ulfgar moves forward until he reaches the opening and looks down it.

Ulfgar peeks around the corner shining the light. He sees a fairly small room that appears empty of all life.

As the rest of you follow Ulfgar into this room you look around. There are a number of pegs on the wall. Some of the pegs have vestments hanging from them, others are empty. The vestments appear to be the sort that Priests and Acolytes would wear. Several benches are scattered around and there is a wardrobe against one wall.

You see there is another opening leading back parallel to the direction you just came. This opening leads to stone stairs going down and out of your sight back toward the north.

Ulfgar

Ulfgar will quietly move into the room and search it. Starting with the wardrobe and vestments.

Wendel moves over the other opening and holds the light up high to check there is nothing lurking down the stairs, but does not leave the room.

Fergus lets Ulfgar do his searching, and moves to guard the stairs with Wendel.

Willow follows Wendel's light to the stairs, suspiciously pointing her bow up and down as she also watches with a wary eye.

The vestments and priestly items are of more interest to Naugrim, who studies them with an expert gaze.

The elf did a quick survey of the room and exits, trying to ascertain if there has been any recent 'traffic', by looking for tracks.

The floor isn't dusty nor are the vestments. It looks like this room and the clothing here was recently used, or cleaned, but if time is different inside and out...something to think about...
