5 meters per square and the vent is on the left side of the map, 6 squares down. It is possible to equip a robot with a holo-emitter, but they don't do it because of the drain on the battery.

Okay, so based on the direction of travel and interval of the drips, we'd guess the robot entered the door on the square to the north? There are no vents around the section of the hallways?

Also, where there are vents, are they all open so anything that's a half meter wide could move through them?

The vents are all open at every level. The vents are all against the walls. From the pattern of travel, there are 6 probable doors, but more than likely, just two possibilities.

Okay, Daz will lead us to the most probable door. "Based on the trail, it's likely to have gone into one of the nearby doors," she explains to Rick. As we approach she'll call out over the chronocom, "Daz here. Traced the trail to the northwest section of the living quarters. Rick and I'll investigate room 208 first." Turning the Rick she adds, "Be ready. I have no idea if it'll be hostile, assuming it's even here." She'll knock on the door and announce, "Facility inspection." She'll wait just a second then attempt to open the door.

OOC: I clearly made up 208 so please substitute with whatever number makes sense . :D

OOC:I can't stand players who improvise! (Just kidding). You get no response from the room in question. It appears that there is a simple open button to each room with no apparent means of locking it. Opening the door, you peer inside. It is dark at first, then the interior lights come up. You see a room split in two. Each side has a bed, refresher cubicle, storage closet, but not much else. You see personal effects near the beds and pictures on the walls. On the ceiling is an air vent like the ones on the wall, but these are grated. There is nobody in the room at this time.

Rick will have the zap gun (electro stunner) in his right hand and his sword in his left in case he needs to use it. He will have his IR goggles on hoping that he will be able to see something with them that might be less visible to normal sight.

Daz will motion for Rick to sweep through the empty room. She'll follow with her pistol at the ready watching for any trace of the drips inside the room as well as hiding places that a robot the size of the ductwork could use.

Rick will sweep through the empty room. In a slightly paranoid manner, he will sweep empty spaces with his sword in case there is anything there not visible to the naked eye or to infravision.

Rick, Daz, you sweep the room and come up empty. There is no sign of the creature or even any drippings in this room. IR does show that the bunk on the left has recently been used as there is residual heat left on it. You think perhaps as little as 20 minutes ago. Other than that, nothing of real value.

T'prin, you and Lloyd are near the exit vent on the rec deck and you have a lot of curious by-standers watching you.

Daz replies, "Looks like this is not it. There's another door that would be the next logical place to check." She will return to the hallway and indicate the door to check next to Rick. We'll use the same approach to sweeping the next room.

Rick nods and follow Daz's lead. He will perform them same type of sweep in the next room.

Lloyd is never one to pass on help, “Did anyone of you hear Or see anything Unusual or otherwise in the rec area? Anywhere else?” Perhaps someone saw something, heard the passage of the bot or saw someone hanging around the vents.

Okay, Daz, when you knock on the next door, a human comes to the door, looks you over suspiciously. "Is there something I can help you with?"

T'prin and Lloyd, the people around you look at you strangely. "There are no bots in this lab. Are you feeling okay? You could be hallucinating!"

But no one ‘saw’ anything, right?

Not even people or anything suspicious?

I’ll sweep the area with IR and UV. [1d100] = 29

"Yes," replies Daz. "We're investigating a disturbance in the area. Has anyone or anything come through this part of the facility in the last 15 minutes? Have you heard any noises, even the faintest sound that might be out of the unusual?"

The man glances left and right, "No, I've not seen or heard anything, but you caught me trying to sleep. Is it just you two?"
Logic rolls for me, please.

Rick, standing to the side of Daz, peers into the man's room and looks for anything out of the ordinary (bed made when he said he was trying to sleep, blood or other liquids on the floor, etc.).

INT is 40 - Output: [1d100] = 92
