I think, as a rogue, Oskar can use a "bonus" disengage action, which lets him attack and then jump back out of the way, which was what I was thinking.
Riiiight. With his Cunning Action.
With four game, three of them newish, I'm still learning all the different characters. I wasn't factoring in that Oskar was a rogue. My bad.
drpete wrote:Also, can I knock the cultist I attacked unconscious, since we have a secondary mission to get a prisoner? I'm a little confused about who qualifies as a leader... I think we were supposed to get *a* leader, but not *the* leader. Maybe the human cultist would know something?
I think you did call for that. My bad, again.
I will edit to fix.

The result is ugly, but it's done... except for the map, which I don't want to mess with at work when I'm not at lunch.
Hopefully I remember to fix it for the next update.

Sadly, thanks to my company's generous parental leave policy, I just officially learned this morning that, starting next week, my manager will be out on paid paternal leave for roughly the next 2.5 months.
I'm going to be pulling double-duty at work until August, which I absolutely dread since my own clients keep my sufficiently busy, but my manager's client is a particularly difficult one. It's going to be making my life very stressful, and definitely cutting into the free time I was able to carve out during the day to work on game updates.
I will still be able to hop in quickly when I receive a notification that a forum or topic I subscribe to received an update, and will be able to provide short answers or replies to questions or requests, but my ability to post game action posts (with mapping, die rolling, tracking statistics, etc...) will be extremely cut back. Apologies!
I will still do my best to keep everyone moving along, as rapidly as I can, but it's probably realistic to expect updates to occur every 2-3 days instead of every 1-2 days.

Rex (rightfully) called for Strega to use her half-orc Relentless Endurance trait. I'm going to need to step through the events again after applying that, and Strega may still end up down, but certainly not with two death saves.
I will rework this weekend.

It took a fair amount of juggling things, but I just finished reworking the last round as a result of Rex having Strega use her Relentless Endurance feature, which drastically altered the situation.
Strega is alive with 1 hit point.
Bren ended up taking 5 points of damage (but still has 9 hit points).
I still plan to try and move you guys again later tonight.

I actually made a note before leaving for lunch to prepare to make the roll for Oskar (and modify the roll provided for Bren) later today/tonight, if needed.

Glad it's not necessary.[/ooc]

A draft for the next update in this one has been started, and saved.
I need to do some research/reading on how wild shape works (and make the necessary footer updates to reflect/accommodate this change) before finalizing.
Hopefully tonight, but I still have a lot on my plate so it might not be until tomorrow.

Sorry for throwing the wrinkle at you Dave, but it seemed her best option.

Oh, not at all. It's a great play, so absolutely use it!
It's just the first time I'm DM'ing a druid, and using wild shape, so I have a bit of learning to do.

I reviewed the rules over lunch today, and they're actually not too difficult to understand. It's a pretty powerful feature!
An answer won't hold the next update (which you should expect later today), but I did pose a question in your private forum. Just, when you're able, let me know.

Announcement
Going forward, I am going to request that everyone include an unmodified 1d20 roll with each of your updates. Something like: Roll, If Needed: [1d20]
This would be in addition to any rolls you would normally include.
If this included roll is needed, it will be used. If not, it will be ignored (the result will not carry over).
There are many times when, while compiling a list of everyone's actions, and factoring in what a monster/NPC would do, a roll would normally be called for. For instance, a Stealth check. I will sometimes:
- Make a roll myself;
- Publish the update but request the roll after the fact, then go back and edit to reflect the roll result; or
- Post the update but stop the action short, then specifically call for a roll(s).
It's not a huge deal if you forget, but it would be really helpful, especially in my current situation where I'm extremely pressed for time, to have these rolls to call upon.

I know that's now how it's supposed to be used, but I'll allow it. (And your "as needed" roll will remain an "as needed" roll so if you re-roll your Deception check, whatever that new result is will be what's used.)
Inspiration reroll added to the original post. *fingers crossed*

Due to some unforeseen family issues I'm going to have to take a hiatus from the six or so games I'm involved in.
Hope to be back soon.
