"It's quiet. A little too quiet." Her ears perk up and twitch as the noises from the other room cease.
"What do you think? Are we just waiting to see who jumps first?"
Sky thinks for a second, then answers her own question.
"The waiting is too much! I can't stand it anymore. I'm going around. Be right back."
Sky peeks around the door to the hallway, and creeps down to the south door.

Elky as he sneaks out the door so silently even his own party members barely notice his departure.

The dragonborn takes a moment to gather his thoughts before whispering his reply. They do not know we are aware of their ambush. We can use that to our advantage. Sky, could you sneak back behind them? We could open the door to focus their attention, expecting someone to exit this room. You could attack then, hopefully catching them by surprise, at which time we could press the attack from the other direction. Alternatively, I could twin a cantrip- Fire Bolt or Poison Spray- then charge out and try to take them both out with one spell. We could maybe even try throwing something through the doorway on the chance they may attack the first thing they see.

Sneak Attack
While the group waits for
Sky to return from his reconnaissance mission,
Kelben backs away from the unopened door, positioning himself in the far corner.
Hargrem, saying a quick prayer to Tymora, focuses intently, straining his ears, and listens for the slightest of sounds or movement coming from beyond the door. A slight shifting sound is heard from just beyond the door, but only for a fraction of an instant. Otherwise, after the blast from the exploding book, everything is eerily silent... until the door to the room, from the hallway, swings open a few moments later, and
Sky's head peeks back into the room.
"There are two goblins hiding to the left of the door, trying to ambush us." she whispers.
Klilxuac takes a moment to gather his thoughts after hearing
Sky's report.
"Sky, could you sneak back behind them?" he asks, which elicits an affirmative nod from the tabaxi.
"We could open the door to focus their attention, then you could hopefully catch them by surprise," the sorcerer adds.
"Right. So you all attack when you hear a commotion. Got it." Sky confirms, then pops her head back out and creeps down the hallway again.

A few moments later...
The door to this new room creaks slightly as
Sky returns and attempts to gain entry without drawing attention or suspicion. The tabaxi, peering more fully inside, realizes that her efforts have done exactly what she had hoped to avoid.

The sorcerer will move to the door. He will wait about half as long as Sky had been gone the first time, hoping the Tabaxi would have sufficient time to get into place. Readying Poison Spray in case he ends up seeing a goblin, he will twin it if he sees (and can cast on) both. He will then throw open the door, but not go through.

Round 1
Klilxuac moves to the door and waits, hoping to time the arrival of
Sky on the other end. Then, a few beats earlier than he anticipated, he hears what sounds like a something fall. Then some words being spoken in a tongue he recognizes, but does not understand -- goblin.
The sorcerer, spell readied, remains in place but throws open the doors.
What immediately captures his attention is a
goblin, with a bloodied blade, harassing
Sky; a small pool of blood is forming in the laboring tabaxi's coat of fur.

Beyond
Sky, the area becomes much rougher, as the collapsed southern wall opens into a vast cavern. Twigs and roots are piled on the floor of this sagging chamber and luminescent fungus on the rough walls and the high roof loom over a twilight grove of sickly briars, bushes, saplings, and other woody plants.
This rougher grove area continues beyond the range of his vision.

Okay, the above marks what happened before Klilxuac opened the door, or what was round 1. Scott, you're welcome to change your action (e.g. Poison Spray) for round 2, which is where you guys will enter the encounter.

Sky, and, after watching the goblin collapse to the ground while screaming in pain, he moves back behind the table, hoping to draw the other goblin in.
"Ow! You cut me!" Sky is heard crying, then she darts across the room with her rapier drawn. An instant later, another goblin is heard gasping, then collapsing.
Kelben and
Hargrem remain back in the study, weapons readied, waiting for anything other than Sky to enter through the newly opened door.

Sky comes back into view, dragging a body. "Let's move these guys so nobody sees them. Give me a hand, would you?"
