I'm horrible at statistics, but the chances of a break are slim.
A natural 1 only occurs 5% of the time. The percentage of a natural 1 (5%)
followed by a second miss has to be much lower. Even then, there's still a 50/50 chance the weapon will remain intact.
I just thought it'd be fun little rule (of course, I suppose it stops being fun once it actually happens to someone).

Delete it? I really don't see anything wrong with it.

This, you suspect,
might be possible. You are, at this time, undetected. There is not much cover beyond your current location so you at least suspect that maneuvering without being noticed will prove to be difficult.

I think we are well set for an ambush by our 2 colleagues if the main group is set upon. Cant think of any better tactics currently.

I'm hoping the big guy will just send in his minions to die before him. You know, like in the movies?
THEN he'll try to take us all on by himself...

? explain? I posted in game thread about knowing one of the badguys. But it was after this post... Was there some other reference to leader/crew I missed, or was this a pm you received?

This.
My
update in the main thread reveals that Gwillt and Shannigans did have some details earlier than the rest of the group, by virtue of their having approached them earlier. They, however, did
not know Ewell had any familiarity with the leader (and, come to think of it, technically still would not know this). I will update my most recent action thread to address this.

Ummm... it's humor.
Heroes stand, without a chance of winning if the evil mastermind has an ounce of strategery in his blood. Big bad guy instead decides to send his minions in to fight in small, unorganized forces. Heroes easily defeat these small groups of minions until there is only the big bad guy left. Then the heroes can all work together, combining their strengths to finally, ultimately, and unquestionably defeat the evil mastermind.
... or do they?

Lets see if we can solve this with diplomacy.
Then we can decapitate them.

I get the language/intent. I didnt understand where you were coming up with the details of big guy and minions, when I had not posted the results of my PM yet. Then dmw71 mentioned that you had received that info in a separate pm, so it made sense.

Ah, I see.
Yes, it was PM action.
Or... maybe I'm a psychic.

Dave,
Are those ranges in feet or yards? I don't want to assume one over the other.

Sorry, snipped that part (but have edited to include).
To answer your question, all ranges are expressed in yards (if feet are easier, I have no problem updating). I think in terms of feet, and will probably use that unit of measure in my descriptions, but the ranges are listed as yards in the rules. However, as you may have noticed from my most recent PM to you and Stonjuz, I will always attempt to provide both details. In the event I forget, it's a simple calculation where 1 yard equals 3 feet.

Psh. I can't be bothered with such menial tasks.
