Galen can use comfrey on Solaine and Torgyr now (at end of battle) if you want. Galen and Solaine can also use healing magic, if you want. The question is, how many resources do you want to use? Galen suggests just doing the Comfrey, unless we find a way for him to meditate for an hour.

Comfrey would probably be a good idea. I think we can take these guys if we go in prepared.

As the fire continues to burn, Galen applies Comfrey to Torgyr and Solaine

Torgyr recovers 2 hp, Solaine recovers 1 hp.

I went ahead, as it seemed to be 2-to-1 with 2 abstentions.

The fire seems to be burning less brightly, and will soon be out. Actions?

"Ready to get a hot foot leading us into the fray Ranulf?"

"I plan on running so fast my feet won't touch the floor," jests Ranulf in return.

Date: Euryale 12, 1:10 pm (Turn 25)
Season: Mid Fall
Moon phase: First Quarter
Light Sources: Randolpho (Lantern, 3 hrs, 20 minutes remaining), Galen (Lantern, 4 hrs, 0 minutes remaining)
Time since rest: 40 minutes (4 turns)
Location: Empty Room

Galen refills his lantern, and the group gets itself ready to run across the oil fire. Seeing a clear path, you run across... only to find that the door has been barred. The kobolds jeer at you from the other side. Torgyr understands them to be telling you to go away, or they'll "get ya good... They're the masters of this neighborhood". They're talking trash from behind the door, basically.

Torgyr calls the others into a sort of huddle. "Ideas?"

"Iron door anyone?"

I'm hoping it's just summertime.

Just summertime for me. Weekends are busy with outdoorsy stuff

"We can try to break this door down, though without some sort of battering ram it might be hard. Weren't there some other doors to teh south west that lead into the same caverns? We could go check them out. Or we can go try the magic knocker on that iron door, hopefully find a big haul of treasure, and then come back in through the dwarven door. that's would bring us in the back way to the kobolds." muses Ranulf. "I'm kind of partial to going to check out the doors to the southwest. My feeling is since we're already here in the mountain we should explore a bit. We can still hit the iron door on the way out later."

Quinn

"Let's do rooms 26 &29 on the map and then make our way to iron door 6 and then back to camp." he suggests, offering to scout the way ahead.

"Let's go with Ranulf's idea, and check the doors to the southwest"

So that's 2-to-1. Torgyr, Solaine?

Solaine says, "Since we're here, let's check out the doors to the southwest. We shouldn't put off the iron door too long though."

Torgyr keeps his voice low.

"Or...we could entice them out somehow. Perhaps if we make noise as if we are going to leave, then back up a room and wait quietly, they'll follow us out looking to pick us off and then we can take them out and push through?"

I wrote that before seeing what others were thinking. I'm easy going if majority swings to something.

Seems like sentiment is to go around to the southwest. I'll get that rolling...

Date: Euryale 12, 1:20 pm (Turn 26)
Season: Mid Fall
Moon phase: First Quarter
Light Sources: Randolpho (Lantern, 3 hrs, 10 minutes remaining), Galen (Lantern, 3 hrs, 50 minutes remaining)
Time since rest: 50 minutes (5 turns)
Location: Map Room (Room 36)

Frustrated with the kobold barricade, the group retreats back past the Mavors Statue in the intersection, and west over to the room with the large U shaped table. Heading south from there, they come to a 40 foot diameter round room. A door leads south, and a hallway leads east into darkness.

The walls of the room hold mosaics of scenes from the Thulian Empire. You see Dwimmermount, as well as various cities. The floor also has a mosaic, in this case a map of the surrounding area. The stones representing the cities and forts seem to have been pried out of the map, so though you can get the general idea, some of the details are difficult to decipher.
You recognize "A" as Dwimmermount, and "D" as Adamas, though it is labeled "Fort Adamant". This makes 8 the Aldleigh Forest, and the river passing by Adamas the Makrono River.

This makes "E" Yethlyreom, and "F" Yarm.... Based on a few other things you recognize...

A: Dwimmermount
B: ?
C: Ghaz Droonan (a now destroyed Dwarven City)
D: Adamas
E: Yethlyreom
F: Yarm
G: ?
H: Retep City?

1: Wintertop Mountains. There is a road here that goes between Muntberg and Winterberg (the little blue marks at the ends of the road)
2:Evensong Woods: A forest known to contain elves.
3: Makrono Marsh: a wetland home to many goblins. Fort Gloris is here at the river fork.
4: Hearthstone Mountains: Once a mountain range full of dwarves
5: Thunderhome Mountains: Giants?
6: The Starfall: A desert, the site of some horrible disaster. Strange things live here.
7: Shield Wall Mountains: A barrier cutting off the Starfall from the civilized lands. Fort Aster is the blue dot above the 7.
8: Ardleigh Forest: Worked for lumber by the local people.
9: Ogga Forest: A haven for bandits and thieves
10: Murklands: A vast swamp. There's a city marked on the map, but there is definitely no city there, now.
11: Ghost Peaks: Reputedly haunted, possibly because of its proximity to Yethylreom.
12: Forest of Ur?
13: The Demon's Claws/Caracava Badlands: dangerous territory. Inhabited by beastmen, or completely devoid of natural life, because of ancient magical catastrophe.
