Sparrow

I hate to be the one to bring this up but, did Kas have anything on him that would help us further our mission? I'm no spell wielder but, if he had magic that will help us or gold that we can use to purchase weapons and supplies, we should use that to our advantage, no? Did he have anything stashed in his room? He won't need possessions where he's going after all.

I wouldn't mind keeping one of his daggers as a memento of the little guy. Maybe the one that was stuck in Ciar's back?
He gives the halfling a smirk.

After the lady of the house agrees to let Sorsha assume occupancy of Kassal's old room, the group discovers the room key hidden safely hidden within a inside pouch of his robes. The gnomish illusionist left very little in way of possessions inside his room, but did leave 300 gold pieces and a spellbook stowed under the bed.

"That book wouldn't do me much good, but I won't say no to 60 gold coins," Ciar replies.

"And you can keep his bleedin' daggers, bird-man, just as long as you don't plan on tossing them at me. I don't want any part of 'em."

If everyone agrees to dividing 300 gp between the 5 party members, then I'll update Ciar's sheet with 60 gold. If nobody can use his spellbook, then we should sell it, as well.

Sparrow laughs.

No, I learned my lesson when I shot that poor man and his dog. I won't be tossin or firing into combat again, unless it's absolutely necessary of course.

60gp added to sheet. I'm cool with selling the book unless someone can use it.

Same here. Robbing the gnome's corpse Splitting Kassel's possessions is fine with me. Sylvan won't care about the spell book.

Fulp nods his agreement, and after everything is settled with Kassal, will exit for bit to look about some sort of ranged weaponry that even someone of his ineptitude could use.

While Sorsha settles into Kassal's room, the rest of the group divvy up the gnome's possessions; each of them agreeing on an even split of his wealth, resulting with the remaining members ending up with 60 pieces of gold each.

With the plan to set out first thing the following morning, Fulp and Sparrow decide to venture out into town during what time is left during the current day. Sorsha asks either if they'd welcome some company and will follow whichever, or both, if they travel together.

Lots of individual stuff in private forums which I will resolve either tonight or over the weekend. Feel free to continue to post publicly or privately as needed.

I'm thinking we'll use this weekend for stuff about town, and head back to the lair on Monday. Sound good?

Sorsha addresses Fulp and Sparrow as they head out.
"Mind if I tag along with one or both of ya?"
She checks her own belongings, making sure they are tight to her for a walk through town."Heard you talkin 'bout takin momentos of your poor gnome friend. Someone said he had small blades. I'm kinda a collector of daggers. Anything special about his? Writing inscribed on'em? Made of anything besides iron? Did he give them names? I don't have a right ta ask but I would like to take a peak...if this is the case. He was a wizard after all. "

Dang, can't see the image.
Sparrow produces the dagger that he took from Kas for the female to inspect.

You're both welcome to join me if it suits you. Like any good comrade and fighting companion, I've got no secrets to hide from my friends. I'm just going out for a stroll and maybe check out some of the local shops.

I would enjoy the company, actually.

"Wonderful!" exclaims the pale skinned redhead. She examines the blade and balances it in her hand.
"I'd love to see some of the merchants wares with you." She flips the daggger end over end a couple times, seemingly judging its center of gravity. She catches it mid-spin and examines the shaft and pummel. "So tell me about yourself." she says eyeing the keen side of the blade for chinks. "How'd you end up hunting rats and...did you call them Cobols?"

Sylvan will head out on his own, looking to scout for potential sites of animal friends...after he buys two more spears.

Grim settles into the tavern's taproom, 'resting' and chatting to whoever comes in to see if he can pickup any news or rumours.

They are called Kobolds. We have a different, less kind, name for them where I'm from. I think the rats are their pets or guard dogs or something. It's not exactly ideal fighting in them little holes of theirs either. If I were you, I would be prepared to get down and dirty when we return tomorrow. Extermination is nasty work.

Fulp apparently missed or ignored the conversation earlier, and went out on his own.
After returning to the group, he will pull out 8 small stones and hand 2 each to Grim, Slyvan, Sparrow and Ciar as they reappear.
I wanted to discreetly value them before handing over, to make sure we were getting equal shares. These I found on poor Kassal. It is only right that we share these amongst us. the jewelry man said they were worth just under 25 gold apiece. Oh, and here's 11 gold pieces each as well. I forgot about those in the chaos.

With that, he hands each of them 11 gold pieces.

Sparrow enters and speaks with the group.

Did we ever retrieve those chests of copper that we have stashed?

I found something at one of the shops that I would like to purchase but, I don't have enough gold on me.

Can we go get those chests? Or, would anyone be good with floating me a loan of 150 gold? I swear I'll pay you back.

11gp and 2 gems added to sheet.

"It might be more trouble than it's worth to get the copper, Sparrow. Each share included about 3700 coppers, which is really just a value of 37 gold. But hauling out 75lbs worth of copper coins is... well, it's a lot of work for not much return," Ciar replies. "But maybe we could make a few trips and haul it out after we take care of the kobolds."

"By the way... what's so important you need to borrow money to get, anyway?"

I found some magic armor that might not be around long. I was hoping to get it before we return to the fighting. Might save my ass the next time things get hairy out there again.

This town has a lot of goodies for sale that I've noticed. Most of them are way out of our price range though.

"And it almost fits him to." Sorsha chides. "Indeed, unless them kobolds have gold teeth, I can't imagine adding this towns enchantments to my inventory."
