Break room
I'm afraid you are correct. Even unable to see us, they still seem to know we are here and the longer we sit the more arrive. If we don't make our escape soon, we may never get the opportunity.

On November 2nd I will be participating in another 24 hour game of Dungeons & Dragons as part of Extra Life. This organization uses gaming to help raise money to donate to children's hospitals. Steve B. - Trucker
"I volunteer to run to Barb's car. I'm pretty sure I can hot wire it if the doors are open. If the driver door is locked, I'll "Luke-Duke-it" across the hood and check the passenger door before I just start running in the first open direction. If I have time, I may break the rear window out and get in that way.I don't know, I'm making this up now and I may be making it up as I go." Steve says nervously. "You open that door and I'm out".

Tucker - Nightwatchman
Tucker pulls his pistol out and loads a magazine. "I'm all in."

Re: The Diner
How are the windows in the bathroom and break room?
==============
Mentioned before, but easily missed.
The rest rooms and the break room/Mel's office have those small window/vents of tinted glass. They are small, a foot wide and maybe 6 inches high. From the restroom window vents you can see more creatures roaming about. All together you think about 20-30 are at the Diner and at least that many wandering around the place

Chance, at fire exit
"Tucker, you may want to save that gun as a last resort. The noise will be sure to attract the biters from the front." Chance looks to those assembled at the back, mop handle in one hand. "I'm going to open the door now and peek out. Everyone ready?"
Upon their assent, he pushes the door open six inches, staying far enough away from the aperture to avoid a lunging head/bite.

By the back door
I'll go with you to Barb's car to try to cover you while you do your thing, Steve. Derek grips his makeshift spear a little tighter as he realizes what he is about to do.

Steve pats Derek on the shoulder and seriously replies, "Thank you. Here, use this to keep them off you,....us. [hands Derek his large pot lid] I'll need a free hand anyway." Steve then prepares to bolt as Chance opens the door.
OOC: Scott,[Pacesetter Mechanics] a small shield will move your defense column over by 1[good thing], a large will do 2, I'm not sure how large the pot lid will qualify for but you should use it.

Tucker - Nightwatchman
"...Yeah... Good thought." Tucker holsters the pistol but does not synch the holster closed, leaving it open in case he needs the sidearm as a last result. Tucker looks around the kitchen for a meat cleaver or a cook's knife. He'll also look for a fire extinguisher.

Re: The Diner
Chance, at the fire exit
Quick question by the way. This isn't one of those fire exits that has an alarm, right? If so, Chance isn't dumb enough to open that one and will head to the other back door instead.
"Don't forget I have a car too, although it got beat up in the ambulance accident so I'm not sure it will start. If a few of you want to start up the waitress's car, it will give me more time to test out if mine starts. I don't want to be trapped in a busted car with no way out."

We already opened the fire exit and I don't recall any alarm sounding.AleBelly wrote:Quick question by the way. This isn't one of those fire exits that has an alarm, right? If so, Chance isn't dumb enough to open that one and will head to the other back door instead.

Chance will still prefer to take a peek first. If others are going to bust out immediately and run, he's backing the hell away from the door.

Re: The Diner
John breaks the base off a table , to use it as a huge shield/ram.
(its going to unwieldy, and hard to fit through the door)
Tucker finds a meat cleaver and a fire extinguisher.
Chance opens the door slightly and peeks out. He sees about a dozen creatures wandering around, but none close to the door. (over 10+ feet away) Only one seems to notice the door so far, the Barb zombie. She starts to shuffle over.....
( At this point, get your plan together in OOC chat or PM, and I'll get another map up, tonight or tomorrow. You figure out who's going, what they are using/bringing, etc.)

Whitey-Biker
Puts on his leather coat, hopefully it offer some protection. He throws his saddles bags over his shoulder. We need to move fast. When you guys take off in car. We will be right behind on bikes. Hopefully you guys will draw enough of them away. We have enough gas to make to the garage.
How many broom handle spears did we make?
