I have to update the map for my next post, so that will be done Sunday afternoon sometime. Time to get your thinking caps on for this one, but don't think for one second that you're safe. *Evil laughter.*

Re: OOC Chat
hmm I'm a wee confused as to what a dwarf would roll all my information indicates a percentage to find mostly just unsafe passages or new construction not traps.

Traps involving falling blocks or stones. Anything stone related, new stone constructions that aren't safe.

Something is wrong with my brain. When I read "palm-sized niches," I thought of this:

Is anyone gonna loot? It's a bit outta character for Sammy.
I still think we should clear the open parts before opening doors.

Re: OOC Chat
Trendt cares not for looting the dead after all anything he cannot use he has to give to tribute his god or the others anyways.

Re: OOC Chat
I'll have to at my own risk correct the DM on his recent update. Trendt does not dislike being around others he simply dislikes making the entire party walk around to check doors. It worked fine the last couple of times we split into two groups. I just find it a waste of time to make everyone tag along to go look at another door while everyone else is staring at their boots.

Re: OOC Chat
I'm just narrating a story here. First, Trendt wanted to go check out the north room. Everyone agreed to do that, then Trendt decided to throw some sort of fit and walk outside, so I tell the story from the party's point of view - Trendt wanted to go north, everyone decided to go north with him, Trendt gets mad for an unknown purpose and stalks outside, so it is apparent Trendt doesn't want to be with them? That's just how it would appear to be as the narrator of the story.
Not really sure what you want here.

Re: OOC Chat
I don't recall wanting to go north entirely as I had other things in mind than checking a secret door checking out the statues was one idea. Killing goblins was another as mentioned as well. like Sammy I hate leaving enemies at my back and there is the so far not seen but mentioned several times large spiders lurking somewhere here. I was not trying to insult or complain mr DM it was more of a joke as I understand you are narrating. I was more or less jokingly clearing the air that Trendt does not dis like people just perhaps time wasting?

Re: OOC Chat
About splitting the party, I warned you in the beginning that I tend to be heavy on the monsters, so it isn't wise to do. If I split the party I'd have to make two separate maps of the same cave. I'm not getting any other complaints. If someone wants to run off on their own to check something out, I'll map what they run into, but it's always wise to go back to the rest of the party shorty after. What I'm having here is Trendt and Sammy, the two strongest warriors, running away from the weaker ones of the group and it's extremely dangerous. I shouldn't have to have 3 NPCs in this game, but I do just to protect people who decide to run off on their own with some sort of suicide wish, while the weaker spell casters are left pretty much defenseless. It's crazy. For the sake of survival, the party really does need to stay close together. You can be doing other things. You don't have to be staring at your boots, but wandering off to a completely different part of the cave where you might not be able to see or hear what's going on isn't exactly smart.
If you want to go into the spiders' lairs, that's fine with me. At least you'd be close enough to the rest of the party if you, or anyone else gets into trouble. So pick a place you want to go because it sounded like you wanted to check out the room with the statues.

Re: OOC Chat
I do think we need to take care of the spiders but it does not appear too many are worried about something we suspect is here but have not yet run into. I was not nearly as concerned with a door. Well other than the one we have been told has goblins on the other side kinda surprised they have not yet broken through. Either way I am concerned about both enemies still remaining in the caves.
