Abrex using his light source looks into the pit and says, "It sounds like we are moving on. So be it. We can rest in a few more hours then. We need to find this acerak Mage and get what we need. Remember. We can't bring it back for payment if we are dead.

Abrex tells Ula,"We will be back in the forest soon. I hope. Be patient girl."

Mason crawls over the edge and simply drops into the bottom, avoiding the spikes.

OOC: I figure it's only a 4' drop

I figure that should have no worse chance of success than climbing walls. Roll a climb walls check please.

Seeing Mason about to just drop down into the pit; Xale lets out a belated; "Wait there Mason; we can just lower you wit a rope to the floor-"; but seeing as how the Monk has already gone over the edge the Dwarven Warrior-Priest simply closes his eyes and lets out a short prayer; "Look after him Dalt"....

Grognardsw wrote:"Nothing's ever easy here," grumbles Elsa the fighter. Resting her shield aside, she offers rope to Mason. "In case you need to get up quick."
Elsa rolls her eyes as the monk doesn't bother with proferred rope. "Yeah if you mess up a 4' drop it's time to go home," she laughs.

"Watch out for the spikes, Mason!" Eduardo calls down unhelpfully. He keeps an eye on the door beyond the pit, spear at the ready,

Mason easily drops to the bottom of the pit while avoiding the spikes. Once there, he looks around, but finds no means of egress other than climbing back out of it again.

Mason double checks for any indication of secret doors before climbing out and moving on. "Nothing down here it seems."

Mason climbs out of the pit. Another door awaits...

"Fun, fun, fun." Mason remarks before moving and checking it over for traps again, giving special attention to the frame and handle.

He tries the door knob...

Mason continues his careful exploration. He turns the knob and the door opens freely. Beyond the door is another 20’ long corridor ending in another door.

Mason pokes the floor ahead of him, but his prodding reveals no pit.

The rest of the party has yet to cross the pit beyond the first door.

Will Mason proceed to the next door?

Abrex ask mason,"Can you reset the pit trap in such a way that it won't collapse again? If not then can we clear the sharp objects and either jump it or move through it?"

"Mayhap Worren you could cast your Tenser's Floating Disc evocation, and easily carry each of us across?" says Elsa.
At 10th level Worren's disc can hold 1,000 lbs.

Eduardo quietly considers attempting to jump the pit, then thinks better of it. He doubts he'd make it with all his gear.
He perks up at the mention of riding a magic disk across and wonders what that would be like.

"If the magic disk seems unlikely, I do have a rope with a grapple, as you are aware. Perhaps Mason could affix it to that side and we could shimmy across one by one?

If it is just a ten ft drop i think we can manually drop and cross. Maybe just need to have some give a boost on the other side and we can haul them up after?
