Tarrin saw the worg heading down toward where he assumed the two elves were, saw people coming out of the tunnel, and figured that this was as good as it was going to get.
"Now," he said quite calmly, and let his illusion go. Then he just as calmly raised his long bow and shot two arrows at the closest ogre.
((ooc: First shot misses.
Second shot: [1d20+2] = 11+2 = 13, 14 with Bless.
Damage, if needed: [1d8] = 5))

Well done, Hoon! I'm gonna give you some good XP for the illusion...assuming you survive the battle.
Alright fellers, you got a surprise round - better use it to the fullest! Give me actions, and then go ahead and roll initiative and actions for the official round 1 - here we go!!
Initiative for wolves and Ogre and Scout when Round 1 begins: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4113853/

Here goes nothing...
Greystone lets out a slow steady breath as he raises his bow and lets an arrow fly at the worg...
To Hit, Shortbow [1d20+3] = 14+3 = 17 (Hits AC 2)
Damage, Flight Arrow [1d6] = 1
And then another...
To Hit, Shortbow [1d20+3] = 13+3 = 16 (Hits AC 3)
Damage, Flight Arrow [1d6] = 3
Initiative [1d10] = 10
(Bugger...)
Greystone snatches up his potion and downs half of it.
(Let me know if that is a full round action or not, HK)

Let's say since you only drank half of it, it took half a round, so you essentially have a half-round's worth of actions - what can you do? Surprise me!

Is this assuming he grows during that period? If so...
Greystone kicks the worg off the rock, aiming for the cave in the next hill side.
If he makes it, he'll raise his arms in the air and shout, "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAALLL!!!!"

((No. You're being too literal. It means you gain 5 effective levels (ie: THAC0), and 4d10+1 hit points. It means that if you're a wizard, you gain d10 hit points instead of d4. Don't be foolish.))

Alright, fixed it. Though Hedge said I could still have my con bonus for the levels temporarily gained, AND I'M NOT GIVING THEM BACK.

Battle of Malar's Fist - Surprise Round
Tarrin saw the worg heading down toward where he assumed the two elves were, saw people coming out of the tunnel, and figured that this was as good as it was going to get.
"Now," he said quite calmly, and let his illusion go. Then he just as calmly raised his long bow and shot two arrows at the closest ogre. The first arrow misses, but the second buries in the Ogre's ribs.
(5 pts)Shock registers on the Ogre's ugly face, as well as on the face of Scout.
"What the hell!"he snarls...and then he screams in pain as Cole buries a hand axe in his gut and a second in his shoulder!
(17 pts)
Blood spurts from Scout's mouth as his eyes turn feral and he reaches for the knife at his belt.
"Tell the Master!" he croaks to the wolf, which is about to turn and run back into the cave, but King Gundar, with a roar, cleaves it nearly in two with his battle axe! And then Scout's head rolls as Adain steps forward and delivers a decapitating chop to his neck!
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115185/
Blood sprays Nokrugh and Cole, but the Half-Orc pays it no mind - he's chugging down a vial of reddish liquid, akin to blood. Whooping and shouting for revenge, Finn and the barbarian brothers charge headlong into the cave, weapons raised, fearless and foolhardy.
On the side of the Fist, Darkstar and Greystone fire arrows at the descending worg. Darkstar's first shot misses, but his second shot finds its mark.
(2 pts) http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115176/
Greystone's first arrow cuts a bloody furrow on the worg's brow
(1 pt) and his second arrow sticks in the beast's shoulder
(3 pts).
Round One...
Initiative Order: Belkregos (3), Darkstar (3), Ogre (3), Tarrin (4), Worg (7), Nokrugh (8), Greystone (10)
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115230/ &
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115232/
King Gundar, not to be outdone by his kinsmen, roars a battle cry and charges into the cave, with Adain close on his heels. Nearby, Darkstar quickly draws two more arrows and fires them point blank into the chest of the worg!
(8 pts) http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115238/
Ignoring it's companion, the Ogre roars a challenge (which is answered by the Ogre over at the "finger" cave), and then leaps off the rock, attempting to impale Cole with its spear...but it lands awkwardly and misses!
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115243/
Cole wastes no time, swirling his hand axes, he chops the Ogre in the back, and then delivers the killing blow with a chop to the beast's face!
http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4115244/
Tarrin chants and sends two magic missiles into the worg, dropping the beast off the rock just as it is about to leap upon Darkstar.
(9pts) The worg is dead when it hits the ground, Darkstar stepping aside as it falls. He gives Tarrin a nod of thanks and moves toward the cave mouth.
Okay fellers > there are currently no more foes in front of the cave...thus, Nokrugh needs to save his attack rolls (if he wants) for an opponent. Greystone > is he still going to drink half of his potion?
Give me some actions - all of the barbarians have charged into the cave!
Ogre - dead
Worg - dead

OOC: Nope, as it does not appear necessary. Thank goodness for the poor initiative roll! It would be hard to go into the cave at that height!
Finding himself in no immediate danger, Greystone instead picks up his potion bottle and slips it back into his pack after tightening the cap. Assuming arrow retrieval can come later (assuming he's alive to do so, that is), Greystone follows the barbarians into the cave. Bow stowed, he draws his sword and enters.
Figuring worgs and ogres have heat-sight, like him, he doesn't bother hiding in the shadows, but cautiously follows the sounds of the callous.

Tarrin blinked. It was rare that plans went flawlessly, but this one certainly had. Now he just had to see if the rest of the battle would go to plan. "Watch that ogre," he snapped, pointing to the ogre by the finger. Then he looked at Tath. "Let's go take that lair for ourselves," he said, and advanced with Greystone into the cave.

Thank goodness for low initiative rolls!
Nokrugh will charge into the cave after the barbarians attacking on-site, the first enemy to come into view.

Arghhhh I am annoyed that the dice roller here wasn't loading for me this morning and as a result I missed out on posting my actions!
I would also like to point out that Darkstar fires 3 arrows per round since he is so badass!
Darkstar moves to the cave opening but is loath to enter. The idea of being confined in the enclosed space fills his stomach with butterflies. He takes his time watching for any unexpected surprises from the rear before slowly entering the cave.

I knew he did! I checked on your sheet TWICE but could find it listed, but should have known when he is specialized in bow!
(sigh) Well, at least he didn't get eaten by that worg. I rolled up the worg's attack and rolled a natural "20" - critical with double damage - it would have been nasty...and then I realized that Tarrin acted before the worg and killed it with some magic missiles. Kinda bummed me out...if you want to know the truth...

Praise to Tarrin for saving Darkstar from the evil DM's plans
