Chapter 1.2: A Marsh - Under the Tower (level 2)
Re: Chapter 1.2: A Marsh - Under the Tower (level 2)
Myrrh's healing touch staunches Brondulm's deadly wound and rouses him from death's door. (Brondulm can act in Round #2, if necessary.)Rex wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 3:00 pm Myrrh
Oops. Sorry about that.
CLW [1d6+1]=5+1=6
Much better roll at least.

Brondulm
Do I recover the full 6 HP from the spell and go back to 2HP or since I was in negative territory, do I just get back to 1HP and return to the living? So much for trying to avoid the pointy end of the daggers.

Brondulm is healed to almost perfect health. (Let's just give him 3, so he is fully healed to 5/5.)Darithe wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 4:01 pm Lia

Brondulm
Rising from the dead, sees that the two unguarded kobolds are running away and attempts to subdue for a second time the bigger to two (assuming he may be leader type).
Using the flat of his short sword he attempts to hit the fleeing kobold in the back of the head:
Short Sword to hit: [1d20+2]=11+2=13; damage [1d6+2]=2+2=4

I know we're doing Theatre of the Mind, but there are 6 dead kobolds, 4 PCs, a cooshee, and 3 NPCs between Brondulm and the fleeing kobolds....BaltoBruiser wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2024 9:29 pm Brondulm

This is one scenario where I pull a DM veto: Action will not work.
Maybe a ranged weapon?

“By Clangleddin’s bushy beard, Brinna!” Gromp lunged in front of Brinna to defend the lass, as he swung sword and dagger at the smaller of the two kobolds.

Myrrh rushes the nearest kobold and attacks with his sword.

That leaves a Big Kobold and a Small Kobold running down the tunnel. They are about 40' away from the western edge of melee.

Ellith
Surprised, the Elf declines to chase the kobolds - in his platemail, he would never be able to catch up to them, and he would not want to risk Faron chasing them on his own.
