Whatever we can sell from the hide, also claws and jaws/teeth might fetch a good price.

Re: The Oasis
Correct. The glow of the FF gives a -1 penalty to the armor of the recipient, so no need for players to figure anything into their rolls. I try to write such things into the update, but since they are usually already long, I refrain from spelling out every detail.Tamerlaine wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 7:01 pm I imagine the beast is glowing enough to give Kang a plus modifier to hit?
Also correct. As long as the monster is still engaged with others, he can slip away without incident.The_Wanderer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 7:10 pm I'm assuming since the croc is retreating that Cyril can also retreat in the opposite direction without some kind of consequence?
Total Freakshow
The Oasis
11:12am, Cloudy, Dry
Avoiding another tail whip, Cyril moves away from the action at the shore to look over his bruising and fresh contusions.
The others stab and slash at the massive animal until it completely stops moving, the bloody gore left behind enticing even more cheers from the onlooking slave caste.
The battle damage they caused to the once valuable hide is obvious, and it is about to get much, much worse. When the others mercifully stop their onslaught, the normally mild mannered Tuurma, now in a battle rage like you have never seen before, is just getting started. She stabs the monster again and again, eventually smashing her pale skinned face directly into a nasty wound where she actually bites an entire mouthful of raw flesh from the carcass. Swallowing it in one audible gulp, her blood splattered face contorts even further as the bloody juices squish out the sides of her chomping mouth. She raises her blade again and again, slashing at the dead monster redundantly over, and over, and over, and over again.
The slaves all stop cheering, their mouths now open wide as they stare from a distance. Her companions all stop and look upon the crazed insanity as well, not sure if there is anything they can do to stop it.
Actions?
By my count, she would attack 32 more times before her Rage wears off. I wont make you post all those rolls, (unless you want to) but needless to say, unless she is stopped somehow, there will be absolutely nothing left of this animals hide to sell or salvage. I hope the rest of you know what you're doing adventuring with this one.

Valkrina
Jumps off the carcass before she gets caught up in the whirling blades and savagery. Addressing the crowd,
"Behold, the Iron Worm is dead. Slaughtered at the hands of Xambaala's finest. Ladies, Gentlemen, Freeman and Indentured Slave, let me present to you, the raging bull, the barbarian of blades, the Slayer of Wryms, the Queen Croc of the Desert, 'Turmma the Terrifying and her noble aides".
She adds a few flourishes, no doubt that the barbarians rage will get some notoriety in town, so piggy-backs on that some acclamations. Perhaps it will get us suitable work?
She raises a round of applause and cheers.

Re: The Oasis
Akhilleus looks at the savage Amazon cometer astonished.
"We have to do something. Someone help me tie her with the net." He gets one extreme of the net and tries to get some of his companions in order to throw it at her and trap her and then pull her back away from the animal's carcass.
Strength Test (4:6) - [1d6]=4
Dexterity Test (3:6) - [1d6]=5
I roll those two in case one or either of them is needed.

Re: The Oasis
Just as Akhilleus is about to set his plan with the ropes in motion, or manages to catch her, Tuurma plants a final giant rock into the remains of the crocodile and tumbles over, panting heavily, and remains half seated on the ground beside the bloody carcass. She wipes her mouth and nose with the back of her hand, doing nothing to clear the blood and gore away from her face, since she is all covered in it from head to toe. It looks though like she finally regained her composure. She gets up and, with some difficulty, limps over to a nearby bush and blows her nose. Or throws up, unclear which one.
I figured it will take Akhilleus several rounds to gather the rope, set up the plan and get going, just enough for the rage to wear off. Or they manage to drag her away - OM please narrate as you wish. Sorry about the shiny croc skin boots guys.

Drest
"No way am I going anywhere near her."
Drest just watches from a distance.

I also assumed that it will take some time for Akhilleus to react after realizing what was going on and being perplexed for a few seconds before deciding to do something. But I leave it to the DM.

Cyril
"I agree, Drest. Perhaps we need to come up with a plan in the future to restrain her after a battle. For now though, it is beautiful and terrible to watch."
He takes a seat on the sand some distance away, rubs his wounds and watches the barbarian wear herself out.

Kang
Taken aback by Tuurma’s raw display of ferocity and unbridled rage, the monk wonders at the nature of such an affliction. Clearly thinking of everyone’s safety, including Tuurma’s, Kang jumps in to help Akhilleus.

Re: The Oasis
A Serious Threat Mess
The Oasis
11:15am, Cloudy, Dry
Valkrina tries to play ringleader to the gathering slaves who stare at her incessant shouting as if she must have hurt herself. None of them really understand her, and there is certainly no thought of applause or cheers of any kind. If anything, she would surmise that the current actions of the raging Tuurma has likely terrified the slaves instead of impressing them.
As the carcass of the large animal is literally shredded by the relentless hacking from Tuurma's blade, Xenos, Drest, and Cyril decide it will be best to lose the hide instead of their heads. However, Akhilleus and Kang believe they better do something to stop her. The fighter tosses a hunk of the ripped net, hoping it might at least slow her down, but his toss misses her completely. She continues screaming and hacking, ignoring the man completely. However, when Kang follows that up by throwing another hunk of net at Tuurma, the torn ropes graze across her back ineffectively, and this time she takes notice of the attempted attack.
With an audible gasp from the distant onlookers and her friends alike, the blood soaked Berserker sneers and slowly turns her attention away from the destroyed animal on the ground to charge towards her new companions instead. She raises her sword and absentmindedly attacks Kang, blindly focusing the final few seconds of her uncontrollable rage in the direction of the suddenly surprised monk.
Actions?
Unless someone has an idea how to stop this, I will take the final three attack rolls from Tuurma with any damage that hits to be inflicted upon Kang. I did try to warn you about this.

Of course.
He could try to tackle her outright, if he wants to.
All I need is a d20 attack roll.
