Turnip is not ready to let the stubborn dwarf win this one just yet.

"Okay. Okay. May I tag along with you. Pretty, pretty please with honey on top?"

Arngeir

"You talk lots. Get on well with Idril." he laughs and gestures to the sindarin.

"Hmmm, you talk good, clever." his smile fades slightly and he shakes his head "No family is bad, for...Ljarl."

Turnip glances sideways, the she grins again

"No, of course not, why would I ever do that?"

She puts her palms togehter, causing a smacking sound.

"So. Which direction are you heading? I can keep lookout. I'm very attentive."

After they been walking for a few minuts

"Actually, I'm something of a locksmith myself, of sorts. If you'd believe."

Idril Nagfly moves froward from farther back in the caravan and catches most of the conversation with the newcomer. Her scowl deepens when Turnip mentions the key. She whips her head around to see if any of the other caravaners would have overheard. "I know this much—despite her claims, the girl is not as un-presupposing as her name. She can spy out secrets, and..." cutting her eyes hard to Turnip, "...is not discrete about shouting them out in the open air."

Snapping her fingers with impatience, she says, "Let us see this bag. I will tell you if it is Sindarin-make."

For Idril:
The bag is not Sindarin made, most likely Earthmaster. The Earthmasters are what everyone refers to the race that was on Harn before the Sindarin came. No one knows what they look like, but they left behind some very powerful psychic items. This radiates as a psychic item, very powerful (Sensitivity).

Algrim perks up a bit at the locksmith mention from Turnip "That makes two of us then."

Idril hefts the bag. "This is old. Deeply old. Before even the Sindarin." She stares hard at Turnip. "Where did you find such a thing? Is it stolen? Is its owner trailing you?"

Turnip snatches her bag back (with some nimbleness) and enters a female staredown with the Sindarin.

"Well yes, now that you mention it, I snuck into your camp last night and stole it from under your soft elven cushion, along with all your coin."

She settles down somewhat.

"Like I said, I had a vision. Does the Spirit of the Mist never grant you visions elf? If not, you must be in severe disfavour."

Idril almost laughs at the pillow comment, but she catches herself and her smile turns cold and flinty. "It is a lordly gift, Dame Turnip Spryfinger."

Failures for both of you. :(

Sax comes up, "We need to get moving if we are going to make Meldun before nightfall. Maybe you could figure out whatever it is then?"

Algrim nods his agreement and takes his spot back with the guards helping guard the caravan.

Turnip, seemingly content with the outcome of the argument - for now at least - takes place at the back of the caravan, among the rear guards. Pickning some dirt from under her nails with the tip of a dagger, as they travel.

Idril returns to the cook wagon, annoyed that, with the ample quantities of meat Algrim has brought in, that she can't begrudge making an extra portion of dinner for the newcomer. She settles in and begins to shell some wild peas she foraged in the morning, letting the rocking of the wagon set the pace of her shelling. Her mind wanders back to the bag. So ancient! And yet, not a fragile artifact to be preserved in a reliquary. Up to the harsh conditions of travel, in the hands of a mere girl.Despite herself, Idril is intrigued and wants to know more about the girl's history. At least as it pertains to the bag.

The caravan pushes hard for the rest of the day, arriving at Meldun just after sunset. They have a field marked off for caravans to set up for the night with plenty of room. Another small caravan appears to be set up there already, looking to head north in the morning.

Sax talks to you, "This is the end of the trail. Everyone is welcome to stay the night, but we split in the morning. I thank you all for the aid along the trail, you saved my guardsmens life and made the journey safer and more comfortable."

Arngeir nods at Algrim's words "Yes, stay tonight. Decide where we go next." he pauses, thinking, then grins "Need apple, red only, help gaurd heal quick. Maybe we find here?"
