Urlando holds the orange shoes up to examine them. He sniffs them carefully with one head while observing with the other.

Silvestri finds an indicator to determine how many uses the device has remaining. Beginning usage die 1d6

Anton descends into the bowels of the structure to examine the bright green, grotesque mask.
The geometric artwork, made from artificial bone, is relatively light weight and designed to fit over an adult human’s face. The gaudy bright yellow lips and eyebrows contrast against the green face.

.
Urlando inspects the pair of orange shoes shaped like marine animal fins. The seamless footwear, made from artificial cartilage, are tough yet flexible.

Anton raises the sun visor on his helmet and holds the mask near his own 'face', peering through the eye holes. "Curious, indeed". He inspects it closely to determine if it is purely ornamental or has some hidden functions, looking closely for buttons or switches but careful not to toggle any, if present. "I'm not sure my suit can accomodate such an accessory..." he ponders out loud to no one in particular.

Kurot wakes from his latest impromptu sleep mode. "Really must check into that," he mutters to himself.
"I can read old Onglish," he tells Silvestri—then realizes that Silvestri was able to figure out the rope-securing device on his own. "Quite handy, that," he agrees.
He looks around for any artifacts that aren't already being investigated.

Anton raises and inspects the mysterious mask. He scours for any apparent functions beyond a decorative curio.

Kurot exits sleep mode when he hears of Old Ongish script. When he finally decends into the depths, Silvestri has already gleaned the functions of the object. The android stands and scans about for any additional artifacts.

Urlando
Urlando will find a spot in the sand against the wall, close his four eyes, and rest. He drops the orange fish fins in the sand next to him.

Gam’A Zone, Motter’s Realm 353-356D/81
Satisfied that you thoroughly scoured the underground chamber for artifacts and hidden doors, you settled in for the night and took turns up top on watch duty. Besides the occasional flashes of light in the sky and distant horizon, the evening passed uneventful.
Resuming your westerly course, you trekked for three and a half days across the desolate rolling terrain, encountering small animals and a mysterious solitary cloud that remained in one spot for an entire day. Attempts to survey the vapor patch were unproductive due to its height and distance. The aerial phenomenon was gone the next morning.

At first you dismissed the noise as the wind, but the continued sounds of disturbance and battle are hard to dismiss. Your line of sight is blocked by a series of shallow hills, but the source of the sounds can’t be more than a mile away to the northwest!

Finally, something of interest in this waste, says Denslow. He shambles northwest towards the sounds.

Don't get too close to whatever is making it, advises Max who also heads that direction. Maybe pause on those hills and get a good look. Sit and wait for them to finish killing each other and loot the remains.

The diminutive mutant nods at Max's words
"He's right, let's get a better view from those hills before rushing into danger."

Podo
Podo agrees and begins to move towards the hills as well keeping an eye to the sky to look for signs of smoke from a possible campfire or pyre and to see if there are any carrion birds in the sky above the direction of the sounds.

Kurot moves toward the hills with the others. Assuming they reach the ridge, he’ll use the spyglass to get a better look at whatever the noise is coming from.

"I never knew so many things were going on down here when I was up there. What are they up to?"
Anton finds a comfortable vantage point and takes in the action.

Urlando
Let's get down low when we get up on top of that hill.. we don't want whatever that is to see us watching them.

Gam’A Zone, Motter’s Realm 356D/81 (Afternoon)
The break in the monotonous trek energizes your drive forward towards the sounds. With curiosity and apprehension, your group cautiously negotiates the terrain to find a vantage point that won’t produce glaring silhouettes against the sky.
Prone on the crest of the low ridge, you observe a battle in the barren plain between the hills. 500 yards beyond, a trio of smoking Sentivocs are assaulting some figures dressed in red.

Those with spyglasses can discern that the smart metal constructs are attacking a pair of bipedal humanoids protected by crimson desert cloaks and wrappings. One of the beings is on its knees, apparently injured, while the other fends off the aggressive bots with explosive bolo weapons. These weapons would seem to indicate that the defenders are Barnakal Nomads, mysterious wanderers of the wasteland.
Two Herdivocs lie destroyed nearby, evidently neutralized by the defiant wanderers!

Podo
Seeing humanoids in trouble from these mechanical constructs reminds Podo of what happened to Urlando's tribe and he wonders if these robots are trying to take them to one of Motter's towers for some kind of life-sucking bonding ritual. Regardless of their reasoning he immediately begins to charge down the hill to assist the red robed beings.
I will shoot my fungal plant pellets when in range and try to take a path down the hill so as to avoid giving notice of our location for any of my companions who wishes to remain hidden.

Silvestri
"We should assist them, besides, they may be able to direct us to the knights."
The psion starts to make his way down the hills until he gets close enough to be able to use the blaster pistol effectively
I realise the pistol effectively has an 'infinite' range, but I'm guessing that you need to be close enough to visually aim.

The diminutive mutant doesn't say a word, but follows the others, using the terrain for cover as best he can.

Urlando will also try the sneaky approach, staying low and using rocks for cover as he advances down the hill. He will try to approach from a different direction from Podo.
