Nym will cover the others well they continue to check out the water, having had enough of the fountains for now.

Some lanterns you can fill when lit.

Takes a hot water filled wineskin. If it stays hot he can at least cuddle it in his bedroll at night.

"Okay. Where to next?"
doppelganger wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 2:13 am Weezel
Having a rare spark of intelligence, Weezel thinks to fill his waterskin with the hot water from the twin legionnaires' font. He drinks the normal water he came with, dumps out what he can't drink, and then carefully dips the empty waterskin into the font to fill it up.

Rooney crowbars some of the crystal deposits away from the muscleman font. The statue image suggests either getting a creepy itching feeling or the water holds some resistance to bug paralysis type poison effects.

"It would be no surprise to find those big leafy greens are some jungle carnivore type, saw-fronds waiting to snare the unwary." he says suggesting a few test arrows into the stalks might prove so or otherwise.
You all collect the waters and salts without issue.

I don't mind firing a couple of arrows of into the leafy plants to see if it provokes any response from an angry shrub or a hiding creature.
The arrows hit the leaves, wall and floor with no reaction from either of them.

Right ho. I will collect back the shafts as they would not have gone far. Poking ahead just to make sure the carnivorous plant is not faking it.

Do the plants cover up any revelation? The mud pit and the stones thrown in, anything moving about in those places.

If the fonts are all done with, I am fine with hunting the orcs again.

Takes a fancy goblet for his mess tins and returns back to the bronze door on the side of the passage.

Finethorn
Having seen the party finally decide to move out of the fountains room, Finethorn can cease to be worried that Ingwe might leap into a fountain out of thirst. Adras seems to have been relatively useful in keeping himself out of the way during this interlude - It's dangerous enough for bearers without partaking of dubious beverages!

Orc Slaying sounds good

Harlan
Really? You don't want to see what the rest of these fountains are for? You just want to halfway investigate? He snorts, then dips up a swallow of the water from the unicorn fountain.

Weezel
Weezel grabs another of the goblets off the floor and approaches the statue of the muscleman. He will cautiously fill the goblet with water from the font while watching what happens to Harlan at the unicorn font. I'm for findin' out what these here waters do, before we leave this place.

"Agreed, we should find out." She will take a goblet and try drinking some of the water from the fountain the green slime attacked her from.

You encounter nothing that moves, only plants.

It is surprisingly heavy for it's size, about 5 pounds.

You get a mouthful of refreshing springwater. No effects, ill or otherwise.

The salty tasting water is a bit unpleasant, but you experience no ill effects from it.

It lukewarm water tastes sulphurous but is otherwise harmless.

Wow, what a thirsty bunch. Lucky too! :D

Is it just my goblet that is heavy or do they all feel that way?

The rogue buffs it up, cleaning the grime from it and visually checking it out. Satisfied with a minor trophy, he will watch the others partake of the strange waters.

Harlan
Harlan drinks deeply, getting his fill of spring water. He shakes the water out of his drinking vessel, then drops it into his pack.

Weezel
His curiosity overcoming his general cowardice, Weezel drinks another sip from the goblet he drew from the musclemen-adorned basin. He will continue to drain the goblet sip by sip if there are no ill effects.

Yes, they are all of similar weight.

Like many things in this locale, they are made of bronze.

Nothing immediately obvious is noticeable, other than the salty taste.

That's a total of 3 drinking vessels, right?

There is only one way out that leads to a single room with no way out...which I have been stood watching. Has he passed me?

I'm sure he has, but this is just my way of handling ybn's temporary hiatus from gaming due to real life events.
