Re: Marduk
Having finished with Runa, Remington is a little lost as to what the triage protocol is now. Clearly crew come before captives, but after that Remington doesn't have the foggiest idea how to prioritize. Lacking any sense for Oghman slave economics, he has no clue who takes priority as a good investment of resources. So, like any good academic, he defaults to trying to avoid putting his foot in his mouth, or in this case wasting resources on lost cause slaves. Seeing Kar arrive, Remington takes this as a sign, and mosies over to ask about captive triage protocol.
Re: Marduk
On receipt of the "stock list" from Áshildr Raven comms her back and saying "I need Eshargamelat at the warehouses to identify the goods. Can you bring her or send her with one of the warriors?"

Re: Marduk
Ragnheiðr moves quickly down the steps and across the storage area, passing beneath the iron frame arch supporting the central section of the gallery as Raven reaches the door at the foot of the stairs.
Looking over the door Raven sees it is painted metal set in a painted metal frame. There is a keyhole under the handle.
Something catches her eye to the side and resolves itself as a slightly raised circle, about chest height, in the frame above the lock. The colour is off, a little more yellow than the paint. Paper? About the size of a 12 gauge....
Ragnheiðr reaches the double doors and finds there is a metal bar across them. Lifting the bar from it's frame and dropping it reveals the lock. She picks up the bar, hefts it, and uses it as a ram to break the lock, bursting the doors open.
Her satisfied announcement Open! is followed by a metallic click, whooshing sound and a brief, shocked, scream as a metal plate swings down from the underside of the gallery, smashing into Ragnheiðr's back and flinging her out of the building into the street where she lands heavily and lies still. Two metal poles drop into place and the plate seals the doorway behind her.
Looking up Raven sees there is something that might well be another plate on the wall above her door too.

Re: Marduk
Raven steps back from "her" door and again keys her comm, her voice as cold as the Oghman tundra "Áshildr bring this Eshargamelat yourself and also the militia prisoners - in case I need to be convince her of my argument. Perhaps you should tell her that I am "emotional"?" Raven Sorrow's lips slowly curl back into a smile more suited to a deep ocean predator as she continues "So that I do not have to be persuasive you might be able to argue the case in my stead - if you have the tongue for it. I sense the gods are watching here so also bring forth my Shaman and let it be known that I do not believe that the mundane logic of locks can stand against Many Name's insanity".
She switches channels and calls the APC "Ingunn, Ragnheiðr is down outside the warehouse. Return and bear her back to the Serpent for treatment and bring back Rúna - a Raid Leader should not be without her bodyguard".

Re: Marduk
Leon and Roberta follow Ragnheiðr into the building and start looking over the workbenches as the Raiders go to clear the lower area.
When Ragnheiðr is thrown out of the building the Doomsayer doesn't need Raven's orders, it is already in motion. Bjartr saw her fly through the air and told Ingunn, who dropped the vehicle to ground level while rotating to face south. As Raven speaks Hrafn and Bjartr are leaping out to recover the fallen warrior while Sverrir keeps watch.
Ingunn replies to Raven: We are taking her aboard now Lady.
As soon as Ragnheiðr is laid on the deck of the Doomsayer Ingunn lifts off and flies along the docks, around the burning Town Hall and straight to the stern of the Serpent. as she goes Ingunn calls the ship: Returning with a casualty, priority treatment. Filthy cowards left a trap...she realises she's broken protocol and controls her temper: Raid Leader orders Rúna to take her place, prompt

Booby traps! Leon muses as he watches Ragnheior fly through the air. Don't touch anything Roberta, be vigilant He watches as the warrior is taken aboard the Doomsayer, she is breathing, there is hope.
Leon calls to Raven Me and Roberta are yours to command raid leader Leon will take his steps carefully, look twice touch once.

Kar looks to Remmington Find Runa, go to the Raid Leader, take a toolkit. So far you have performed well, do not allow this change.
Ashildr, see that the casualty is brought to me with haste.
Handson you will assist.

Re: Marduk
Remington nods to Kar "Of course Captain. I aim to please."
As he leaves the triage station, Remington makes sure to bring a batch of medical supplies and diagnostic tools with him. Since nobody mentioned what this little excursion was for, he figures he may as well assume someone else has been shot. One jaunt to engineering and the hold and Remington has collected a toolkit and Runa. Before he makes the second stop, Remington also managed to vent most of his feelings about sending an academic into what is, as far as he's concerned, still an active warzone. But, as he learns from his mistakes, this time Remington made sure the comm bead was off before he started ranting. As they climb aboard the APC Remington radios out to Raven:
"I'm boarding the APC with Runa now Raid Leader. Just to let you know, Runa currently only has one good arm. In a real pinch she has one good arm and one technically functional arm, but I don't think her shoulder blade will stand up to any heavy lifting after deflecting a bullet. Of course, you're the boss out there, so you can have her do what you like. Just thought you should know in advance."

Hearing Ridley bellowing over the the comms, Kar can't stifle a snort of mirth at his ability to sleep through most things.
The raid progresses well under Ravens' watchful eye, we have had casualties, but still a good haul. Seems we caught them napping.
I've just dispatched your slave Many-names to assist in the field, you have my leave to go along if you wish. Might be a demo job, so take your kit.
Sotto Voce Not all of it

When Ragnheiðr is brought to Kar he will assess the damage and, with Handsons help, treat appropriately.

Re: Marduk
The APC arrives at the ship and finds Áshildr waiting with some of the prisoners. She details two of them to lift Ragnheiðr on to a stretcher and take her to the Mead Hall then steps aboard the APC with Eshargamelat, the two militiamen, Remington and Rúna in company. Rúna looks proud and holds herself upright, but with her arm in a sling and a distinct limp she looks worse than the unconscious but unwounded Ragnheiðr.
Ridley arrives shortly after, with a bag over his shoulder, and hops aboard, taking his seat next to Bjartr near the rear door. Hrafn closes the hatch and Ingunn lifts off, flying back on the same route, passing Sigmundr’s team heading for the ship with their trolley. The door opens again to show the empty window frame leading into the workshop.
Ragnheiðr regains consciouness as Kar and Handson carefully remove her armour. She is dazed, but stoically bearing pain. The armour has saved her from serious injury but she is still badly bruised both from the metal plate striking her from behind and landing on the stone dock. A quick assessment reveals that the main force of the plate caught her shoulders and buttocks, her head receiving a secondary blow, and then landed on her right knee, which is swollen and stiff. No bones are broken, remarkably - presumably being unconscious when she landed helped. Treatment is simple, anti-inflammatories and analgesics, support and compression for the knee.
Edited to add the militia.

Kar smiles at Rags stoicism. As he realises there is nothing too serious to worry about, he chuckles.
Bet this hurts, still, you have done your raid leader proud. I will tell her of how well you took injury and pain. Rest now, let the meds work. there will be much and more to do later.
Leaving Handson to finish with Rags.
Kar heads back to the ramp to look over the list Ash compiled and check loot stowage and slave concerns.

Re: Marduk
Steinn is the only Oghmite in the hold when Kar arrives. He is sitting on a packing case at the top of the ramp with his ACC on his lap sharing a piece of jerky with Sniffer. When Kar appears he quickly stands.
Everything is well, Skeppare. They are just happy we are not eating them, I think. he grins and nods over at the small crowd around the entrance to the Low Berth room: Eno is gentling them. I don't know what she says, but it works.
He becomes serious: Commander, I saw Ragnheiðr carried in. Can I ask, what happened and how is she?

Re: Marduk
Through the demolished window Raven beckons all within "Welcome all, to my hall of traps!"
She simply nods at Rúna and hands her new bodyguard her "Hel faced" helmet. She addresses Eshargamelat in Imperial "Eshargamelat, worker for the trader Zinat, I am Raven Sorrow, Raid Leader. I caused what happened to the place where you live. However, I have held back - you well know of places that have fared worse. Here none have been unwantonly slain, none despoiled and the buildings still stand. Your soldiers barely gave us a fight and our hold fills with goods and these treasures of the sea people".
Raven continues "I will either make two bargains with you or continue to take what you failed to defend. The first is for your knowledge of this lockfast place and its traps. For that we can trade the freedom of some of your townsfolk - lest they try every door before an Oghman. The second is for your knowledge and service in the valuation and sale of this treasure - for that I will trade the continuation of your now defenceless town. For, if I now call more raiders here, they will scour it to the very foundations in their greed and perhaps even beyond if they choose to dig the townsfolk from their caves".

Re: Marduk
Kar is pleased with how things are going in the hold.
Do not be concerned Steinn. Ragnheior is strong and her injuries are not serious. I have treated her and ordered her to rest a while. Though she seemed none too pleased by that.He becomes serious: Commander, I saw Ragnheiðr carried in. Can I ask, what happened and how is she?
Re: Marduk
Kar tells Steinn. This is an old raider trick, for when you're stretched a bit thin. Cover me.
Selecting several of the unwanted captives one at a time, Kar takes them down the ramp and first ties them up and then together, just a few metres to the side and in front of the ramp. Walking back up to Steinn.
Quietly. Human shield, Oghman style. They may as well be of some use.
