gramble thinks of every curse word he has ever heard and arranges them in a string to utter once he can talk

Lerrick

Let's take shelter in the cabin. I'd rather face the ghouls again than be tormented by the onslaught of vicious bug attacks. Someone help me with Gramble. Andron, how did you carry him on your back! The cleric waits for someone to assist her in lifting the large fighter to his feet. It is easy now to see the expression of anger on Gramble's face. Easy now Gramble

Andronichishche

Andronichishche shuffles outside and assists Lerrick with the grouchy Gramble. He casts her a sideways glance and flashes a subtle grin. "As my back can attest, it certainly wasn't easy." Once everyone is safely inside, Andron pulls out beds from the wall for the fighters and then closes the cabin door, securing it with the latch. "The water bearers travel in the early morning and I don't think they have need to fetch more today, so we should be good to rest here until tomorrow."

He pulls out a bed for himself and slips off his pack to ease his aching muscles. While Gramble opines with a litany of curses and profanity, Andron retrieves Withering Venom from his pack. He waits patiently until the diatribe ceases, flinching after a couple particularly colorful words, and shows the sprinkler to Gramble. "I have some news to report about your venom sprinkler. I tried to use it against a ghoul, but it had no effect. However, it is as I suspected, a powerful defoliator." He pauses and clarifies by saying, "It kills plants. Withers them instantly."

"Now, I can use your pearl to try and learn more about the device, or you can save it for something else. Your choice."

Maag

Maag gets stiffly to his feet and stretches. "Arrrgh....dat feels a lot better." He touches the side of his neck where the ghoul had gnawed on him. " Wotever dat fing was, I don't fancy seein' 'im up close like dat again". Maag turns to Tlachtga and winks. "Cheers! Yer got me out of a tight spot der. I owe yer one. Maybe I'll give a tree an 'ug on der way 'ome".

"Talkin' of goin' 'ome, wot's wiv all der talk of spendin' der night in 'ere?" Maag points out of the window. "It's still der mornin'. Der sun 'as 'ardly come up. Wot der yer want to stay in 'ere all day for?" He looks over at Alordan. "You are der expert. Is der a chance we can find anyfink else to catch out 'ere now? I mean, I reckon we want to stay away from der river, but can yer find der tracks?"

Then he catches sight of Lerrick trying to lift a red-faced Gramble. "Put 'im down Lerrick. Yer don't know where 'e's bin. 'onestly, yer will knack yerself tryin' get 'im up. Look at der state of 'im, 'e's about to bust 'is lungs tryin' not to laugh "

am I missing something? are we no longer paralyzed?

When gramble is finally free he lets out a string of curse words 5 minutes long, all the while angrily stomping around the cabin clenching his axe tight.

Tlachtga

Tlachtga will try and rest. Casting CLW on self first.

"Your welcome Maag."

Sorry. That might have been a bit vague I guess, or maybe Lerrick was just trying to be nice and help Gramble inside anyway.

But Q is correct, the Status Tags are usually a good way to keep track of such things.

Maag is correct on the time of day, it isn't even noon yet. So since there appears to be some indecision on resting, I will let this RP conversation play out before I update again.

We should be able to easily make it back to town before nightfall if we left now. If we get into another 'situation' while hunting some more ... maybe not.

I am fine heading back and taking our chances but will go with mob rule.

As it's Maag's rodeo, Andron will likely defer to him.

Well, Maag really wants to bring something nice back to town, so he'd much prefer to at least investigate any chance of catching something

I am OK with that. I would use Locate animals to help but the range is to short to be of any real use. Outside for me the range is 40 yards and lasts 2 minutes.

Yeah, I noticed that with Wes. That spell seems to be only any good if you are practically on top of the animal. Ironically, it looks more suitable to be used in a dungeon, where there might only be a limited number of places the animal could be hiding. (Unless I'm missing something. I've never played a druid before.) But it might still be useful if we get to a point where we suspect there's something nearby.
Maag

"Der is still plenty of daylight left," Maag points out. "Let's at least 'ave a butcher's for sumfin to eat. 'ow about we give it until about noon, an' see what turns up?" He fixes the group with a mournful expression. "Wot about all der starvin' children? 'ow will be be able to look dem in der eye? Wot sort of 'eroes are we?"

Andronichishche

Upon hearing Gramble launch into another round of profanity, Andronichishche decides to save any decision about the sprinkler for later. He stows the device into his pack on the bed and turns about to catch Maag's miserable attempt at playing on their heart strings. Regardless, he did have a good point. "We may not find much in this over hunted area, but the sun has yet to zenith, so I see no harm in searching a while longer." Almost as an unconsciousness rebuttal to his reply, he furtively looks out the window again for anything unusual. "Let's just make sure to keep a fair distance from the river bank."

Alordan agrees. "We should continue the hunt, indeed. The townsfolk aren't safe from this threat. If we can kill them from a distance - that helps us. If we get paralyzed it seems to wear off. If we can get them riled up, maybe we can attack them from in here.."

Lerrick

The cleric frowns at the thought of eating a jungle beaver that has been tainted by a nasty ghoul. I hope there are other beavers nearby that we can hunt. We can save that one for Maag. He'll eat anything. She laughs at her own joke, then smiles and winks at the fighter-thief.
