B S (VIII)
Re: B S (VIII)
That's one of the big advantages of PbP. We have time to react in character, and figure out the best way to phrase our replies.

Raiders of the Lost Oblisk people... I have gotten this look a lot of times in this game, not the least of which was the temple scene...
But seriously... right now...

Yeah...it's definitely FUBAR right now.
But I can say in all honesty, having been on previous adventures with this crack team of adventurers, that we definitely have it in us to make things much, much worse.

I'm sure one of you will eventually come up with the "bellows factor" for this mission.
Right?

Oh, man, with my 6hp dwarf, throwing 1-4 dmg bolts, I don't know what can I do

Re: B S (VIII)
Your six hit point Dwarf can take a huge responsibility off Avaala if you'll just sit tight and take care of Luther. Then he can rescue his familiar and then he can help the others with rescuing Chauncey.
(At least that's how its playing out in my head.)

Don't worry, that's exactly what he would do

Don't forget, Luther has bravely donated blood to create a large slick spot for the Scalies to slip and fall in.

Sorry for the feet dragging everyone. I have been dealing with a bit of a cold or something (at least I hope it’s only a cold
) the last couple days and my brain is a bit mushy at the moment.
I will try to keep pecking away at posts when I can build up the mental fortitude. (i.e. not dozing off in my chair like an old man wrapped up in a Star Wars Snuggie.)

My Covid test came back negative, just in case anyone was worried.
Now it looks like we have a couple of other consistent players down, so I will continue trying to be patient and say again that I hope everyone is safe and well during these trying times!!!

Re: B S (VIII)
What's going on here. Half the cast was lost in combat?

Re: B S (VIII)
Well, so far, this is no worse than the Temple or the Spider Maze. But it has the potential to be worse than either. Between the losses we have already suffered and the 'hostages' (Chauncey, Cealwyn, Treasure, etc) we have about zero room for additional errors.
Oh, and I'm glad to hear about the negative test result, OM!!

Re: B S (VIII)
I agree. (It also shows we haven't learned anything after our two previous screw-ups!
)
If Bonnie can hang on for a round or two, Wes should be able to more than even up that battle. Which means we get Cealwyn back.
The problem is Chauncey. There's a lot of slizards down there with him. And they're about to get loose.

I've got the feeling that both my characters are gonna be each part of a wonderful TPK experience in the following days

Re: B S (VIII)
Ever get the feeling like the slizards were hustling us? There were descriptions of them being unsure and awkwardly holding primitive weapons, then bam! They kick some serious butt.
OM is getting craftier with his traps, I fear. Sending the boar out early so we use spells and time on it, only to follow it with the real baddie. All the while keeping the more than capable slizards in reserve after we have been lulled into a false sense of security. Diabolical.
Kudos, sir. We will have to step up our game.
