Re: OOC
Well I have my excuse then! Once I'm done grading for the night I'll write up a Remington Rant, which certainly won't be full of all the frustration I can't put in comments on student's papers.

Ahhhh, so that's what the "horn with a diagonal line through it" rune means! The Bindoner wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 7:15 pm Absolutely. You can't put a drinking horn down on a console, you need the voice-pipe oening ( into which it does not snuggly fit ).
It's plastered all over the electric stufff!

I'm waiting overnight to allow coastguarder a chance to post, then I'll put up a Jump Week post and start a new thread.

Re: OOC
Somehow I feel like Remington isn't taking enough advantage oh his status as resident crazy drive shaman to terrify and confuse the youth aboard this vessel. Once he stops hiding from Ridley's retribution I'll have to fix that.

Have at it!
While I've posted a "This Week in Jumpspace" newsletter there's no reason not to add colour.
Theoretically Ridley is about to post, and I will hold off opening a new thread to give him a chance.

I don't want to rush it. I was thinking that spending all week hiding in the drive room would already make Remington stand out as slightly off-kilter to the normally socializing crew. The fact that it's more self-preservation than deliberate weirdness is just a fringe benefit. Plus it gives me time to cook up something really good.

Re: OOC

Unfortunately Ingrid is just as absent, with Gris close behind...
At least Remington has the distinction of being at his post, on duty, nearly all the time. That's pretty odd.

I am still having problems with dice roller so have asked admin to sort out. Leon is happy just sparing and getting rest (along with doing his shifts).
Mind you he may be interested in seeing if Ridley flinches during his tattooing ....might even be worth a bet?

Well done getting the roller rolling. Tricky blighter, everyone struggles with it.
I've posted some Jump Week items to private threads, and we might as well ink up Ridley while we're here. Then: Next stop Marduk.

Re: OOC
Oh Gods... you want to ink Remington as well, on the forehead! Couldn't you be nice and choose a buttock instead? The scene will of course depict the serpent leading the fleet into jump with Raven silhouetted standing on the outer hull ..... Remingtons tattoo will be a symbol of the jump drive ....... it will be like ridleys performed in front of the war band and shall be put on his forehead ...

I might remind Ridley that Vigdis cautioned him to "be careful how you discipline my slave."

Re: OOC
Way to steal my thunder Bindoner. That was going to be my first point. Not that I'm an expert on Oghman slave law, but I would think that right now Remington is nominally under Kar's authority, but in the same sense as the ship itself. That is, it's a loan, and if it doesn't come back in at least as good a condition as when it was loaned there'd best be a very good reason for damages.

Once I'm out classes I'll lodge the same complaints IC.
Re: OOC
Remington could have some M drives tattooed on his arse!
Alas, before the "Inkfest" gets out of hand it may (thankfully???) be limited by the skills of the "Ink Mistress"(?) herself. Raven isn't a proper tattooist but could copy a design - hence fishing about on board for one! No doubt to Remington's great relief she can't really do "creative".
I think (as above) Remington's best defence is he's not "issue" but on loan from Vigdis and so must be handed back "intact in all areas".
