Kainaxarthos
"Good idea! Help me with this bed, we'll prop it up as a barricade." He asks Taibhse and others free to help.
By my count, Kain has killed three helpless snakemen, are there one or two left?
If more than one victim is left, he will whittle it down to one before he starts moving furniture.

Cyril says, "Allow me, Kain...you get moving on that furniture." He then caves in the skull of the remaining sleeping snakeman with his staff.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Not sure what happened to Magda.....
Under The Zakath Desert
Back To Xambaala?
Still No Idea On Time Or Day
Sik misses badly on his first swing, allowing the Snake-man an avenue of attack. It quickly lashes out towards the Barbarian, biting him on one muscular arm, sinking fangs in deep. 3 dam and Save vs. Death, please Feeling the poison surge through his veins, the slowed fighter takes a second swing at the threat, killing it instantly.
Akhilleus shouts out orders from his position near the doorway, suddenly spotting movement along the floor just past the grasping bones. Initially looking like bones themselves, he spots 2 femur sized snakes slithering towards him and the others nearby. While they trade off weapons, the snakes maintain their distance before spitting streams of venom towards them, one stream hitting Drest in the chest that splashes up towards his face. I'll need a Save vs. Death, please
The three Snake-men beyond the bones remain where they are, one of them murmuring and gesticulating with his arms. Suddenly, streaks of tiny lightning bolts shoot from his fingers that fly down the hall to hit Sik squarely in his massive chest, burning him slightly. 5 dam
Cyril kills the last sleeping monster on the other side of the room, much to the chagrin of the others who wanted to keep one alive to be interrogated. Mentioning the idea of barricading the door behind them, they turn to see a few more Snake-men headed up the hallway towards the room. Fortunately, Taibhse is able to slam the door on them just before they are able to enter, buying those at the rear of the room a few more seconds of time to react.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Akhilleus keeps shouting orders.
"Keep adding some beds to that barricade. Make it hard for those snake men to come in but watch out, they may start a fire!"
From the map, it appears the snakes are reachable on hand to hand combat, if so, Akhilleus attacks one of them.
Broad sword (one-handed) - To hit: [1d20+3]=18+3=21; Dmg: [1d8+4]=2+4=6
Please, OM, let me know if they're eligible for Heroic Fighting and I'll roll a second and third attack.
----
If they're not reachable on hand to hand combat, he says to Drest and Xenos: "Throw a volley at those snakes and take cover at the sides of the doorway. Let them come, that they can't hit us from a distance!" He will remain in his position though, watching how Sik is faring in case he needs help. "Sik, come back here!"

Death Saving Throw (16) [1d20+2]=17+2=19
After slaying the snakeman, Sik retreats carefully back into the room, taunting the Snakemen in the hallway as he goes. "Come at me, you pathetic worms!"
I assume that if I'm carefully navigating back through the bones, I'll have to forego an attack this round - do I need to make another avoidance saving throw?

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Correct on the slow movement and no attack. No need for the second Save though.
The snakes are 1HD, so go ahead with the extra Heroic Fighting attacks.

Re: Return To The Ruins (Warlords Palace)
Drest
Death save (15) [1d20]=15
Drest moves to kill the nearest snake/snake man.
Short Sword +4 vs Rep [1d20+4]=19+4=23 to hit [1d6+5]=1+5=6 damage

Xenos
Xenos throws a javelin at the spell-casting snake-man then retreats around the corner.
Javelin: to-hit [1d20+2]=19+2=21; dmg [1d4+2]=4+2=6

Magda
Showing her unusual strength again, the young witch helps toss a bed against the closed door before retreating back to the center of the room.
"If more come through that door, I'll sing them a lullaby too."

Kainaxarthos
Kain helps shove more beds against the door. "Does anyone have spikes?" He keeps barricading, moving the bodies onto the beds to add weight.

Inside the room, beds are dragged and piled against the closed wooden door in hopes of keeping the pesky Snake-men at bay on the opposite side. Oddly, there is no sign of commotion or pounding coming from beyond the door as more and more obstacles are piled in front of it.
Akhilleus and Drest use their swords to make short work of the spitting snakes slinking across the floor, and none of the targets hit by their venom suffers any further effect from the poison.
Sik tries to taunt the enemy that remains on the other side of the bones, hoping to lure them forward, but they are smart enough not to fall for such trickery. He moves into the room reaching for his iron spikes.
Despite the fact that he can't actually see them, with no line-of-sight on the enemy, Xenos tries a trick-shot, throwing a javelin towards the sound of spell casting by skipping it off one wall. Though he has no way of knowing this, his missile only nearly misses the threat by inches, harmlessly ricocheting off the other wall. (I thought there was a Called Shot action in this system, but I couldn't find it in the book, so I considered this Full Cover)
Suddenly, the area where Drest, Xenos, and Akhilleus are is suddenly thrust into complete darkness, likely at the behest of the chanting Snake-man at the end of the hallway. His voice continues to chant and conjure from beyond the thick black nothingness in front of them.

"Fall back."
Drest calls on the swords magical light in an attempt to at least counter some of the magical darkness.
