Alordan will keep a watch while others investigate. He'll let the smaller group in the main room know and ask them to move to the tunnel area so the group can stay together.

Carucenus stays put, with an ear towards the tunnel they went into, in case he catches something weird that might happen to those who went there or, even luckily, some part of the conversation. "We should try to get some out of this damned cave before we leave. We'll have time to come back, bring Cresty out of here and plunder the rest of it. After killing that monster I take there's no further danger... right?" he asks to his nearby companions.

Alordan smirks, "no danger? on these islands?" He looks back and the group searching then back again at the new comers, "first, if you leave the cave there is probably a minotaur waiting for you. We've met several. If you make it past that, there are some trees we have found that aren't the friendliest - and they move. Other than that, there is a boat with some friends waiting to take us back to town. We'll all leave together."

Gruesome Revelations
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Late Morning, Dank, Damp, Depressing

Maag, Gramble, Tlachtga, and Lerrick enter the huge chamber and begin searching through the mess that is scattered all across the floor.

Alordan asks the others to move closer so the group can stay together. He lets Carucenus and Mina in on all the fun they still may need to face once they leave this place, causing Mina a bit more grief. "I think we should leave right now, Cary. But if there are more hardships to face, we better wait for these nice people who saved us." Saracen reluctantly agrees, dragging the prone form of Andron behind him by one leg. "You worried about the statue too? Or can I leave that....I mean him, there for now?" The half-orc seems upset about something, but he decides not to share just yet.

Cu seems most excited by the area with the bloody, gut strewn floor a little deeper into the room. Tlachtga has all she can do to keep him from running over there for a quick snack. A grand total of 3 shiny cooper pieces are found in the first minute of searching. That, and a lot of destroyed furniture and other refuse. Not exactly what one might call a treasure hoard, but not bad for starters either.

Tlachtga

Tlachtga will keep searching but avoid the bloody mess area so Cu is easier to keep focused.

Andronichishche was suddenly aware of something tugging ... no, pulling ... on his leg. Rather persistently. It was rather annoying. He would rather be asleep. Another hard pull forced his eyes open. He was sitting in a chair, behind a utilitarian looking but solid wooden desk. A stack of blank parchment neatly arranged on one side, a bottle of ink and a feather quill sat opposite. This was not a cave. There was no portcullis, and a quick check proved he was completely uninjured. Where was he? Yank!

Another fierce pull at his leg. He glances down to see a remarkably large house cat, its teeth firmly affixed to one of his boots. It also had wings. The cat, not the boot. The cat paused its attack on his foot upon seeing that Andron was awake. Releasing its grip, the unusual feline meows rather loudly then casually takes flight on its wings and gently glides through the air to settle atop Professor Quinby's podium at the head of the classroom.

He was back in the temple of Rao? The analytical part of his brain took over now, attempting to extrapolate the possible reasons how this could be ... then he glimpsed the cat again. It was leisurely grooming itself on the podium as if this was entirely normal. Yet, this was not normal. There were never any cats in the temple, animals of any kind for that matter ... and the wings? His gaze strayed beyond the cat to the large blackboard hung upon the wall behind it. It was quite black. Unusually black. The anomaly! Was he dead? Dreaming? He had heard stories of dreams where the dreamer was conscious, aware and sensile, yet still asleep. Perhaps like the near death experience this was another side effect of staring into the anomaly. His thoughts. His consciousness. They felt slightly disassociated from his body, free to move across the contours of his brain. The sensation was a bit disconcerting, but he could already begin to envision new possibilities, new magic from this experience, and the call to his curiosity was acute.

The cat was gone now from the podium. Whether it was still in his dream or disappeared back into the ether of his imagination, he wasn't entirely sure. He was, however, quite aware of the unique opportunity that had presented itself to him. With no gauge as to how much time he had available in this dream state, he quickly rises and makes his way over to the large blackboard. A brief thought later and a piece of white chalk appears in his hand. Nodding in satisfaction, he begins writing arcane formulae on the dark slate ...

Alordan asks what type of creature the guts may have come from. Maybe there is a clue as to the size of the thing?

Does Lerrick have the glass tube and container with the liquid? If not, who has it?

Lerrick

After searching the room for a while with the others and no reward the cleric moves back to the others. I vote we leave here, regain our strength, then come back. Who's with me? Saracen, if we face a minotaur out side perhaps we can use Brutus's head as a weapon. I believe the eyes may still have the ability to petrify.

Maag

"We 'ave only bin searchin' for a couple of minutes", Maag points out. "No wonder we 'ave not found anyfin yet".

"If der is a minotaur outside, 'e will still be der in a couple of hours. An der will be annuver one der tomorrow if we come back. If we find sumfin now, we are done. Wiv minotaurs, movin' trees, boat rides, der lot. If we come back, we gotta run der gauntlet three times instead of once".

He sweeps his arm around the room. "An' it could still be just a pile of junk when we come back".

Lerrick

The cleric listens to Maag's reasons to stay. Fair enough. Perhaps we can have more people search while only one or two stand guard at the entrance. Come'n everyone...join the fun!

Carucenus doesn't want to leave the rear unattended so he stays put. He shouts to the others, but minding that something might not hear him in that big cave other than his companions. "I'll stand guard here!" he turns to Mina. "Mina, go join them if you feel strong enough. Maybe finding something useful will light your heart... a bit. I'll give you a shout if anything moves... But, if you want to stay, please get behind me. He says this pointing to the north tunnel, as he's facing the gruesome chamber where Cresty and Sister Theresa met their ends.

Gruesome Revelations
Freeday, 19th of Goodmonth
Late Morning, Dank, Damp, Depressing

The search continues in the massive chamber of clutter, providing even more weight for the group to carry out. 7 more copper coins and 2 silver coins are found while kicking around in the mess for the next three minutes. The pile is so extensive, it quickly becomes obvious that this will take hours to search through completely. Maag tries to talk the others into staying until the search is complete, even though their former leader and their fearless protector are both still incapacitated.

Saracen enters the room, currently carrying the lit head in the sack, the glass tube of pink powder, and the tiny box with the inscription on it. He answers Lerrick gruffly. "How do you know the severed head will still turn something to stone? Did you try it? Will you attempt to look into its dead eyes yourself? Or should I do that too?"

Alordan calls in asking about the identity of the bloody mess. When Maag has a closer look in that area, he sees what might be the remains of a dead minotaur, believe it or not. Mina enters the room too, but keeps her distance from the grumbling half-orc. She helps the strangers search, not for gold or other riches, but for a book or a journal, anything that might hold a written clue they could follow. Her lack of greed is instantly rewarded when the first thing she picks up is a note scribbled onto a torn out page from some old book or something. The short note is written in common and only one sentence long, but the woman points it out to the group all the same. "Hey this might be important. It says..... and once the ring is placed into the bulls nose, the treasure room will be revealed. I dont know about you guys, but that sounds kinda important to me."

Alordan nods appreciatively at what Mina has found - but grows quickly frustrated, "More riddles. Of course. What ring? what minotaur? Was there a minotaur on that dais thing that would make sense?" He grumbles to himself.

The cleric looks the warrior priest in the eye. It's just a hunch. I believe the same is true with the medusa if it were to open its eyes. Just have it ready in case we need it. The cleric thinks for a moment. Speaking of the medusa, why don't we chop it to pieces so that it can't ever be revived.
