Quinn will wait outside the door for the flames to die down. Do we rush them or pick them off one by one? Those tower shields would come in handy now.

Round One

While some members of the party conceal themselves behind the wall, Ranulf, Solaine and Torgyr shoot through the fire, hoping to take out the kobold resistance.

On the first volley, Torgyr takes down an opponent 1 damage) but the coordinated volley from the other side tags both Solaine (3 damage) and Torgyr (3 damage) despite the latter's position under partial cover.

Torgyr wheels around the door frame, putting himself out of sight of the kobolds in the other room. He clasps a hand to his wound and grimaces.

"Nailed me good, the pricks. Keep the pressure on! Once the smoke clears we'll take their measure. Let me know when they enter the room proper."

Torgyr prepares an oil flask to throw if the kobolds do enter the next room once the flames die down.

You can definitely do this. As the others discovered in round 1, it exposes you to a fair amount of return fire (though the kobolds did get lucky).

Technically, Torgyr needs to win initiative to get out of the line of fire before the next round. For the situation here, cover matters (though it didn't help Torgyr because of a lucky shot). The more you think "shootout" here, the better, if you want to engage while the fire is going.

If the fire is like others made with military oil, it'll burn for "a while" (a turn). You could keep the door cracked in a way that would let you monitor it, but nobody could fire in or out.

Torgyr will probably want to coordinate with someone if he wants to toss the oil and get the door shut before the next kobold volley. He can light/toss the oil, but not also shut the door on his turn. This would work best with two "fast" characters working together (if you can both beat the kobold initiative).

Torgyr and Randolpho execute their plan, with cover from Solaine and Ranulf.

Solaine is able to get off a pair of deadly shots, taking out two of the kobolds, but she takes a hit in the leg in return (4 damage). Ranulf misses his shot. Several kobold arrows bounce off his armor, and one thinks into the door near Torgyr's face.

Torgyr throws his flask, but it lands short of its goal, splashing harmlessly into the main fire. Randolpho gets the door closed, and the group is safe from the snipers... for now.
