If Milo is done being afraid, he works his way back to the others. If he isn't, he keeps being afraid, I guess. :)

"Lets leave, regroup and re-assess. Perhaps we need stronger magics and faith to deal with this thing."

I will attempt to cover the rear if/as we retreat as a group.

The effects of the Fear pass one you reach the entrance room. You are free to make your way back if you so choose.

Grigg

Grigg stops his shaking and quivering and cautiously makes his way down the corridor to retrieve his sword. He will stop at the entrance to the room and look inside, peering round the corner. How is the shadow ghost thing forming and what is it doing now?"Perhaps a bit of our own conjuring or divine blessings will cause this unholy thing to finally rest?"Grigg asks of Peaches and Simoni.

Milo rushes back to join the others, slowing to casual-seeming saunter just before he comes within sight of the room.

"Entrance is still clear," he says. "Just thought I'd, uh, check that out. Yeah."

The hobbit peers around the door frame into the room to see if the apparition is still there.

As you peer back in the crypt, you find the apparition has disappeared. The crypt is back to containing only the slab, the skeleton on the slab, and the stone tablet on the floor next to the slab.

Grigg

"Someone else want to go check out the tablet and skeleton and pick up my sword?"

Pyrrhic thinks for a moment and adjusts his helmet.
"The beast hasn't followed us into the hall, so perhaps it's a clever ruse. Those of the tricky arts, what do you think?"

Milo gives Grigg an odd look. "S'pose we're all volunteering to lead from the rear, huh? Still, we can't all just stand around in the hall." He steps gingerly into the room and begins searching it.

Where do you start searching and what is the path you intend to take?

If you need that level of detail, can I get a map of the room? I don't know how to describe a path otherwise.

And come to think of it, Milo will proceed slowly, checking the floor for panels and the like as he goes. :)

The room is 20' x 20'. The black rectangle at the top of the room is the slab on which the skeleton rests. The "X" to the left of the slab is the stone tablet.

Milo will start with the slab, checking for traps on the floor as he goes. If he safely makes it to the slab, he'll decide what to do when he can see it better.

Grigg

When the apparition appeared there was first a cool wind blowing from the room corners. So Grigg will retrieve his sword and check the sw and se corners for signs of traps, wind pipes, etc

Milo slips back into the crypt with Grigg in tow. Milo tests the floor for traps, creating what he considers a safe path as he finds nothing that would serve to set off a trap of any sort. Once near the slab, Grigg grabs his sword and turns to check the corners of the room when a chill wind seems to emanate from the four corners of the crypt. The breeze seems directed to the center of the crypt where it joins together into a mini-duster, swirling and blowing dust outward. It quickly manifests into the image of a human warrior, long in the tooth but quite fit except for the gashing wound in it's side.

Save vs. spell (10) [1d20+1] = 1+1 = 2

"See you all in a bit," says Milo, replaying his previous scene.

Pyrrhic shakes his head as Milo comes back in a hurry.
"Were there any exists in there? Or can we just leave scary-tooth-face there and come back later with some Holy Water?"

Simoni says, "Maybe he's just lonely." He waves to the apparition. "Hello....uh...nice place you have here."

The apparition seems to take no notice of Simoni.

Waiting for Grigg's save perform going further re: the apparition's response.

Grigg

Grigg fares marginally better this time, though not by much and still flees the room after Milo.

Save vs spells [1d20 - 2 = 14-2=22]

Can Grigg run into the portcullis ro hide.
