Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Hissing a warning about traps, Dren shakes him curly head, but is relieved to see that Erinar has made it to the centre of the room unmolested.
Glancing up at the ceiling to see where the rubble has come from, Dren begins to circle left around the room, heading round to listen at the far door and check it for dangers.

Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
As Erinar disassembles the pyramid, he is disappointed to find it conceals nothing.
Dren glances up at the ceiling to find the source of the rubble, however the ceiling like the walls of this room are not marred. The rubble could not have come from this room. Working his way over to the door, Dren checks the door but finds no traps. Listening, he hears nothing emanating from the other side.

Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Marcus looks confused. "How did this rubble get here if not from this room and for what purpose did it serve? Careful guys I do not like the look of this room..one bit." Marcus, steps back, out the room until the far door is opened."Dren, if you are going to open that door let me tie a rope to your waist while I hold the other end just incase something..."
Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Nodding to Marcus, he signals for him to throw the rope over, tying it securely around his waist, then taking a deep breath and opening the door slowly and as quietly as possible until he can see through.

Erinar, human cleric lvl 1
Erinar faces the door, standing about 15' away, shield and holy symbol at the ready in case there are any undead that need turning.

Gawain will stand next to the door sword drawn ready to defend Marcus should something come barreling out of the door.
Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Dren opens the door slowly and silently, peering out as soon as he is able. The door opens to another hallway extending past the range of light. He does see that about 20 feet down the hall on the left is another opening but there is alot of rubble in front of the opening. 30 feet past that is an archway built into this hall. The hall continues on after the archway as well as what appears to be another opening on the left.

Erinar lights a torch and moves up beside Dren and looks through the door way.

Motioning for the rest to close up, Dren checks that the rope is still securely tied before sneaking out into the new corridor, heading to the new opening, sweeping for traps as he goes and risking a glance at the ceiling, wandering where all this rubble is coming from?

"I got you Dren."Marcus says, as he secures his grip on the rope that is snuggle fit around the small halfling's waist. Standing at a distance of about ten feet from Dren and following him, Marcus prepares for the worst.

Erinar files in after Marcus, shield slung on his back, torch in one hand and holy symbol in the other.

Mortiganto backs up Erinar, following close behind.

Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Dren proceeds down the first 20 feet of the hallway and glances to his left at the pile of rubble. Looking up at the ceiling, there are cracks in the masonry where some of the rubble came from. Looking down the corridor, he sees it ends ten feet away from where he stands, a cave-in blocking off the hallway.

Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Undoing the rope, from around Dren, Marcus stands along the Halfling and tries to look behind the rock pile. "Now what do we have here?"
Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
The rocks have all settled on top of each other, as if the collapse occurred a long time ago. There is no way to see beyond them.
Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Erinar, holding his torch and holy symbol, goes about 10 feet east of the rock pile "Whats this here?"

Pyrrhic shakes the cobwebs from his head, draws his spear waiting for something to jump out of the rocks.

Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Pulling himself away from the rocks, Marcus follows behind Erinar as he ventures down the hall. "I got you covered."He whispers as they walk along the dark and rocky hallway.
Marcus looks behind him and notices Pyrrhic at the ready near the pile of rocks. "Smart idea. For I, like yourself, believe that there is something more to that rock pile than meets the eyes. Maybe after we look a bit down the this hall than come back and remove the pile of rocks and see what is behind it...maybe loot?"

Re: Part 3: Sojourn into the Barrowmaze
Moving 10' east of the rock pile puts you 10' west of the intersection. Each square is 10'. As it stands now, The party (minus Erinar) is standing around the rock pile. Erinar is 10' east. I know Marcus is following Dren but we haven't heard from Dren as to where he is going now.GTan_Baq wrote:Erinar, holding his torch and holy symbol, goes about 10 feet east of the rock pile "Whats this here?"
