Gwillt steps into the small building.
"Afternoon, Ferrell. Gentlemen." He looks around, and adds, "You sure you have room for the lot of us?"

Strom isn't happy about leaving the children but he doesn't see a better alternative.
He follows along with the others.

Gwillt begins to step into the small building when he feels a tug and notices the halfling at his heels, "Don't forget the kids," he reminds the ranger. "Afternoon, Ferrell. Gentlemen." He looks around, and asks "You sure you have room for the lot of us?" as Ewell files in next, followed by Epsilon, each offering their own greetings. Clearly, a building of this size is not meant to hold over a dozen people, more than half of whom are fully equipped, and a collection of cooking devices.
Ferrell begins taking charge of the situation. "Here," she starts, "Jasper, you help Stan slide this table back. Make room!" she barks, and the two male companions she was seated with dutifully obey. "There won't be seatin' for y'all, but I'll see that y'all get inside." she waves the group in. "The last one of ya, close the door behind ya, will ya?"
As group files in and the scramble to rearrange the contents of the room continues, the chef declares the stew he was preparing ready. At this news, Ferrell says: "Now's that the food be ready, we's almost ready to leave anyway." she informs the party. "We's been gone fer too long and is need'n to get back to the Inn." She looks over the lot of new arrivals. "Never did think I'd be seein' yous again," she continues, and begins hugging each of you, even the newest members to the party she hadn't met previously. "I's glad I get a chance to thank y'all for savin' me inn, 'n probably the whole town for that matter."
"Where y'all been?" she asks.

Ewell answers...
Umm ma'am, thank y'all for the hospitality. We wanted to do more, and are humbled that you have forgiven us for letting fall so many of your neighbors. We spent a couple days recovering after a few were incapacitated. As you see, we lost a couple dear friends ourselves. And we didnt know where to go, so well, we went where we knew, and that was out of town for a bit.
He continues.
Can one of y'all tell us what the situation is? Are the trogs still around? What do you need help with to rebuild?

"The kids are OK, by the way. We unknowingly checked in on them on our way here."
After Ewell speaks, Gwillt mumbles, "...should probably start with the window in the back of the inn."

The halfling remains outside clear of the doorway's view.

He doesnt want to get trampled while they question the persons inside.

Shannigans lets the door close without reaching for it. He remains outside.

As far as Ferrel and the others know, and are concerned, Shannigans is among the dead.
He slips to the sw corner of the building to get an ear on the conversation and still remain on watch, especially the rear of the Dragon and the immediate north.

Grimnail, being a stranger, will hang back as well keeping an eye (and nose) on the street and buildings from the door.

Having scanned the Dragon and the immediate north, Shannigans turns, and to his surprise, he is not alone. His stance relaxes some and he looks about for a more advantageous spot. Finding only a nearby waterbarrel, he climbs and puts his back to the building and keeps watch.

OOC: So Shanny, Kaltar, and Grim all stay outside?
Gwillt turns to start introductions and stops, noting some of the group is missing...
"Well... You know everyone here but O'rek there. Looks like some others are waiting outside. Please, catch us up on the last few days. What has happened since the attack?"

"Youse cleared out the beasts on the west side of town." Ferrell starts. "Which'n we appreciate. There was 'nother group, though, on the other side, which started lightin' fires 'n destroyed lots of town." she continues. "People was leavin' O'Hare anyway, so most those folks simply left as well."
"Not sure what those things wanted, but thankfully they didn't stay long. I've a feelin' they'll be back, though. They've been here before 'n will probably be here's again." the innkeeper finishes with a sigh.
"Are youse gonna be stickin' 'round? Very few of us are left for defense."
---
All is quiet outside.

"I believe," Gwillt replies, glancing over at Ewell and Strom to confirm, "we plan on making sure those things don't have the chance to attack again."

We almost had three!!! Gwilt was here from the beginning. We added another along the way (wolfpack's first character) and I tried to triple class Shanningans at creation but missed the stat rolls by 1 point I think.

Why, of course. That is, if y'all want us to. Assuming so... What information can you tell? Does anyone know of their location?

"Even though it's been a few days, I should still be able to track them, at least part way. There were enough of them... but it might be helpful to hear what you folks suspect or know about them, just the same," Gwillt adds.
