Your impromptu minstrel troop, tries their luck at The Gold Coin , a tavern just down from The Trident and Shield were you have rooms. The crowd is Curious (I rolled a 10) and not unappreciative with your performance.



OOC: Okay, now you roll a Charisma check (1d20+3): 10+ you get 2d6 gold coins tossed your way (on failure you get half rounded down), 12+ you Inspire someone in the crowd and you get a LUCK token, 15+ you Fascinate the entire crowd and get an extra 1d6 gold dropped in your hat and gain 1 point of recognition in the Dock District. (You can add recognition points to your Charisma Check for all future performances in the Dock District.) If you, or any of your troop want to spend LUCK on your rolls, they/you can.

Draven will spend his luck to help out.

Now that's the badger!

Vesper's performance has some hiccups at the start and the rowdy patrons make some catcalls, but that soon changes as she gets going and the cats and bird join the act. Soon the crowd is cheering and clapping along to the music as Vesper dances and coins begin to tinkle and clank as they drop into the hat the troop has on the floor. More than once Draven has to 'encourage' enthusiastic on-watchers to step back as they try to take the stage...and Vesper. By the end the whole crowd is stamping their feet and cheering for her! The crowd surges forward and are...mostly...held back by Draven and Galreth, but the troop has to pull back and it is a few minutes of pandemonium before something approaching order is restored. Gaurbal makes sure to grab "the hat" and protect it from the surging crowd. A round, or two...or three, of a hearty ale is consumed...on the house...before the troop is allowed to leave The Gold Coin. As the troop leaves, the name Vesper is on several lips calling out to her. She has certainly made an impression on this crowd.

Gaurbal has been holding the quite heavy hat containing the troop's take tightly the entire time and only now does the party gather under a flickering streetlamp to look inside to see what they earned from this performance.
The group quickly counts out 30 copper, 37 silver, and 10 gold pieces....as well as several worthless shards of pottery and brass washers.

Vesper holds in place but stands close enough to make the gleeful mischief visible in her eyes "A fine parry. Perhaps I should have expected no less from a swordsman". Then she laughs clearly finding Draven's reply hugely amusing. She makes her way onstage still laughing at his response and maybe with a renewed reserve of joie de vivre to put into her performance.

Still buoyed up by the troupe's success Vesper replies with a laugh "That's only ever happened to me..." lost in a sudden onset of realization and mental reckoning she frowns "...a quite small number of times!" She adds with a fond smile "Each case being entirely understandable given the circumstances!"

Gaurbal counts the coins, his lips moving slightly as he does. "Is there not a saying that you should leave them wanting more? There are enough silvers here to equip and feed us for a few days. I agree we should use the gold to enjoy ourselves."

I agree we add the 10 gold to the existing 10 gold for a much better party and keep the silver. We can do more entertaining another night, we could even try and get paid by one of the taverns and advertise up front to get more people in. I'm not sure if I can but I'd like to use that luck point on the carousing, if possible.
