We decided that most regular doors require an Open Doors roll - a d6 roll modified by Strength.

But secret doors require you - as players - to tell me how your character is going to try to open the door. For instance, the last secret door had a pressure panel that opened it. But, well, Gromp smashed his way in instead.

Now, one of you players must have your character figure out how this door opens. Two of you have tried running your hands over the door, but the characters did not find any hidden latches or catches or knobs, etc. on the door.

Myrrh

"I will take a look."

Myrrh starts by checking the wall, floor, ceiling along the edge of the door for pressure points, pushing pulling where possible. Anything that can be handled like a torch scone or candle holder nearby gets handled next, pulled, twisted, etc.

Myrrh finds a pressure plate on the floor in front of the door. By pressing it, the door releases with an audible click and can be pushed inward....

But, before the door can be opened, several kobolds come from behind the party hoping to surprise them!

PCs d6= [1d6]=4, Enemy d6= [1d6]=5 No surprise.

ROUND #1 - INITIATIVE - Kobolds win!

INITIATIVE PCs [1d6]=3 ENEMY [1d6]=5

Six Kobolds brandishing wicked daggers race from around the corner to attack the rear flank!

Kobold #1 attacks Vali. Basic Attack Roll [1d20]=4 It misses.

Kobold #2 attacks Brinna. Basic Attack Roll [1d20]=5 It misses!

Kobold #3 attacks Cinders. Basic Attack Roll [1d20]=14 It just misses!

Kobold #4 attacks Lia. Basic Attack Roll [1d20]=11 It misses!

Kobold #5 attacks Faron. Basic Attack Roll [1d20]=13 It misses!

Bigger Kobold #6 attacks Vali. Basic Attack Roll [1d20]=9 It misses!

After that pathetic series of attacks, the PCs get their chance to retaliate.
