Gwilt nods at Epsilon's suggestion. "Aye, a trap, or at least a careful watch. I'd hate to have the lot of us stay up the entire night and have nothing happen..."

I say we pry open any one of them that will budge. If it makes noise, so be it. Aint like our sleep with be worth a dang anyway... Unless, we let the chosen ones sleep their allotted time, while the rest of us guard them. Then we attack the doors?

Gwilt shrugs, "The second plan has merit. A rested cleric is certainly more helpful than one what isn't."

Fiendishly clever, I grant you that. However, the bonus you speak of is applied towards experience points awarded.
02. Races wrote:3. Experience Points: All human characters earn experience-and-a-half for all experience points awarded (e.g. (xp * 1.5)).
In this case, only 100xp was actually awarded.
That, or all human characters are now somewhere around 10th level (sorry Garth and Shannigans). :D

"We could climb a rope and check the windows outside, but I'm beat. I need the rest. Mind if I retire? Where do you want me?"

"Probably true of all of us -- maybe we should just turn to our original watch schedule and be wary of the entrances. Knowing that it's there and a careful eye - we would be able to strike sure and swift to anyone opening that door!" Alordan nods wearily as well.

at the very least string some string across the secret door and tie some pots to it.

Strom is growing increasingly impatient. What are we discussing at this point? Let us go downstairs and put to the question the innkeeper, the chef and everyone else until we stamp out their intentions. Clearly someone has set us up, let us be more direct in discovering who and why.

"Well, for starters,"Gwillt begins, "we'd most likely be out our a) gold and b) rooms for the night. Something tells me we wouldn't end up with any good answers, anyway. These people are scared of something - something that must have quite a hold on them."

OOC: We're starting to bog down. Let's put this to a quick vote. Do you want to:
a) Rest up the casters and set a watch for the night in two of the rooms (third room - room 8 - set up with dummies in the beds)
b) Pry the door open and see what we can find out (keep in mind, the space back there is small. Most of us will have trouble even getting back there)
c) Confront the innkeeper

Shannigans would have picked either and all of the 3 choices, but, as of this moment, is going with A.

Just to clarify... you all want to go with option C, right? ;)

I will try to work in an update tonight. If not, early tomorrow.

Ummm... Lets go with... A.

Sleep order isn't too important, just as long as the casters get to sleep for four hours minimum...

Sorry, I fully intended on updating the game earlier this morning, but it has been an insane day today, both at home and at work.

Working on new post which will be up shortly.

The previous sleeping arrangements are scrapped upon the discovery of the secret passages leading into each room, but quick planning allows everyone to settle in for the night at close to the original time of 10:00pm. Instead of occupying all three rooms, dummies are set up in the beds of the middle room (room 8) with the eight party members squeezing into the two remaining rooms. The two rangers, two clerics, two warriors and two non-humans agree to split up, with Gwilt, Shannigans, Kaltar and Strom taking room 7, the room closest to the stairs; and Alordan, Epsilon, Garth and Ewell settling into room 9, the second room from the end.

Hoping to allow the spell casters a full nights sleep, Strom and Ewell, both at full (or near full) strength agree to take the first nightly watch (from 10:00pm until 2:00am) while Gwilt and Alordan plan to take over at that point until morning breaks (6:00am).

While Strom and Ewell would prefer to remain in their armor, they realize the noise their metal armor would make at the conclusion of their shifts and agree to perform their watches with their weapons in hand, but without their protective suits of mail. Those at rest keep their weapons stowed within arms reach, but are also without any armor.

---

Aside from the occasional sounds heard from the lower level, all is relatively quiet. Strom and Ewell complete their shifts and wake Gwilt and Alordan, their respective replacements. The weary and armored warriors quickly crash into their beds. Gwilt and Alordan also complete their shifts without incident. The late night is quiet. Eerily quiet it seemed at times.

---

It's a new day. Full of opportunities.

The party wakes (+1 hp) and only Gwilt and Kaltar have any hint of damage remaining from their various conflicts the previous day. The spell casters, full refreshed, can safely go about their respective practices of relearning their daily spells (please make sure your character sheets reflect which spells you wish to memorize) and all characters can go about whatever preparations they wish to make before setting out for the day.

---

Again, I had the sleeping arrangements as such:

Room 7: Gwilt, Shannigans, Kaltar, Strom
Room 8: Dummies
Room 9: Alordan, Epsilon, Garth, Ewell

You're welcome to do so, but unless unless you specifically state you do, I will assume your character remains in the room specified above while making their morning preparations.

Feel free to discuss your plans for the new day.
