FYI: Because you have Armsmaster, you can Stow your hammer and Ready something else and still be able to draw the hammer as an Instant Action.

Can you guys please give me a marching order? I can't figure out which wasps might target Kaithar without knowing where he is in relation to everyone else.

I would think Ciarra would be somewhere in the middle, otherwise I don't care.

Mikhail has been out front scouting and Kaithar usually helps, Gars is probably near the back leading the mules, but he would welcome a rear guard. He is usually talking to Lavin so that makes sense to be her. So normal marching order might be:

Mikhail -- Kaithar
Ciarra
Gars -- Lavin

In this encounter, Mikhail moved aside by himself to test the wasp reaction. Gars used his move to advance and join him and struck down the bug. Nobody else declared a move, but held ground. So I am visualizing us in two clusters:

Mikhail -Gars

Kaithar - Ciarra - Lavin

I don't want to keep harping on this but if you don't add relevant information to your posts, like Shock damage on a miss, I'm not counting it.

For future reference, you only get to choose one Skill to make a skill check to answer a question.

As it says on pg 9 of the rules, "if two different skills might be applicable to a check, the player can choose which of the skills to use."

I think I'm going to award 1 XP for each expedition where the party spends at least one night camping in the wilderness.

I haven't looked at what you've done on the most recent expedition to see if you've earned an XP but you'd clinch it by staying out and not heading back to civilization this time around.

A reminder to all of you to try to make your IC posts advance the action. You guys have had five days to decide what to do and there still isn't consensus.

There's two yes votes and one maybe to head back so that's what we're doing.

Sorry I was late in posting. My post was intended to be "we go forward, and in that direction" agreeing with Mikhail not to turn back.

Gars points west northwest to the next bald hill (which should be in or across the swamp, right?). "There. I suspect that if we're going to solve the swamp's mysteries, we should start there."

Now that we've turned back, I'll post about the fort.
