Raffi checks the corpses of the dragon women, to see if there is anything they might have missed.
You never know he says nonchalantly as the others look on.
In examining one of the bodies you find that the body is rapidly losing structure and then you see it moves, not like an undead but perhaps like something is eating it from the inside. And with that 3 rat sized creatures (baby green dragons?) exit the body and start flying to the south.

"Not good if every time we kill one 2 more are born. We will need to burn the bodies right away from now on."
She watches them go and notes the direction/path they follow.

Raffi let’s out a high pitched yell and leaps backwards, drawing his weapons again.
THAT is gross! What are these things. Incubators for green dragon babies? Magical constructs. That might explain their immunity to Paralyzation magics, but not their susceptibility to hypnotisation. There is a sentience there as well as the master’s possession, right!
Hex looks at his aide with astonishment.
What? the halfling asks.
I listen! I think we need to make up our minds and swiftly about what we intend to do and then do it, before we are caught with our draws down. Are we finding a place to secure, or are we heading off after the dragon babies?

Moves over to where the dragon daughter can't hear, "We could follow the dragon daughter and little ones and see where it takes us."

Androgost
Surprised by the unexpected procreation, with the group away from the restrained one: I agree, swift action is needed… we will continue to move forward after dispatching the prisoner and cutting the eyes from the strands. Franny, Boff, this is difficult, but Franny needs to return and alert the cities below. We are about to engage in war and a messenger is needed to let those we serve know, just a courtesy. Discuss between yourselves and I will provide a signed letter from myself as an authenticating credential.
Let’s dispatch the daughter away from the grove, in a manner that will let no creation take place, and move towards where the others went… thoughts?

Boff
"These mountains are not safe for Franny to travel alone. I swore to my clan that I would protect her out here. If she needs to travel back to town then the pair of us will do it."

"Agreed Boff, traveling alone can be dangerous. I agree with your plan Androgost, lets get it done."
She moves to finish off the dragon daughter with her bow.
Do I need rolls for this?

"I'm not sure sending one of our clerics away in these circumstances is wise."

Siouxsie
"Oh my. Aren't they beautiful little things. Quick catch one for me. I want one!" she says, surprised at the sudden hatchlings fledging and flying away before she can capture one.
she does have another thought. If every Shletke incubated such. Well we could kill the captive and take the chicks for ourselves. I could become 'the Mother of Dragons'

Boff
"Androgost, you will need the letter to Silver Spring since I was carrying it. In addition, I will offer to leave for someone that wants it 100 feet rope and a grappling hook, Sledgehammer, and a 2-person tent."
Boff and Franny will head back.

In the Jotens - Downhill in a hurry
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick
Qleceec (AC 1, HP 63/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 59/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah (AC 4, HP 53/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 44/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 50/50)
Boff (AC 5, HP 61/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)
Hex (AC 0, HP 27/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)
Siouxsie fills in the rest of the party with what was said by the webbed Shtelke.
The group gathers trying to get away from the hanging topaz and the webbed Shtelke to discuss the next course of action.
Androgost suggests that Franny (and Boff adds himself) should be heading back to town to let them know of the dragon situation. Garrant seems give the only vote against that departure. In addition Androgost suggests that the group head to the south (off trail) to find the home of these dragon children and perhaps the parent as well since the Shtelke stated "The Princely born moved the heavens and the earth and freed us from eternal darkness." which could be the source of the earthquakes.
Qleceec uses her bow to kill the Shtelke prisoner. (It take three arrows not quite as automatic as a knife to the throat especially with the webs in the way)
The other three previously killed Shtelke end up producing 7 more rat-sized "baby dragons" that also fly to the south with Siouxsie asking for someone to catch one for her.
Boff and Franny get ready to head back to town offering up some of the supplies.

Can I take a baby dragon? Or have they flown away?

How do you want to capture one? Your hands, a net, magic?
And the webbed one would presumably still have its babies.

Nah Olos watches Siouxsie trap an emerging baby green dragon. "Never get between a mother and her young. Though, when she sees that you have her young, maybe that'll blind her with rage so she gets sloppy in her attack. That might gain us an advantage. Do we have a plan to kill the dragon?"

Androgost
Before accepting the letter for Silver Spring and other equipment from Boff, Androgost listens to Garrant: I agree, losing two of the group is difficult loses to absorb. Do you have another suggestion? It would be prudent to let the leadership below know the evolving situation.
Siouxsie , if you capture one, you need to feed it everyday and make sure it relieves itself away from camp....

Siouxsie
Has no particular plan to capture one. We could take the other Shtelke as a prisoner, take her to the settlement with us. She can still incubate any eggs she carries and we can harvest them later.
yeah I know it sounds a bit selfish. She could be talked around about how impractical raising a baby dragon within the group might be.
Still if these are baby dragons or baby Shtelke?
Not sure she would condone the murder of the Shtelke by Qleceec. The deed is done but you would know her disapproval even though they attacked us. I think too she probably wouldn't just take the fledglings as soon as the mother host was killed.
She will follow to whatever suitable campsite we can find.

Indecision in the Jotens
Late Afternoon Starday, 8th day of Planting, 597
3rd day since leaving Loftwick
Qleceec (AC 1, HP 63/63)
Androgost (AC -6, HP 59/65, Armor 23/26)
Nah (AC 4, HP 53/53)
Siouxsie (AC 2, HP 44/48)
Garrant (AC 8, HP 50/50)
Boff (AC 5, HP 61/61)
Franny (AC 4, HP 26/26)
Hex (AC 0, HP 27/27, Armor 8/8)
Raffi (AC -1, HP 21/21, Armor 8/8)
Nah Olos asks what the dragon killing plan is? Siouxsie thinks about trying to catch one of the "baby dragons", but thinks the better of it. Androgost reconsiders sending Boff and Franny off when they offer the supplies. Siouxsie expresses her dislike of Qleceec's killing of the captured Shtelke.
The group continues to stand around the forest at about 4:40 in the afternoon.
Is the plan to keep going along the path, retreat out of the dragons zone, camp here or press the potential dragon's liar? Or maybe something else?

"If we are going to follow the little dragons we have to do it now, they wont leave a trail as they are flying."
To Siouxsie, "I did what I felt I must. The deed is my responsibility and I own it."

Hex nods too. Let’s get going then.
He and Raffi get on their ponies and check everything is stowed, ready to depart.
