Re: OOC
Thanks for the kind words Rex
Who knows, maybe I'll get the chance here as well, right?
Will attach a teaser from another campaign.

Re: OOC
Welcome, Sastaz!
I'm going to be on the road for a few days, and don't expect to be able to update reliably until I'm back. Please NPC Idril to your heart's content! I find it helps to suck on a sour persimmon before typing, to get into character.

Re: OOC
Sounds good. I will probably be able to give you some info on why you are where you are tonight or Saturday morning at the latest, I have some thoughts already. And then I will work you in at the same time.
Re: OOC
I thought I would give some background on the cliff picture I just posted. It is a view of Ethan Allen Tower, looking up from the bottom of "Indian Rock". I grew up about a quarter mile from the Tower and lived there into my late 20's. I spent lots of hours wandering/hunting in the park and around the Tower. There are caves all underneath it that they don't advertise and try and keep people out of now, but when I was young they were free game. Tight fit for a young boy even but cool none the less. I have climbed that cliff face several times in all seasons including winter when it was ice covered. Even jerry rigged rope once and me and some friends thought ourselves how to repel down the cliff face as teenagers.

You can see where I grew up in the aerial view photo of the park, on the western (left) edge of the photo is a rectangular section with lots of smaller buildings. That is the trailer park I grew up in.

Re: OOC
That's so cool. How was life in the trailer park? We don't have that kind of housing in Sweden, so I wouldn't have a clue.
I grew up in a suburbian town house, next to a lot of industrial zones, so we were playing in the trash bins of the construction companies, running around on the highways etcetera. I would not recomment letting your kids play next to the highway, but we found a lot of useful stuff in the trash bins though. Easy to build your own shack when there's planks and carpet samples all around
Drawback was lack of nature. No vistas like the ones you had. My grandfather had an enormous overgrown yard, that was something.

Re: OOC
It was many years ago, the 1970's and 80's. It is housing for the poor here, at least then. We were poor, my parents had 8 children (I am 7 of 8) and it was rough at times but it was good. We did well. My oldest brother was the first person from the park to graduate from high school and to get a 2 year college degree, my oldest sister the first to get a 4 year college degree. All of us ended up getting degrees and paying for it all ourselves. Lots of great memories and a few rough ones but it made for a close family and strong friendships. The guys I still play Harn with have been my friends since I was 4, 13, and a third 15. We have been playing together a long time (I will be 52 shortly). For Vermont Burlington is the big city, everywhere else it is just a town. I prefer the woods and always have.
Re: OOC
I went through to get the time line straight for myself. I am calling day 1 the 7th of Kelen, which is the third month of spring. This would make it around June 1st give or take a day or 2 on Earth.
Day 1, 7 Kelen, TZ 720
- - Algrim and Arngeir start south from the ruined Laranian Abbey of Orthasa. Meet up with a caravan with Idril in it recovering from a Gargun attack.
- - Aid in healing and return north to the Abbey.
- - They discover a hidden stash of items.
- - Algrim kills a forest deer
Day 2, 8 Kelen
- - Algrim goes on a boar hunt in the morning.
- - More learned about items
- - Plans discussed
Day 3, 9 Kelen
- - The caravan starts south again
Day 4, 10 Kelen
- - Continues south
Day 5, 11 Kelen
- - Healing on recovering guardsman in the morning
- - Continues south
- - Discover Ivashu track/sign in the afternoon

Re: OOC
The role play is great. Please continue if you want. Pulpatoon said he would be out of touch for a few days so I am delaying on my next update post until then. I may post some info or what not if you need it based on your role play but nothing major until then.
Re: OOC
I will do up a post tonight after work detailing out your Skill maintenance Points (SMPs) and Piety rewards for 10 Kelen. Most likely under a Advancement thread. I will also explain how to use the SMPs.
Re: OOC
New thread for Advancement.
