Gunnar destroys one of the skeletons, but his shield bash misses the remaining foe.

It now attacks Gunnar, trying to claw him with both hands: A 19 and a 14! Well, you know your AC better than I, but if that first claw hits, it does 4 points of damage, and if that second claw hits, it does 1 point of damage. Also, that first claw drains 2 XP and the second claw drains 3 XP (this cannot make you drop a level, but will need to be "made up for"!).

As far as the first door goes, as I said previously, it has an inset lock. It will need to be unlocked somehow, or bashed open, to enter the space beyond.

Yikes! Yes the first claw hits, per my sig AC 16. Ouch. Adjusting character sheet. Hey is he entitled to a saving throw? If so, 18 (!) ... Fortitude +1, Will + 3... so 19 or 21. If not, I already noted the loss on the sheet.

I'll go ahead and roll next round attacks, in case Milner misses or doesn't respond in time.

Attacking defensively, to hit: 11 + 3 (deed success) + 2 = 16, damage: 3 + 3 + 2 = 8. +1 AC for following round.

Daryll will spend a moment and Find Traps on the first door.

Well, you'll be happy to know that you manage to destroy the last skeleton before it gets another chance to attack, but less happy to know that there is no save. OTOH, you may have 2 XP, so the net effect is 0.

Daryll does not believe there is a trap on the door.

Inside the room, folks gather up warm coins.

OK cool - who gets the 2XP, just Gunnar?

"Looks safe. I'mma pick it," Daryll says. He pulls out his tools and starts fiddling with the lock. 2. ... +2, and spending 4 Luck for +4d3 = 7 = 11 total. Will that succeed?

That is correct.

There is a soft click within the locking mechanism.

Daryll exhales. "Think I got it. Famous last words, right?" He smirks. "Y'all ready?"

Daryll opens the door.

With nothing threatening coming down the hall, Murq turns his attention to the first door. Jed follow Gunnar and Milner back to the first door. "Anyone in need of healing?'

If Willem and Jonas are done scopping up coins off the floor (and grabbing the silver neckalce thing of the scorched skeleton), they will join the others by the first door, armed and ready for business.

If there are more coins to pick up they will continue doing that until they hear a commotion from the hall.

"Aye," Gunnar says, wincing a bit. "The cold claws of that cursed thing sliced me up good. If your God will see fit to reward me for putting them down, I'd be grateful. I suppose my ancestors would understand accepting a heathen's healing." He mutters a quick prayer to appease them, nonetheless.

Examination of the necklace shows that it is made of platinum wire.

Opening the now-unlocked door, Daryll sees a 20-foot square crypt. Within, a single skeleton lies upon a slab of stone. A faint runic script written in charcoal decorates the room from wall to wall. Daryll's quick eyes note that the skeleton is wearing two bracelets of silvery-gold metal.

The relatively short time spent scooping up coins nets 216 sp and 8 gp. In addition, the bag grabbed from the room earlier contains another 50 sp.

Can Jed or Jonas read the writing?

They cannot. Indeed, there is no one in the party who can.

"Hey, you," Daryll grabs the fat merchant guy and his nearest buddy. "Get in there and earn your share... see what it's got." He gives them a shove into the room.

Jed lays a hand on Gunnar's shoulder, praying to Nergal to heal him. Nergal's might flowed through him into Gunnar, causing the wounded flesh to knit together. "You see, Nergal is pleased with your efforts to put down these abominations."

Lay on Hands: 20 (d20) - 1 (Per) + 1 (CL) = 20, 9 (d10) points of healing

Gunnar snatches his healed body back from the priest. "Thanks," he says, then shivers. "Nothing personal, you understand." He mumbles a quick prayer to his ancestors for forgiveness as best he can recall from childhood.

Who exactly got shoved into the room, and how do they react to that?

Karl and Eduard, was who Daryll was going for. How they react is probably up to judge interpretation, since the player hasn't posted in quite some time...
