Xenos left the desert to escape his father, but after his sea voyage maybe he's decided sand is best :)

If someone new is running a healer I might actually be able to level Drest up. Scouts only need 1750 xp for second level in 2e. I ordered the hard cover of 3e but never got the PDF for some reason.

We might want to tweak Xenos' background as it mentions Xambaala, we could change that to another port city if you want.

I actually like the idea that at least one of you is familiar with the Zakath Desert area.

And since Xenos doesn't really want to go back there again, it adds natural tension to the story. (not to mention the fortunate possibility of knowing a few NPC's)

If you are cool with it, I would leave it as is.

I'm fine keeping it as it is.

It's definitely Yithorium that he will absolutely go nowhere near, but he would certainly want to keep his head down in Xambaala in case he runs into one of his father's retainers or slaves, which might indicate his father is undertaking one of his rare visits. It all adds to the fun. :)

A TPK (well almost if we all resurrect on the shores of another continent leagues away). Not sure any of us knew what we were really doing in the latter stages so once character attrition set in, I felt it was only going one way.

With Valkrina's character death I deleted her sheet. Your archives might show what I rolled originally for random stats. I can create a new bardic incarnation of her linked to this campaign and fill in the blanks on her sheet. I know she had advanced to 2nd level with 16hp.

How would a Hyperborean bard continue to fit in with the upcoming campaign? Would you prefer a tweak to another class. I felt she lacked a degree of martial, rogue or spell casting skills so was fairly average in her ability to influence the group's actions.

I will get out my AS&SH pdf and see what additions she could take or changes she can make. (Presuming we advance to third level or can take in a second class?)

I agree with that assessment.

If you'd like to continue on with Valkrina, I think there will be more opportunities for her to shine in this new area.

If you would rather go another route, that is fine with me as well.

I will reward any returning characters with 1,500xp from their recent efforts.

I think that will get some of you to the next level while getting the rest of you fairly close.

I have 3 possible new players so far, so hopefully there is little or no break in the action as we introduce the new PC's into the game.

Once we have everyone on board and ready, I will request the new game thread be set up where we can all resume the action together.

Puts me halfway to 3rd level.

As per the 3e rules, are you happy for me add another spell to my spellbook? If so I'd like to go for Chill Touch.

Drest levels up to 3rd level.

3rd level hp [1d6+1]=1+1=2

Classic roll.

His fighting ability increased to 2 does that mean I add a plus to hit or is it something you take care of?

It looks like the 3e added some stuff to the scout or I missed it before so I will update that as well (disguise, extraordinary Dex bonus, and 50 move).

I think his sheet is all updated.

I am not 100% sure what you are asking me with this one.

Can you elaborate?

You can re-roll any 1's.

Thac0 is something that I compute when I write up the combat sequence, so no need to do anything about FA on your end. (though adding it somewhere on your sheet might not hurt for easier access)

I didn't notice any Class changes. Looks like I better get my face back into those PDF's.

The 3e rules say that a Warlock adds a new spell to their spellbook when they go up a level. 2e seems unclear on this.

Xenos only has a single spell, even though he's second level, so can I choose another 1st level necromancer spell?

Okay, thats is what I thought you meant.

Yes, please feel free to add another to your sheet.

Thanks!

You know what, he is meant to be a Death Soldier, so I'm going to go for Invisibility to Undead.

Better thanks.

I may have just missed the other ones when I made up his sheet the first time. Wouldn't be the first time I missed something.

Sorry I've missed the discussion. Forgot to say I was going to be away a couple days this week. But I'm back now.

Really excited about the game.

Noticed I hadn't downloaded the manuals from DT RPG. Only had the character sheets for some reason. Really looking forward to getting those hardbacks from the KS soon though, now that I've got my shelves mounted filled with books.

Gonna check if there's anything new regarding the Fighter class and add it along with the XPs.
