I'm beginning the character review and preparing the footer I use at the bottom of my updates.

I will begin adding notes as I come across situations where an explanation or interpretation might be required. I will continue to edit this post, not create new responses, so expect updates to this post until I reply that reviews have been completed.

Character (Player): Status
Kari (Rex): Completed
Rocco (Monsieur Rose): Completed
Wyreth (kalstone): Completed
Loran (Darklin2): Completed

To start:
  1. Rex, for Kari's 'Savage Attack' racial feature, you will still follow the 'Critical Hits and Misses' house rule but roll an extra dice. So, for example, you would roll the following for damange on a critical hit with your glaive: (10+2d10)+4. Damn.
  2. Monsieur Rose, you selected Earth Tremor as a 1st-level spell for Rocco, which comes from the 'Elemental Evil Player's Companion' book. If you don't mind, please replace it with a Bard Spell from the Player's Handbook. (Actually, disregard. I see it is also in Xanathar's Guide to Everything, which is an allowed source.)

I do believe Rocco should know a fifth 1st-level spell, no? The number of spells known should equal your Charisma modifier (+4) plus your Bard level (1). -- I'm an idiot.
  3. kalstone, you have not selected any spells for Wyreth yet. He should have two cantrips and know five 1st-level spells. -- Done.

Remember to give mine a good look since I am new and have no idea about 5E.

I have completed my reviews of the character sheets (except for the 'Description' and 'Notes' sections). Everything looks great, and I only have two notes:
  • Monsieur Rose, I believe Rocco should know a fifth 1st-level spell. The number of spells known should equal your Charisma modifier (+4) plus your Bard level (1). -- I'm an idiot.
  • kalstone, you have not selected any spells for Wyreth yet. He should have two cantrips and know five 1st-level spells. Done.
I will review the other two sections, and the 'Session Zero' information soon, and will use it to help determine what to actually have you guys do. :D

Assuming all the bonds and relationships are in order, expect to start this weekend/early next week.

kalstone, two things:

1) Which type of environment would be most appropriate for Wyreth given his background and past:
  • Arctic
    Coast
    Desert
    Forest
    Grassland
    Hill
    Mountain
    Swamp
If you could add this selection in the "Other" section under the 'Notes' tab on your character sheet? Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

2) Regarding:
  • "You choose whether your equipment falls to the ground in your space, merges into your new form, or is worn by it. Worn equipment functions as normal, but the DM decides whether it is practical for the new form to wear a piece of equipment, based on the creature’s shape and size. Your equipment doesn’t change size or shape to match the new form, and any equipment that the new form can’t wear must either fall to the ground or merge with it. Equipment that merges with the form has no effect until you leave the form."
Can we agree that, unless you state otherwise when you declare the action, the default action here is that your equipment merges with your new form?

Thanks!

Note: I just posted a 'Session 1:???' topic that contains the footer information for all your characters. It's read-only (locked) for now.

Can you please review the information for your character and let me know here in the OOC thread if you notice any errors or omissions?

Thanks!

Edit: I also renamed and unstickied the 'Session Zero 0' topic.)

As much as I'd love a fifth spell :D , I can't find where it says Bards get CHA mod plus level. I can't add another in DnD Beyond. It looks like it's a flat 4, no matter the CHA.

Wizards do get INT mod plus level.

Everything else looks great.

Oops, my bad:
Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher wrote:"You know four 1st-level spells of your choice from the bard spell list."
That's what happens when you just assume things.

I guess you're stuck with only 4. ;)

1. I've added coastal to the notes section.
2. Sounds good to me!

I think the damage for Hand Axe should be 1d6+4, its listed as 1d10+4.

You listed Two-Weapon Fighting under bonus actions, I am not sure where that comes from. I chose Defense for my Fighting Style and it is listed correctly in class features. Maybe it comes from something else?

All characters will have 'Two-Weapon Fighting' listed under their bonus actions, because any character can take advantage of it as long as they're using light weapons, and haven't used their bonus action on something else. The key detail in that rule is this:
  • "You don't add your ability modifier to the damage of the bonus attack, unless that modifier is negative."
The Fighter and Ranger classes have a Two-Weapon Fighting fighting style, and there's also a Dual Wielder feat, any of which improve your skills with two weapons... but any character, of any class, can fight with two light weapons at any time if they use their bonus action for their second attack.

Apologies for the delay in getting this one started. I have a lot on my plate right now, and have been wiped out by a cold the last few days.

I just now assembled all the notes from your Session 0 discussions, which I really appreciate. I will read them over tomorrow and ask any follow-up questions I might have. But, my plan is to figure out how to officially kick this one off over the weekend.

I have a pretty good idea of how to integrate Kari, Rocco, and Wyreth. I've been struggling a bit to immediately hook in Loran into the rest of the group, but I think I came up with something that could work.

A bit of warning: It shouldn't take long, but it may take me a bit of time to work everything together and complete the details and story that will eventually serve as the set-up to your adventures. But, I do think I have a good direction to start you in -- I just need some time to let the idea percolate and develop.

We'll be moving soon, though.
