I agree so long as you dont mean sexual action between our characters.

Im going to bump straight to the sale. Opportunity for action did exist, but no one left the mainroom.
The main room of the tavern, and the individual sleeping rooms seem to have been 'child-proofed'.
Danger did exist here, but no one investigated anything really.
(hypothetical examples.....rats in the back alley, arcane writings on the privvy walls, a few other opportunities existed. Wonder what was in the pantry.)

No going back for it now ooc, sorry.

Man, A mutiny already?

"Can we have some action, get on with it, lets go, etc...etc.."
geting 6 players into the room took a page and a half in itself
(hey it was my first time and there were no 2.5 examples to draw from speeding things up)
breakfast took another page and a half. (wanted to make sure everyone knew how the bar worked)
now we are here, introduced the first npc, setup the auction, one page, and Im not going fast enough?
i must be missing something...am i doing something wrong?
granted the excitemnet level is low right now (but building)
have you ever been in a hotel lobby for over 6 hours?
I am shocked no one stated that they are asleep in their chair. (a perfectly acceptable action)
im waiting on everyone to tell me exactly where they are before the shit hits the fan.
"Patience grasshopper"

I studied the other games on this website and 4 pages of posts involving set up isnt out of the norm
its less than most, more than a couple, and they are all experienced pbp dms
it is not a linear module, so i needed to allow enough rope for all to hang themselves with
at least the fighter didnt punch the mage in the tavern ;)

That mage didnt think you would really hit him! Neither did his owner!!

I still cant believe how that whole thing played out and how it didnt screw things up, it really did give us a common point to work together as a group.

As to this game Stone relax. I think we are all into things so far and want more. That is a good sign not a bad one! Dont stress man.

Stone, you're doing awesome. nothing is wrong.. we're all excited is all.

Skuzz is just...annoying.. it's his irritating personality. so anything in the RP thread is Skuzz being impatient.

i think alot of us are excited to be in the game, and i can't speak for others, but i'm excited to see this auction, because i've been playing D&D since the 80s, and have NEVER been in an auction...so i'm excited.

Edit: and yeah.... at least we're not punching each other in here....yet :)

I have been chompin at the bit because i'm just excited to see how broken this character build is..
i just want to get into combat with some monsters...

As a DM:
i think i found a new kit and build to ban.
my math is right... at 1st level - I strike 4 times a round, and (if all 4 hit) i do a minimum of 20 damage.
1pt min dmg +4 str/prof dmg bnus x4 attacks= 20 dmg
this point buy thing is soooo breakable..
which is why , as of now.....i am stopping allowing C&T and point buy in my future games

yeah i didn't TRY to make a broken character to begin with, but as I read more and more through that god awful book.. it seems stacking traits and kits and WPs and NWPs.. you can get like..3.5 retarded. i was like, "oh that fits for Skuzz....add that...hey i guess i can do this...add this.." and bam! somethings i didn't see until i was done, and noticed if I added them, it'd only make it worse, so i left it as it, so see how it fares..

i'm not looking to break game and Stone and I already had a nice PM convo about it. i'm just excited to let Skuzz go and see how much damage the dice let me make. if it's nominal average dmg and attack then it should be ok..

if its not.. i'll make a new character.

When I dm at home, we seldom use sheets. dice either. I once resolved combat by asking Trivia Pursuit questions. This being a pbp game, my first at that, i wont take liberties like that, but still, sheets are mostly for your benefit, but I may look at them occasionally
As for Shonuff, he used the James T. Kirk, Klingon Ambush Simulation Reprogram trick, sort of.

Just hoping for Vargr's locale, and everyone gets to roll some dice.
I will post before nights over.

some of you have sent private messages with magic items your character would/could use/want.
Cluemiester may or may not have them, but hey, you can ask.

Branc makes his way......... numbered fans and takes one, being sure to keep it low after he has it.

Funniest thing happened to me....
Garycon III auction benefiting the construct of Gygax statue in his hometown.
I donated a diorama castle made of wood, cardboard, flocking and such. I had to give a brief description of it. I was nervous in front of all of our gaming heroes. I mean, MELF (Gary's son) was sitting right there!!!! And there was TENSER (Gary's oldest son) over in the corner, talking to Tom Wham. You get the idea, I was shaking.
After it was over, (it auctioned for about 150 bucks, and everyone was happy) I had to go to the bar and get a drink and shake it off. haha
When I returned, Tim Kask, original TSR editor was up auctioning off some special one of a kind module.
All i heard was.. "I got four, who'll give me five?"
I said 'I'll give five."Tim looked at me , bent slightly over, smiling, bless him for not actually laughing, and said....
"Ok, Ive got five hundred, who'll give me 6?"
I was sick for about eight seconds, let me tell ya.

Since Nayman is a pauper there is no reason for him to join the auction. You folks do your thing and I'll wait.

DM:since nayman has no coin for a room, i will place him in the main room, near the back.

Hahaha something similar happened to a friend of mine at a art auction. She was drunk and not paying attention and almost paid a few thousand dollars for a painting. Once she realized what was happening she sobered up real fast!
