Ciar steps forward and takes the lead, using the Everbright torch to light the way for the humans. Figuring the northwest passage has been cleared, Ciar continues east at the first intersection.

Fulp speaks to the elf as she shuffles back into the pack...
So, umm, I missed your name I believe. Mine's Fulp. I do hope you are right. Those rats have been quite the match for us.

Sorsha will try to ease into a position next to the female elf and whisper: "You said you went through a lot to get here. What do you expect ta find?"
She points a dagger to her own chest, "Sorsha, by the way."

Ciar passes the elven maiden and begins leading the way through the tight kobold corridors. He leads the group down the southeast turn, then slightly east, which opens into the smaller, open area before the well room is to the northwest, and the smoked out rat chamber is to the east.

Also, feel free to chime in if you're not happy with your placement in the marching order.
Alethan, is the eastern passageway out of the well room what you meant to explore?[/ooc]

OOC: No, east from this point. Check out the smoked-out rats' nests first.
Ciar points east and says, "This is one of the giant rat nests. It's where I threw the flaming oil to flush them out. Don't know if they might have picked up any shiny objects we should look for or not, but worth spending a few minutes checking out..."
As long as it seems safe to do so, Ciar will cautiously enter the rat nest area, looking for anything of interest or value. If it seems the area is too smokey or there might be a chance of contracting some terrible disease from poking around in it, he'll leave it alone and lead everyone up to the well room to take THAT passage east and then south.

Sorsha waves her hand infront of her nose. "Ack. What's worse than rat smell? Burned rat smell."

Sylvan will guard the northwest passage leading to the well room while Ciar does his thing.

To
Fulp, as he passes, and
Sorsha who settles along side her, the elf offers a small smile,
"The name is Leliana."
To
Sorsha, whom lingers long enough to hear, she adds:
"I received word that the kolbolds were working with a powerful wizard and that their cave has some nice treasure in it, but it is also dangerous. I didn't come into this information easily though, you probably wouldn't be surprised to hear how often people are willing to kill for this kind of lead."

Sparrow chimes in.
Pssss, enough with the pleasantries. already. Lets get down to business in here.
Keep quiet and stay alert. Those critters can be rather crafty when they need to be. We need to be wary of possible traps.
He checks the ground to see if there are any new tracks around that weren't there before. He follows along in his place in the line as the scouts continue on through the complex.

Sorsha rolls her eyes and whispers to Leliana: "Thats Sparrow. He's really rather nice...usually." then she scrinches her nose, "A wizard, huh? If he's got any trinkets on him that do tricks there's some merchants in town that might pay a lot for'em."
She sees Sparrow turn.and give her a stern glance. "Alright!" she hisses. "Quiet. I know."

This foul-smelling cave has thick mounds of moldy straw on the floor, with a large patch of it burnt away compliments of
Ciar's previous tactic on the group's last visit. While
Sylvan covers the northwest, and
Grim the passage the group just entered from,
Ciar goes about searching the rat's den and fails to locate anything other than straw and rat droppings.
Sparrow searches the grounds for signs of new traffic, and does notice plenty of kobold foot traffic between the northwest passage and the western passage, but ignoring the rat den.

"Nuthin' here," Ciar mutters.
He leads the rest of the group northwest and then through the eastern passage that, he assumes, will take them to the large cavern with the small bridge over a chasm.

Leliana follows closely behind a few of the others, observing how the group interacts with each other. She noticed playful banter, but she could tell that the group seemed to have a genuine bond with each other. She kind of missed having that bond.
"So have you all found much in this cave already besides the rats? Kind of hoping I can earn some pay and pay off some outstanding debts. It's either that or I have to kill the guy, and he seems like such a good man too.

Sparrow cringes at the words of the new female elf, not sure if it's the fact that she won't keep quiet or because she just threatened to kill someone who she likes.
With hushed whispers and hand signals, he answers the newcomer.
Just stay silent and follow Ciar, we will have more than enough action in time, I assure you.
The black skinned human stays in his place in the order, keeping fully alert for traps or areas of possible ambush.

"Nuthin' here," Ciar mutters as he begins to lead the rest of the group northwest, into the room with the well of water, and then through the eastern passage that turns south.

After about 75-feet, the southern passage opens into another large cave, again with straw strewn across its floor. The ceiling vaults to a height of 12-feet, and three ledges, eight feet off the ground, look out over the main cavern. A 5-foot wide, 20-foot deep trench runs north to south through the western half of the cavern, with just one 5-foot wide bridge of natural stone
(30) allowing passage from one side to the other.

A fire pit
(61) is located in the middle of the far half of this large chamber, but the chamber appears to be otherwise vacant.

Sorsha continues to follow the train, keeping an eye out toward the back when it's safe to peak but anxious about her first kobold encounter.
"Where are they?" she whispers. "Hiding or do ya think they run off, like ya said earlier?"

Sparrow waits behind Ciar, wondering what he will suggest.
He tries to search for different tracks in this area and then strains his vision to see if there are unseen creatures huddled in the back of the 3 elevated areas.

Ciar shrugs, "This was empty when I first found it. But I never explored the room; just knew it was the only room I found where the tall ones might stand up straight. Let's look around."
Ciar moves over to the stone bridge and examines it to make sure it is safe. If so, he crosses it and examines the fire pit to see if he can tell how long it has been since it was used.

Grim has remained silent, pointedly ignoring the new member of the party.
He cranes his neck but ultimately can see nothing of the new room from his position.
