Are there hinges to the secret door? If so whack them about until they break, should stop it closing. Agrippo will guard at the back, perhaps one party rogues could a search the skeleton again, maybe he died here stuck behind the door and left some last will and testament, journal?

Iluq walks back and searches the door again, looking for any hinges now that they are on the other side. If he finds any he will start wailing on them with his hammers.

"If it only works with this thingy being put back in it and nothing else triggers the door we should be ok right",says Robert?

Fendt inquires trying to remember himself "Weren't there more of those torches back in one of the rooms near where we slept?"

Agrippo examines the secret door more closely, looking for hinges. Alas, the stone secret door isn't really hinged. The stone section of wall that swung open seems to be mounted on a pole through one end. That pole no doubt connects to the opening mechanism.

Perhaps it's just as well. Banging on hinges with a hammer would make no end of racket.

"We can try and wedge something under it or between the opening so it can't close. That might help keep it from closing. At least its better than doing nothing",says Robert.

Robert takes some wood and wedges it under the door to prevent it from closing and then moves a piece of furniture so that the door can't close with it in the way.

"There we are set let's focus ahead of us now unless you want to do something more to secure the secret door so it stays open",says Robert.

Fendt "Metal spikes would work but it'd make plenty of noise spiking it open."

Iluq looks over the Druids work, "That looks good enough for me, this door shouldn't be that heavy once it closes... Let's continue on."

Robert finds some unburnt wood in the fireplace and wedges it under the second secret door. He picks up one of the large, overstuffed chairs from the study, carries it through the fireplace and the first secret door, and sets it down where it would prevent the door from closing.

The secret door seems reasonably sure to remain open...unless someone moves the chair and removes the wooden wedges.

Tibbius

Do you think one of us should stay out here? You know......just in case?

Robert says, "If someone stays back and gets attacked we might not make it back in time to save them. I say let's take a look past the next door and make a decision then. If it leads to another room or some exit it won't matter. If it doesn't then we decide after that."

Sounds like good logic to me Robert. Please do lead on then.

Fendt nods agreeing with Robert "We managed to be left undisturbed for a good amount of time best to just all stick together and move forward." fendt takes out his ensorcelled staff to provide light.

Agrippo will wait patiently, trying not to hustle the guys along. " the big doors are they locked or trapped? wouldn't surprise me if there was just a wall on the other side and when they opened then the secret doors close leaving us to die suffocating on thin and thinner air. Perhaps there'll be plenty of air but we'll run out of food, so I suggest we eat fatso over there first". Agrippo points at the skinniest member of the group and licks his lips, in an attempt to lighten the mood.

Very funny Mr. Cannibal. Just keep an eye on that sword. I'm starting to freak out again.

"Let's have Tumbler check it out and if it's all clear we can proceed with the marching order. Tumbler leading as we go but ready to tumble back to the rear if needed", says Robert.

You discuss whether you think the wooden wedges and chair are enough to keep the secret door open. Tibbius suggests keeping someone back with the door, just in case. Robert counters that the party might not be able to get back in time to help anyone left with the door. Fendt, remarkably optimistic under the circumstances, points out that the party was left undisturbed for a good amount of time. Why would that change?

Agrippo, trying hard to be patient, directs the party's attention to the doors ahead. Tumbler steps forward and checks them out. He finds no trap. The great bronze doors aren't even locked.

Fendt stolls silently to the double doors and pokes one of them with his bo stick of light.

It's probably too late as they may have not been real quiet but he signals for the others to quiet down and for Tumbler and Fendt to listen at the door.

Robert whispers,"Tumbler if you don't mind opening those door once you hear it's clear in case there's traps on the other side?"

Tumbler opens the doors and hopes he didn't miss a trap.
