You hear a loud rumbling in the distance. Engines. Its the distinctive sound of motorcycles. Two headlights coming closer.

Chingy

Thoroughly freaked out by the newscast, Chingy reaches into his pocket and grabs a $20. He tosses it on the counter and slowly backs out of the diner, heading for his bike outside. He doesn't take his eyes off of the rest of the people in the diner on his way out the door.

The bikes roar into the parking lot and skid to a halt, parking next to the motorcycle already parked there. Two rough looking bikers, one shorter and a bit fat, other older with white/grey hair. MC jackets say "OutLaws" on the back.

Chingy

Knowing full well the Outlaw code, Chingy knows he must go hug and kiss his northern "brothers" but, after what he just heard.......I ain't kissin nobody! he thinks to himself.

When he gets outside he keeps a bit of a distance between himself and this pair. He pulls his neck rag back down from his face and says Whats up my brothers? Where you coming from? Seen any crazy shit out there on the road yet?

Steve B. - Trucker

Steve takes a seat in his truck. He looks at the time, "still plenty." He checks his messages in hopes Lola called while glancing outside occasionally at the bikers in the lot. Switching on the radio, he learns of the "outbreak" alert. In a panic state, he grabs-up his tools, phone and photo of Lola and heads back inside. Dialing his mother as he passes by the bikers in the parking lot he frantically demands, Mom, just listen! Stay inside and close the damn windows!"

Your call is suddenly cut off. You frantically dial again, and again, but the call wont go through. You figure with the emergency, the system must be overloaded.

The two bikers look at you and nod. They approach, obviously friendly.

The heavy guy.(Tiny)
Im Tiny, this is Whitey. Man, we got out of Philly yesterday. Its crazy there. Mobs of crazy fuckers rioting and attacking everyone. We were with a dozen other guys. We got broke up, scattered. I don't know what happened to the rest.

Whitey
These guys aint normal. Kids, old ladies even, they'll try to kill you and eat you. We figured we better head to the sticks. The cities are bad. News says New York is over run and this has started every where.

Sounds like a complete mess. They are saying that it's some airborne contagion. Are you guys feeling alright?

OOC- the only people in the diner are the diner staff, the player characters and the two guys talking in the corner.
After the warning flashes on the screen, Tucker lets the fork he was using to eat his salisbury steak to fall from his fingers and clatter on the counter, gravy flying around his plate. He looks over at the two in the corner talking and starts making his way over, keeping his eyes on the TV for the most part and looking at the two occasionally till he gets to their booth. "You two know anything about this? You look like an EMT, what the hell is going on?"

You can see that the EMT has a nametag " DEAN". He is looking at a video on a small laptop. He looks up at you.
Hey, its bad , real bad. Look at this on YouTube! Its crazy.
He flips the laptop around and you can see a video playing. It shows crowds of people roaming the streets, smashing windows , attacking cars, biting and clawing people. The mob looks lethargic, in a daze. Are they eating their victims? He flips to another video, then another and another. They are all the same. But you see some are dated yesterday and they are from different towns, different states.

"This has got to be a hoax! Aren't there like Russian hackers that can upload this kind of stuff to the internet and onto cable feeds?" Tucker looks outside and sees that two more bikers have arrived and are talking to Chingy. "Hey Flo! You better put another pot on. I think this is going to be a long night."

Mel the cook/diner owner
Its a bunch of bullshit. Get back to work. ORDER UP!
He smacks a small bell & puts plates of food at the pick-up window, then disappears again.

You sure you're feeling alright?

Chingy looks at Tinys hand and then gives Whitey a concerned look.

Has he been acting strange at all? That shit is messed up! This ain't anything like them couple of cases of attacks by freaks on bath salts that I have heard about!

Chingy

Right on bros. This place is a shithole, but they got all those things.

Let's get inside, grab a drink, and see if there's anything new on that broadcast. Tiny......you got any finger gloves to wear? I think ya better cover up that bite for now. And if you start feeling weird.......TELL US! Ok?
Chingy looks around the lot and wonders where that trucker ran off to.

Walking over to the corner booth and looking at the nightwatchman's shirt to see if it has a name-tag.

Hey, uh, Tucker? You don't by any chance have any weapons, do you? Anything we could use to keep infected people out would be helpful.

Raising voice and addressing everyone in the diner, Does anybody think it might be a good idea to try and keep people out? If this is airborne, I don't want anyone potentially infected coming in here and sneezing on me.

Looking outside and noticing the arrival of two additional bikers.

I'm not real thrilled with the fact we are probably going to have three likely felons in here with us, but I don't think it will be easy to convince them they can't come inside. On the bright side, they are pretty big. Maybe we should let them handle crowd control if it becomes necessary.

Steve B. - Trucker

[inside]Steve returns to his booth as he notices the patrons aware of the broadcast. Putting his tools on the floor beneath his booth, he drinks down his coffee and tries to dial-out on his cell. "Anyone getting a signal?" Steve says aloud to the Diner.

Takes out phone and checks for signal.

I'll try to contact the station, see if they have any information about this outbreak.

Derek walks back to his table, still trying to get reception on his phone. Sits down and starts speaking quietly to his cameraman John, maybe you should bring in your gear. We might be out of the way enough nobody will show up here, but let's be ready just in case. If we get lucky you can get some good footage that I can turn into a special report that hopefully will get us outta this backwater. Maybe somewhere like Chicago, Dallas, Seattle... Miami! Wonder if they have world bikini championships. I'd cover that.

Derek stands up and starts walking back to the corner booth, still fiddling with his phone. My phone isn't getting-

Suddenly, in the middle of the diner, Derek sneezes.
