Highway to hell
Re: Highway to hell
Cilian whispers, "If anyone has any oil, I suggest you get it out. Now."
Dragon foot. Bamboo pole. Little mouse. Tiny boy.
Re: Highway to hell
Don`t look at me, I don`t have any. I suggest calm retreat and better preparations... says Osric and backs up slowly, concentrated on his feet, to make as few noise as possible.
Re: Highway to hell
Nope, just my sword and dagger, says Tub, and I'll keep them out for now.
wp are they all around us, just in front, or just in the alcoves?

This is a game about killing things and taking their stuff so you can become more powerful in order to kill bigger things and take even better stuff.

Re: Highway to hell
"It's just a bunch of fuckin' rats - no sense in getting in a bind over that, eh? we'll step on 'em if they get to annoying!"
Re: Highway to hell
you only see the ones in the alcove near you in the torch light. shadows are moving on the outskirts of the light all around.
Re: Highway to hell
Whilst his companions debate the apparently looming rodent menace, Viktor sets down his bow and removes his pack to dig out another torch & his only vial of lamp oil. Once done, he'll quickly put his pack back on, sling his bow and light his torch from Cilian's torch.
"What's our play then, guys? We moving back to the stairs?" he asks nervously.
OOC: sorry for the lateness, Wolf & team. Work went ballistic again & I got hit with another nat 20!
Q: who has the other lit torch here, other than Cilian? Thought it was Scythius in the lead, or maybe Serg? Dose anyone else have a light source other than the torches?

Re: Highway to hell
I am nearly out of spells. Maybe we should find a place to rest soon but I'd like to know how big this gravethingy is. How about you other guys?

Re: Highway to hell
Confirming Scy has a torch lit (not sure how long left).
"If we rest, we'll need to go way back to daylight as our torch supply I don't think will last for that long - or if we can even start a fire down here with the corpse-leavings in this crypt.."

Re: Highway to hell
Maybe on the base of the stairs is enough space for the smoke of a fire. I could try to put a lightspell on a few Stones or stuff. It could maybe work as lightsource then, which we are going to need anyways...
Re: Highway to hell
"Let's fall back then, lads," Viktor iterates as he begins backtracking towards the stone stairs.
The young churl-deputy keeps his vial of lamp oil and lit torch to hand and ready for immediate deployment, and is careful to move ever so slowly, so as not to accidentally entice a reaction of the negative sort from the verminous rodent hordes apparently gathering.

Re: Highway to hell
The party returns to the base of the stairs the squeaking of the rats left in their wake.
Re: Highway to hell
That was a lang way down, lads... Say an exhausted Osric. The priest of Thor sinks in deep meditation and conversation with the god of thunder.
Re: Highway to hell
Are you going to bed down for the night?
Re: Highway to hell
That would be a good idea, regarding spells and healing...
Re: Highway to hell
OOC: is resting here to give Osric a chance to re-up his spells cool with everyone? If so, should he cast any remaining CLW spells on the most injured of the party before praying for more?
Wolf: confirming that the rats did not follow us back to the stair?

Re: Highway to hell
OOC: My only concern is light. We are very low on light sources. Honestly, we're low on everything - we came pretty poorly prepared.

Re: Highway to hell
He actually IS out of spells but he could bring a lightspell on stuff after the rest. We would have light for 8 Turns then.
