How are we handling cantrips? I prefer not to use the stock rules from UA where you have to sacrifice 1st level spells to retain cantrips, but I'll defer to the DM if he prefers that.

I usually allow the character to know their 'max spells per level' in cantrips (automatically start with all they can learn), and the character can cast 4 cantrips per day plus one more per day at every odd caster level (ie 5 per day at 3rd level, 6 per day at 5th, etc.). Thoughts?

im guessing this is the confirm email for the dice roller/character utility...i had to get tonixx to manually confirm mine in order to use it. hope this helps.

For this adventure we'll stick with UA rules on cantrips. In the future I may open it up.

i discovered in the 1e phb equipment list there is no: chalk, parchment, quill, vial of ink. can we assume these are there? i added them to my character sheet and deducted 3g for them. if no, i will remove them. thanks.

is this saying i should have a total of 8-1st level spells, 3-2nd level spells, and 1-3rd level spell at 5th level? with 35000 xp you are starting us out with, it sets my straight class MU at 5th level (5k xp from 6th). i've never started a character out above 1st level so i'm a bit confused, sorry.

ian has added magic items to inventory, added ac bonus for bracers, added wand to weapon page, cant do anything with scroll of cloudkill because its a 5th level spell and ian can only use 1st 2nd and 3rd lvl spells.

according to 1e dmg, wand of lightning does 12-36 points of damage counting all 1s rolled as 2s...how will i do this witht the die roller? 6-36 would be a simple [6d6]. thoughts? my only thought would be to physically roll 6d6 here at my desk then just type in the results with the modifiers.

The NPCs are pretty much done. I have reviewed the bios. I will start a new thread sometime tomorrow.
A couple of you appear to still be working on your characters - let me know when you are complete.
I am also asking for a reassurance of commitment from each of you -let me know that you're still committed to playing. Now's the time to back out if unsure!
Also : for the gnome, choose your armor/weapons so I can choose your magic items.

im still commited to the game. been waiting like a kid at christmas to get started i'm sure it will be a great game!
