General OOC thread
Re: General OOC thread
Mr. Hemlocks,
I was able to rip through the book fairly quickly. Its actually fairly light on rules changes and additions. The classes are interesting, but the bulk of it is trying to establish that post apocolypse Conan/elric feel.
Imerialus,
I'll look tonight when i get home on which issueit was.

@ Mr. Hemlocks: It looks like we have 5 players including yourself. 3 Characters so far, a Warrior, a Sentinel and a Thief. The earliest I'd likely be able to start the IC thread is on Sunday. I was originally aiming for Saturday, but I'm working during the day, and then have a Xmas party to go to that night so I probably won't get a chance to post anything.

What is the campaign ID?
I could not find a ID for this game so I went ahead and rolled my character at home. Kind of weak for a barbarian but I can work with him
Being that you plan to start running the game Sunday, and this is Saturday...I needed to make my character ASAP.

Sorry Mr. Hemlocks. My original target was to get things started today, but I'm stuck at work right now, and then have an Xmas party to get to so things are gonna have to get pushed back till tomorrow.
The campaign ID is 147.

Hemlocks,
We are able to roll four characters and pick the best to level to first level. Not sure if that would change your character choice.

I have been doing my reading and I can not figure out where humans of Urd came from. I know they were the slaves of the First Men of Ateva but nothing else concerning their origins. Also, what gods would they worship? Certainly not any of the 8 nor Leviathan because they had no role in human creation. Confused as the origin of humans and gods that they would worship...that actually took part in their creation.

Re: General OOC thread
The impression I got was that Ateva created them, as a slave race somewhat after the creation of the First Men.MrHemlocks wrote:I have been doing my reading and I can not figure out where humans of Urd came from. As for worship, it vary's from culture to culture. The Khazakhaan for example practice a from of Anamism, with Shaman as their holy men. The Keshites continue to worship the Sorcerer Kings, ect.

Re: General OOC thread
so you guys have a surprise round. Right now there are 4 guards in your immediate vicinity one of whom is about to stab the barbarian in the back, plus Ogre who is currently being strangled. The other 4 guards are out of reach. Genubath has remained on the boat, and is also out of reach.
You count about a half dozen Karthis Barbarians charging from the trees.
In terms of potential improvised weapons you could likely find tree branches and rocks both of which would do 1d4 damage.
You are also all chained together, in the following order. Ari-nasir, Ptah-Kahtmak, The Barbarian, Arngrim, Heptman (the NPC Keshite), Sargon, Mukuli

Imperialus,
Attacking from behind I should be able to sneak attack this guy. So are my thief skills, if you go with the crawl optional rule it allows a theif to pick skills that they are expert at, good, skilled, and fair I beleive. This is instead of the skills being determined by alignment.

You may have a spell prepared... Of course, rememorizing might be a challenge, as you don't know where your spellbook is, but you can have a spell memorized.Dogma wrote:Am I able have a spell current prepared or as a slave am I being prevented from casting in any way?

Neck. Your feet are unbound, but your hands are tied in front of you. Each of you is also wearing a metal collar attached to a chain that leads to the person on either side of you in line.Blazeguard wrote:How are we chained together? Hands? Feet?

Oops. That might make my leap tricky. How much slack is there between us? Enough for me to get to that guard? If not, I'd like to change my action to throwing some rock instead. Or is it too late?imperialus wrote:Neck. Your feet are unbound, but your hands are tied in front of you. You sure can use sneak attack. And yeah, looking at Crawl, I have no problem with using the thief optional rules.Rostranor wrote:Imperialus,

Re: General OOC thread
Arngrim is right behind the barbarian in line, and Ari-Nasir is in the front of the line so both of them are in easy reach of the guard about to attack the Barbarian. Ptah-Kahtmak, has Ogre pretty much breathing (or rather gurgling) down his neck, and may actually be able to pull his dagger from Ogre's belt while he is trying to pull the rope away from his neck. On the other end of the line, Sargon and Mukuli have enough slack to reach a different guard as well.Todd Spengo wrote:Oops. That might make my leap tricky. How much slack is there between us?
